Once upon a time three years ago, I hitchhiked to Barcelona with two gentlemen, one of which was an aspiring actor and director. Of course, I found him fascinating and we exchanged fb. Today I found out through his post that he’s doing quite well and was contracted by the famous Sears-type store to write and direct his own commercial. He was given full liberty to express and use his artistic license. He directed this AMAZING commercial for El Corte Inglés for their back-to-school deals, however, I didn’t get to see his commercial because, in that same post, he announced that, as homophobic Spain would have it, the public demanded that it be taken down after being viewed ONCE on air. He had such sad words to say on the subject, which made me have to go on youtube and try to find it. This kills me. I’m so upset. Don’t censor humanity. He worked so hard to deliver such a touching image/reality for some families and children. And people had to find it offensive?! I’ve never seen it more fitting to send a group of people “a tomar por culo!” </3
