Hi, I've been asking about a G3 pony here before, but I recently found some ponies from my childhood, and among them is this G1 Tootsie.
I know who she's supposed to be because of her cutie mark, but I'm not sure if she's supposed to be a variant of the character. I'm from Venezuela, so I theorized she could be one of the Tootsie variants that was here
I'm sorry it's not in the best condition, the eyes are a little faded and there are some marker stains that I don't remember how they got there (she also has very short hair, but I do remember being the one who cut it because I wanted to give her short hair)
You have totally got it! This is the Venezuelan variant of Tootsie who was released in 1984!
Unlike the American release, who is yellow/greeny colour,
this variant is a pinky/reddish/orange, and is referred to as "Squeaky Butt".
There are 5 Venezuelan variants of Tootsie;
variation 1
variation 2
variation 3
(your pony here)
variation 4
and variation 5
Tootsie also had various international releases, including Peruvian, Italian and Spanish releases in different colours
In 2021 Tootsie was included in a retro re-release where she was bright yellow instead of her original yellow/green tint.
I remember having a baby pony that seemed to be from G3 that looked exactly like this but it was orange with fuchsia mane (she looked like Scootalo but came with phrases and said she was Pinkie Pie) I don't know if she was a fakie or was just Pinkie Pie with a different color, I don't know if you can help me with that :( thank you
This really sounds like
"So Soft Crawling Scootaloo" G3 released in 2008 during My Little Pony's 25th Anniversary.
some notes;
-there was a Pinkie Pie version released along side with her
-they shared all the exact same catchphrases except their names
(I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if a Pinkie Pie voice box ended up in a Scootaloo! 😆)
⬇️ Short history of "So Soft Newborns" from My Little Pony ⬇️
"So Soft Newborns" were a G3 line with dolls like
"Bon Appetit" released between 2004 and 2006
Starting in 2009 the second G3 line would be released as well as the "So Soft Crawling" dolls, sporting a new updated look
(screenshot from mylittlewiki.org)
Between 2010 and 2013 they would once again revamp this line for G4
(btw that is Apple Sprout? not Apple Bloom.)
and finally in 2016 the "So Soft Newborn Flurry Heart" would be released for the end of G4
compilation of mlp fakies that don't just go for the vauge "colorful horse" aesthetic but directly try and imitate the existing characters
a lot of these are available on sites like amazon, temu and ali express. generally its good to avoid those larger, ethically questionable and sketchy coorporations and go for small businesses and second-hand, but a lot of these you'd be hard pressed to find out in the wild, so the sites sure are tempting. if you do buy any of these, id love to hear your review of them / see photos. if i find second hand/ small buisness listings for em ill link those.
also, if anyone spots a listing (second hand or otherwise) for these that i didnt link, please comment/reblog with it! some of these i couldnt find any current listings for
this ones gonna focus on mini figures, but i'll move more towards brushables and plushes in reblogs
the fakies you will most often see online seem to be these guys. they attempt to emulate actual mlp characters, but to... tragic results. these creatures are made by a company called "kids corner" according to amazon, and are similar looking to blind bag ponies, but a bit bigger. they are still available on amazon and ali express
i was initially not going to put them on here bc they imitate the cast so poorly... but then i saw their applejack up close.
can't argue with perfection.... they gave her a silly hat.
