My Adventures of Being a DM
One of the joys of being a DM is asking, “Who touches the [insert item] first?” and watching the players bicker, knowing full well it’s harmless.
The second joy is luring them into believing that every time you ask this question they’re safe, then you throw a mimic in their face.
The ultimate joy is doing this again and again.
Memento Mori...
I don’t usually comment about YouTube channels, but I would just like to thank everyone who worked on Unus Annus. Nerd Fiction, Diceroll, Rachel, Lixian, Amy, Ethan, and Mark, thank you.
It was such a wonderfully unique idea filled with breath taking creativity... really, I couldn’t stop laughing. In all seriousness, deciding to tackle a difficult topic like death is ambitious, but I don’t think anyone else would have been able to do it quite like you. You’ve made people laugh, you’ve made people cry, but most importantly you taught people to let go. But not letting go in the sense of giving up, letting go in the sense of appreciating each and every second that is given to you. By filling those gifts with our potential, by creating, and spending those last seconds with the people we care about.
Obviously over one million people care about you. Everyone of you.
Again, I would like to genuinely thank everyone for their hard work on making Unus Annus possible. For creating a strong community that will be united in memory for years to come.
You can finally rest now... well for as long as your ambitions allow you.
Memento Mori.
Unnus Annus.
A new creation for me. Curry Squash pie for a cold day treat.
No jokes. No memes. I just love this movie. It deserved, and always will deserve, so much more recognition than it got. These women deserve more. Schools need to teach about Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan, Mary Jackson, and all the other brilliant women of color who worked during the Space Race. In fact, schools need to teach more about people of color in any point in history.
If you haven’t seen this movie, watch it! Show it to your family! Show it to your friends! Show it to your kids! Feed that hunger for knowledge, encourage that thirst for discovery! Work together, love one another, and for god’s sake treat people like the humans they are. We are all different, but instead of discriminating or ignoring those differences we should love them as much a we love the diversity of the stars. Marvel at the bright light they cast in an uncertain and infinite space and how together they make something beautiful. Because when humans work together, we achieve the impossible and the wonderful.
Black Lives Matter!
I had an epiphany.
I do not own any rights to the movie or book of “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before”, I just edited the photo with my terrible skills (?).
His reactions are just too good.
“ ‘Go on, have a pasty,’ said Harry, who had never had anything to share before or, indeed, anyone to share it with. It was a nice feeling, sitting there with Ron, eating their way through all Harry’s pasties, cakes, and candies (the sandwiches lay forgotten).”
-JK Rowling, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
I tried out some recipes from The Unofficial Harry Potter Cookbook by Dinah Bucholz: chicken and mushroom hand pies, mashed parsnips, and pumpkin pasties for dessert.
“Come inside, have a nice cuppa tea.” -Worm, Labyrinth
