@westwing
Ao3 authors will literally post under any fucking circumstances
There, right there. It’s… miraculous.
Josh & Donna + Josh’s bowties
I had to learn how to tie a tie. I remember really struggling with that, and us doing that a lot. They gave me a little chart that showed me how to do it. I wanted to be able to tie it really well without thinking about it. That is one skill I’ve taken away from The West Wing. I don’t remember all the politics, but I can remember how to tie a bowtie. It’s very sexy. There’s nothing subtle about the look on my face when I’m doing it [in On the Day Before]. It’s like, “Wow, she really, really digs this guy.” They let us play with that. I remember very well feeling like I had the opportunity to be really close to him, but I had a reason because I was tying his tie. I thought that would be fun for the audience, to see us very close together and doing this intimate thing, but it’s innocent because I’m tying his tie. - Janel Moloney
no pressure but like i need to know what happens
having adult money meant no one could stop me from buying westwing.livejournal.com
hey there i just finished the west wing and i am currently making my way through your fic. you seem to be a big writer in the fandom so i am wondering if maybe you can recommend other writers a new reader may like? thank you and i love your work and please if this is a question you would rather not answer feel free to ignore it
Thanks for the question! I don't mind at all giving recommendations. Although I definitely do not consider myself a big writer in the fandom. Okay, fine, I wrote a very popular work but there are some people way more prolific than I with a versatile roster of writing and ideas under their belt and I wish they got more love and attention. So I'm actually really grateful you asked this question so I can hype them up.
I'll just drop a list of some of my favorite writers in the fandom in no particular order:
JessBakesCakes, @jessbakescakes hufflepuffhermione, @hufflepuffhermione onelargecoffeepls, @onelargecoffeepls sam_writes_fics, @sam-loves-seb heliotropic BeneathAnOrangeSky fairwinds09 thotsandfeelings, @moss-lyman ansatz, @westwing perfect_little_fool hanyolo If I dropped anybody's ao3 pseud and forgot to add their Tumblr, they can let me know. Conversely, if anyone wants me to un-@ them please also let me know.
Anyway, congratulations on finishing The West Wing, and have fun reading!
THE WEST WING 4.02 – “20 Hours in America: Part II”
The West Wing + The Onion headlines (?/?)
Josh & Donna + walk and talks
Janel Moloney: Remember all those issues that everyone had about your walk… people mentioned your walk now and again. The whole thing about your “strut.” Bradley Whitford: I got very upset because people would not phrase it that way. They would say, “I love that weird walk thing you’re doing for this character.” Aaron Sorkin: I always felt that every walk and talk that you did, at least in the corridors, it was as if you were talking to Donna, but you were also checking for snipers.
