Acting is the ability to live truthfully under imaginary circumstances.
Sanford Meisner
The genius thing we did was, we didn't give up.
Jay-Z
I really believe that if thereâs any kind of god, he wouldnât be in any one of us â not you, not me â but just this space in between. If thereâs some magic in this world, it must be in the attempt of understanding someone else, sharing something, even if itâs almost impossible to succeed. But who cares â the answer must be in the attempt.
-Céline; Before Sunrise
Time takes it all, whether you want it to or not. Time takes it all, time bears it away, and in the end there is only darkness. Sometimes we find others in that darkness, and sometimes we lose them there again.
The Green Mile by Stephen King
We're all just walking each other home.
Ram Dass
The first time I saw her... Everything in my head went quiet. All the tics, all the constantly refreshing images just disappeared. When you have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, you donât really get quiet moments. Even in bed, Iâm thinking: Did I lock the doors? Yes. Did I wash my hands? Yes. Did I lock the doors? Yes. Did I wash my hands? Yes. But when I saw her, the only thing I could think about was the hairpin curve of her lips.. Or the eyelash on her cheekâ the eyelash on her cheekâ the eyelash on her cheek. I knew I had to talk to her. I asked her out six times in thirty seconds. She said yes after the third one, but none of them felt right, so I had to keep going. On our first date, I spent more time organizing my meal by color than I did eating it, or fucking talking to her... But she loved it. She loved that I had to kiss her goodbye sixteen times or twenty-four times if it was Wednesday. She loved that it took me forever to walk home because there are lots of cracks on our sidewalk. When we moved in together, she said she felt safe, like no one would ever rob us because I definitely locked the door eighteen times. Iâd always watch her mouth when she talkedâ when she talkedâ when she talkedâ when she talked when she talked; when she said she loved me, her mouth would curl up at the edges. At night, sheâd lay in bed and watch me turn all the lights off.. And on, and off, and on, and off, and on, and off, and on, and off, and on, and off, and on, and off, and on, and off, and on, and off, and on, and off, and on, and off, and on, and off. Sheâd close her eyes and imagine that the days and nights were passing in front of her. Some mornings Iâd start kissing her goodbye but sheâd just leave cause I was just making her late for work... When I stopped in front of a crack in the sidewalk, she just kept walking... When she said she loved me her mouth was a straight line. She told me that I was taking up too much of her time. Last week she started sleeping at her motherâs place. She told me that she shouldnât have let me get so attached to her; that this whole thing was a mistake, but... How can it be a mistake that I donât have to wash my hands after I touched her? Love is not a mistake, and itâs killing me that she can run away from this and I just canât. I canât â I canât go out and find someone new because I always think of her. Usually, when I obsess over things, I see germs sneaking into my skin. I see myself crushed by an endless succession of cars... And she was the first beautiful thing I ever got stuck on. I want to wake up every morning thinking about the way she holds her steering wheel.. How she turns shower knobs like she's opening a safe. How she blows out candlesâ blows out candlesâ blows out candlesâ blows out candlesâ blows out candlesâ blows out⊠Now, I just think about who else is kissing her. I canât breathe because he only kisses her once â he doesnât care if itâs perfect! I want her back so bad... I leave the door unlocked. I leave the lights on.
Neil Hilborn from the poem OCD
So what if we don't make sense on paper. We don't live our lives on paper.
Rick Castle; Castle
Despite the consistently rising cost of living, it remains extremely popular.

Everyone has their own experience. Thatâs why we are here, to go through our experience, to learn, to go down those paths and eventually you may have gone down so many paths and learned so much that you donât have to come back again.
Prince
Sympathyâs easy. You have sympathy for starving children swatting at flies on the late-night commercials. Sympathy is easy because it comes from a position of power. Empathy is getting down on your knees and looking someone else in the eye and realizing you could be them, and that all that separates you is luck.
Dennis Lehane
There are people who dislike you because you do not dislike yourself.
 Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie (via invorto)
Itâs all about forward motion. Doesnât matter what breaks, catches fire or falls over. Get up. Eat fire. Step over debris. Keep moving.
Warren Ellis (via superheroesincolor)
Listen to me, your body is not a temple. Temples can be destroyed and desecrated. Your body is a forest â thick canopies of maple trees and sweet scented wildflowers sprouting in the underwood. You will grow back, over and over, no matter how badly you are devastated.
Beau Taplin // T e m p l e s (via afadthatlastsforever)
The best years of your life are the ones in which you decide your problems are your own. You don't blame them on your mother, the ecology, or the President. You realize that you control your own destiny.
Albert Ellis
Lookup. Youâre standing on a chunk of rock floating about in an infinite universe made up of light, dust and nothingness. In an existence without order or purpose, the only action of any significance is to find something that matters to you, something that gives your life reason and meaning.
Beau Taplin // T h e  A c t (via afadthatlastsforever)
Where is the wealthiest place in the world? Do you know? It's not China. It's not Dubai. It's the graveyard. Because in a graveyard, you will find inventions never invented. Businesses never erected. Songs never sung. Books never written. Ideas never nurtured. People never realized. Because they were scared to take a risk. Scared like you. But you wanna know something else? You're not in a graveyard. Yet. Don't let this negative world get to you. Don't let it win. Do not go where the path may lead, but go where there is no path, and leave a trail.
Prince Ea (Why Most People Die Before Age 25)