the rarity, fluttershy (not pictured), and pinkie toys are also good enough to be charmingly silly instead of horrifying like the spike or utterly astoundingly innacurate like the celestia and sweetie belle
labelled "my little lony", this series of toys rips off mlp AND lego. its a lego immitation that uses figurines clearly molded off mlp blind bag figures. theres a lot of random figures that dont resemble any specific ponies, but some do more than others - and their hair is removable and can be switched, so you could probably make some more accurate ponies! they were sold on ali express & amazon, but currently seem to be all out of stock
these rings, spotted on ali express. my initial reaction was "holy [censored]" theyre so funny silly goofy! totally fakies! but then i was like.... thats clearly glazed ceramics. which is (relatively) accessible normal person art materials. not like... plastic. so, the fear was that its a fake listing of someones fan work, but reverse searches bring up pages upon pages of just ali express, with the exception of the sites Taobao and [Qoo10], which seem to be based in Vietnam and Japan respectively. Considering Ali Express is from China, this implies that whoever makes these is somewhere in Asia? all the info available points to them being unlicensed! so, while, unique, they, in my eyes, count as fakies
blind bag mlp-knockoff minifigures. theres quite a lot of these: you'll be seeing more down the list. theres a lot of these ones with this soft sculptural look to them from asia specifically, mostly china. these particular beasts are listed several times on ali express, but most seem to be out of stock atm. this might be for the best, considering this disclaimer of potentially hazardous chemicals. my favorites are the rainbow dash and twilight ones, although fluttershy partially-in-her-gala-dress is also very cute. theyre mostly not too innacurate, but the white pony who seems to be celestia stands out as being a lot less so... this listing took a while to find but actually is in stock, has more ratings than most, and dosen't have the hazardous chemicals disclaimer lol
more blindbag knockoffs! told you theres more! these ones are resin figures, wheras i think a lot of the others are plastic. theyre very chubby and goofy, and very politely included spike as well as the main six, sunset, starlight, and trixie. and the spike is actually really cute... this one seems unavailable online atm - at least on websites my computer will let me visit without screaming "scam" at me.
these blind bag knockoffs are incredibly cute, and some of my personal favorite fakies. i also find it incredibly funny that after making the mane 6 and starlight, their next choice for a pony to immitate was tree hugger lol! personally i actually really want the fluttershy, AJ, and tree hugger but have been devastated to find that there are no more listings up for these guys atm :( if anybody finds them pls tell me, esp if its a second hand listing!
these frankly adorable snow globes, which do have the mlp logo on them but don't seem to be actually official. theres a chance that they might be, but their resemblence to similar looking fakie statues makes me suspicious, and they arent listed as official on any of the mlp merch sites i use. part of why i dont trust it is the recolored twilight that seeeems to be meant to be celestia, but could just be a totally randomized pony. the only currently in stock online listings are on sites that scare me with lots of pop ups
... the other reason i don't think theyre official is these other snow globes, also with the mlp logo, which include... alicorn fluttershy??? yeah that dosent look officially liscened to me.
more snow globes! these ones are better than the other ones tbh. i actually kinda want the twilight and fluttershy if im being honest. theyre on this site for $14, and the site and price seems less sketchy than most you find these sorta things on, but im still nervous abt it.
once again, the mlp logo is used for these, but they don't seem to be legit. they are described as "desktop decorative figurines" and honestly cuter than they have any right to be. the twilight sparkle seems to have some yellow in her hair which i like a lot.
these squeaky toy figures. they sort of resemble the mlp "playskool" series of toys, aimed at younger children, or the "mashems" blind bags - but they are molded slightly different and have soft rubber bodies that squeak when squeezed. theres does not seem to be any current listings for them online. they include blob-like imitations of the mane 6, the cmc, and cheerilee
once again, a fakie that blatantly uses the mlp logo, but is in fact not official. this rip off on the equestria girls mini vinyl series is listed as "my little pont girls toy" on amazon, but not in stock, it seems. im mostly interested in it bc of the silly pony fakies in the middle
these fakie keychain figures, which honestly have a very nice applejack and rarity, and good dash and pinkie. they also have a unicorn fluttershy with the wrong cutie mark and one thats the exact same as their rainbow dash (including cutie mark), but with a vaguely twilight-esque color scheme. these are still available on ali express and temu. i like that they gave them hooves!
Hi!! I used to have a pony that looked extremely similar to the pic of bumble berry from this post ( https://www.tumblr.com/what-pony-is-this/752545021311451136/whats-that-strawberry-cutie-mark-early-2000s?source=share ) Like same mold, same sparkly plastic, *extremely* similar color pallete, except she had a cutie mark of a paint palette and it had a purple (i thjnk) gem set into the plastic like it was part of her cutie mark. I called her glitter glue when i was little.
This sounds like
Dibble Dabble!
released in 2004 and re-released in 2005
for a Walmart exclusive!
Dibble-Dabble is a purple earth pony with a pink and yellow mane and a jewel-set cutie mark and does share a striking similarity to Bumbleberry!
Her mane was extra long for brushing and her character card suggested she painted with her tail!
Glitter Glue is also a very fitting name for this pony and her cutie mark!
Just found your account and I have a LOT of ponies, and I'm very curious about some of them! So I'm gonna be sending a few asks, no rush to answer, and no worries about order!
