everybody hates on Frozen and I get being sick of it bc it took off and became THE Disney movie of this era and it’s everywhere and I GET why people get sick of the over-saturation of merch and I understand it has flaws but like. I fuckin love it my dudes. Do y’all remember when they were first advertising it? It was a COMPLETELY different movie. Elsa turned into this evil ice witch and stuff and it was boy and girl conquer evil witch and I didn’t even wanna see it. But then I did and their focus shifted to familial love and I just. I want that. I want Disney to tell stories of different types of love. Frozen and Brave and Moana shifted the focus. Because girls shouldn’t exist just to grow up and love a man. We love our parents and our siblings and our people. We love our cultures. We love adventure. We love ourselves. That’s what Disney should be teaching little kids, girls especially. I want more movies like Frozen, and Brave, and Moana. I want these for my kids, for the next generation. (And yes, PLEASE add color and culture and a spectrum of race and religion and sexuality!!!)
