Something about today brings me back to the time I dropped everything and got in a car at 11pm with a boy I liked and drove across the country to California. I didn’t know what I was going to do there but I found a job. I didn’t just step out of my comfort zone, I jumped and started falling head first. Somehow I managed to land on my feet. That summer in California was the best experience I’ve had and I wish I handled things differently towards the end. I wish I took another jump even further outside my comfort zone and made an effort to stay there. I grew as a person that summer because I took the risk to do so. The warm weather today brings me back to California, if only my feet would.
It’s okay to live a life others don’t understand.