Next, he have Celestia. And she talks. Her wings glow. Her cutiemark is a button. She has accessories.
Her wings glow, flap and she speaks when you press the button. A few phrases: "Let's fly to the castle!" "Spectacular!" "My berets[?] Look so pretty!" "I love to may new freinds!" *Sparkle sound* "I'm a princess! Are you a princess too?" "I am princess Celestia!"
Thanks!
One of my favourite toys because it reminds me of my favourite 5 second video.
GUYS SHE'S HERE, IT'S FINALLY...
Giant Talking Princess Celestia (Pink)
Released IMMEDIATELY to stores in 2010 directly after the premiere of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic,
the electronic, light up, talking, brushable Princess Celestia....
...was pink (even tho white celestia was literally on the box!)
and everyone was so confused.
So before Bronies curled the finger of the monkey's paw that was "can we have show accurate merch?" Hasbro's toy lines were determined basically out of house and with focus groups;
children in those groups (or adults), decided the pink horse with the sparkly wings would be more appealing to children seeing the toy for the first time in stores.
Not at all considering the adult fanbase (UNDERSTANDABLY) who would be going to Toys R Us looking for "show accurate fandom merch".
By 2012 an exclusive, marketed to older fans as "finally show accurate", Giant Talking Princess Celestia (WHITE) would be released to Toys R Us.
Hasbro would end up releasing a Princess Cadance version of this toy as well!!
I don't even know who this pony is. It's done in the older style tho.
Quick note, her hoofs look like this
So she may have been part of a toy set????? I can't find anything out of my bin that belongs to her tho.
Thanks!
Here we have
Toola-Roola from the 2008 McDonald's Release!
A Note About Them Holes in Their Hooves:
Hasbro wanted to make sure McDonalds' toys had the ability to have playset interaction, then kids could bring the toys home and play seamlessly between collections. (neat!)
Unfortunately they wouldn't utilize this very much as Hasbro keeps changing the designs of their toys!
I don't really have any fun facts about Toola-Roola aside from that she kinda sounds like G4 Rainbow Dash in the G3 cartoon
and she makes a brief appearance in the Friendship is Magic
season seven episode "Fame and Misfortune"
(I previously identified Rainbow Dash from this collection with a fun fact if you would like to read it find it here >> x )
Just found your account and I have a LOT of ponies, and I'm very curious about some of them! So I'm gonna be sending a few asks, no rush to answer, and no worries about order!
First, we have a pony that is clearly cadence but...
As you can tell, she's not the normal color. I've wondered about it forever.
If it helps, on her front hoofs, she has the mlp emblum thingy, then on the other hoof, "NV106" (I have a few ponies, including Shining armor and Maud with the same material and number on them, but Cadence is the only weird one)
Thank you!!!!
So it's 2013, Bronies are storming Hot Topic and demanding cool collectable figures of their very favourite ponies and what do they do?
Why team up with Funko of course!!
Funko and Hot Topic collab to create an exclusive line of blind boxes called Mystery Minis where the gimmick is that they're all black OR glow in the dark; and you want to collect them so you can get the
PROPERLY COLOURED ONES
(seen below for example,
Black Muffins, Glow in the Dark Muffins, Ultra Rare Muffins)
So here you have Princess Cadance (black)
from series 3 released in 2015
By series 3 the glow in the dark gimmick wasn't quite as popular so she only had one other version which was her ultra rare regular coloured version.
So just to note; you mentioned you have Shining Armor and Maud Pie from the same line and they are normal colours?
You may just have some super rare pony merch on your hands!!
I hope this was informative and thank you for the submission!!
Hello! I was wondering if you'd help me identify some of my pony merch.
I bought this Applejack at an antique store. I don't have a clue what those brown marks on her leg are. She also only has a cutie mark on one side.
I have this pony who I believe is G3 Rainbow Dash? The marks on her face don't look familiar, though.
And then the Applejack plush I bought at Cracker Barrel. She didn't come with a hat, and her mane is styled differently. She also has a cutie mark on just one side.
Let's do this!
First image is Pirate Applejack!
Unfortunately she is missing her neat hat!
This particular Applejack came from the
"Pirate Ponies Collection" released exclusively at Walmart in 2017 for My Little Pony: The Movie!
