Established in 1970, Camp Firewood is opening once more for the summer! Join campers (ages 7-14) and counselors (ages 20-25) alike as they embark on their journeys of self discovery during their visit here. Counselorās goals are to make children feel welcome and happy while ensuring their safety and well being. While we understand that in 1981, there was a particularly rambunctious group of counselors, we do strive for perfection at Camp Firewood.
wet hot rpg is a glee multiples roleplay set during the summer of 2016 at camp firewood near waterville, maine. it is loosely based around the plot of wet hot american summer!
Weāre unsure of much of a surprise this will be to you all, but itās sad to post regardless, and Emmy and I think this is the best course of action to take. With significant drops in activity and lack of muse in our characters, we have decided to close Wet Hot RPG. To those of you that have remained active, thank you so so much, youāve made things so amazing for us!
When I first came to Emmy with the idea for this group she was completely supportive and excited, even though she hadnāt seen Wet Hot American Summer--the loose inspo for this group and one of my favorite movies. When we started the group, we were lucky enough to open up interactions within five days of receiving our first app. That was amazing, especially on my part as a first time admin without any real clue of what I was doing.
But all good things must come to an end, and after deliberation, Emmy and I decided that at least for us, this is the end of the line for Camp Firewood. In no way is this an order, to those who are still active, to stop interacting. We will leave the ooc open for you all to gather and chit chat, and encourage you to build connections with your characters. Theyāre amazing, and we wouldnāt want anyone to miss out on that.

Iād give myself a 7/10 as this is me making my way back into roleplaying again, I donāt have many other groups that Iāll be joining as well. I do have a full time job though, but I spend most of my free time at home taking care of my father.
- Why do you believe that you are fit to be a Camp Firewood counselor? What brings you to this specific camp and what qualities do you possess that would make you a good leader for the campers?
Iāve always been very good with kids, I think itās because I love having fun and being free so I connect with children on that level. Iām a kid at heart and find the smallest enjoyments out of child like things like coloring and having a bright imagination. This camp seemed to be the one that caught my eye the most because they seem to wanna focus on the kids happiness and enjoyment of spending their summer here so that made it the most outstanding one. Iām very optimistic and very outgoing, I can be very creative as well which is good when handling children because they all have very active imaginations and tons of energy so you have to be able to handle that energy and creativity. I think with the type of person that I am that Iām very good at handling kids whether they be shy and quiet or loud and energetic.

I actually have a very broad comic book collection back home, Iāve been collecting them since I was 11 and Iāve continued to collect them to this day. Superheroes are the majority of them because their stories and universes have always fascinated me. I love finding new ones, finding rare ones, even ones that are super popular and you can find anywhere. Each comic book is a very prized possession to me, no matter the quality or the quanitiy that they have of them because itās not that that Iām interested in, Iām more interested in the stories and the characters. Iām a pretty big on collecting things in general, I also have a good amount of tapestries that Iāve collected for about 3 years now and I still continue to collect them to this day. Iāve got some on my walls, draped from my ceiling, I just enjoy all the patterns and colors that they all have. None of them are the same either which makes me enjoy each one even more, theyāre comforting to me and eye appealing which helps with my anxiety.
-Ā Who would you say is the most influential person in your life? They can be real or fictional, dead or aliveāwe want to know why theyāre so special to you.
Iād say the most influential person in my life would have to be the 70 year old lady that lives below me in my apartment building, her name is Cindy and sheās probably the most interesting woman that Iāve ever met. Her stories are amazing, her journey through the years have been very eye opening to me and have made me want to do a lot more things for the people around me which is also a reason Iāve come to this camp. She was one of the first woman in her town to start the movement for womenās rights which was amazing to me, it was probably the bravest story Iāve heard from anyone. Sheās a very adventurous soul and an old soul, sheās understanding and compassionate and the sweetest lady youād ever meet. Sheās just made me want to do better, be better for myself and for the people around me because we all influence each other in many different ways.

Iāve been hittinā up summer camps with my bro since I was little so Iām kind of a pro at this. I know everything them kids think they can be sneaky about. Anyway I'mĀ inbetweenĀ jobs and taking a break from sellinā drugs for cashĀ school to figure my stuff out so here I am. Plus I play a ton of cool instruments so Iām obviously gonna be a favorite with the campers. Booyah.

Okay well itās probably obvious but Iām super into music. My dad taught me how to play the ukelele, guitar, and piano, and I taught myself drums and harmonica when I got older. So most people think I wanna be this super cool frigginā rockstar, right? And I did for a while and if you look hard enough you can probably find some covers I did on youtube that look like I filmed āem with a shoebox. Iām just not totally convinced itās what I wanna do for the rest of my life. Fame sounds nice and all but it also sounds like hell. Sorry, heck. Sounds like heck.

Man not to sound like a cop out but no one. I donāt think one specific person should have that big of an impact on your life. In my opinion everyone you come across helps shape your life in one way or another. Even if you donāt notice it. Super simple things. Giving all the credit to one person because you like a speech they gave or their music hits you in the right spot is a big olā middle finger to the little people who without them, you wouldnāt be the you that you are today. Was that confusing enough for y'all? Makes sense to me.