I assume the brown marks on her legs are straps of some kind, possibly of the pirate variety.
Next image is yes! G3 Rainbow Dash,
This is specifically from the 2008 McDonald's release.
Honestly I am not entirely sure about the extra markings,
I think it was just an attempt to add a little flair.
( Fun Facts:
2008 saw a mini rerelease of My Little Pony with only
7 episodes that simply reintroduced some of the cast of characters that had already been present in the show since 2003.
2008 also saw the release of the liveshow
"My Little Pony: The World's Biggest Tea Party"
and if you have a chance to watch any clips of it,
I highly recommend it for a good time. )
And finally we have...
Applejack plush! (by Aurora)
Now Aurora released multiple sizes and versions of this plush, pictured directly above is the 6.5 inch plush; which looks closest to the one you have provided.
Since I'm assuming you bought her alone,
this is hopefully the correct plush.
Other versions of the 6.5 inch plush also came with a little bag >
and, finally there was a 10 inch version of the Applejack Aurora plush and she is very cute!!
OK so basically I once saw this bootleg My Little Pony toy set for sale and I bought it because not only it was named “Mm Cittloee Ponopy”, it also came with a 25 cent coin and an honest-to-god cigarette inside it amongst the little ponies.
This one is interesting because she almost looks like a blindbag figure- but Tempest was only released with one pose in the blindbags (seen below) and makes tracking down her toys a lot easier.
(blindbag tempest, shown for comparison)
Your Tempest Shadow is actually from another "My Busy Books" release, specifically the "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: The Movie, Busy Book" that also included 12 figures, a playmat, and a short story. (the story being the movie's plot)
It was released approximately 2017/early 2018
Aaaand just like the previous Busy Book (link) I've talked about, the figures included are adorably wonky.

Hey! I was wondering if you might be able to ID a pony from a description-- I had a friend as a child who let me borrow ponies from their MLP collection, and I have a very distinct memory of one specific one, but don't actually know enough about My Little Pony to know how to look for them (I just thought horses were cool and liked the texture of the brushable mains).
The traits I recall are:
The pony's main color was a really lovely shade of blueish-purple, sort of lavender? Their mane was a shade of darker blue that was quite vivid, and they had an extremely bright cyan cutie mark.
They were covered quite thoroughly in little holographic rainbow clovers that I'm almost certain were decals/stickers, as a couple of them were peeling pretty badly.
This was in 2009-2010-ish, but they were already rather old and had been in a batch of hand-me-downs from their owner's older siblings
Thanks in advance for any info or leads!
I was digging around in G3 and then I realized...
Rainbow clover stickers...
We're looking at G2!!!
I'd like to introduce, Clever Clover!
First released in 1997,
Clever Clover is one of the few male ponies released in the main line!
He has a lovely blue/purple coat, dark blue hair, light blue eyes and, a bright cyan clover as a cutie mark!
He also came with holographic clover stickers!!
(seen below)
Fun fact (1): Clever Clover would be released again in a "Royal Wedding" set with Morning Glory as Prince Clever Clover in Europe in 1999; and again in 2001 as Prince Fauna in a set called "Romantic Ponies" alongside Princess Flora. Although his cutie mark would be changed to a silver clover.
Fun fact (2): His file card contains a typo! (seen below)
Fun fact (3): He was referenced in G4 in the Season 2 episode, "Hearth's Warming Eve".
Twilight Sparkle plays his role as "Clover The Clever" in their holiday pageant and, this version of Clover would get his own official G4 redesign in the Gameloft mobile game "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic". (seen below)

I'm guessing that she might be a Mcdonald toy because of her stand? But i can't find a brand or anything sculpted anywhere. Her cutie mark is only on one side
I swear if she's also a bootleg I'm gonna cry /j lh
This is an interesting one! At first I assumed she may be a board game piece but turns out I need to brush up on my international releases!
While you are close with it being a McDonald's toy, this particular Minty was probably distributed by "Quick", a Belgian restaurant in France similar to Burger King around 2005.
Her base actually acts as a lid as she would have been a topper for a "sticker holder" (seen below)
What's also interesting is that they would also distribute this model as a stamp in a set with Petal Blossom in the US (and possibly internationally) in 2005!
I hope that helps!! Thank you for your submission!!
