Well, I’m back. No hard feelings if you didn’t notice I was gone. I have to say I missed New York - two weeks is too long away from home. The retreat was amazing. I got lots of writing done, and I’m ready to put myself back out there.

This is our last two months of classes and some have taken upon themselves to make it memorable. Teacher’s and students alike are subjected to bad jokes and pranks on the daily. We’ve already been through glue on chairs, cups everywhere in the room, being water ballooned – I’ve heard a bulk pack of washing soap will be thrown in the fountain at the entrance of the building and they plan on doing a flash mob rave in the library. So far, I have not been targetted, and I hope I don’t. I’m glad that everyone is enjoying the school year coming to an end.
That must be exciting. bet you can’t wait for that then. Are you going to do anything in that break? Travel maybe?

It’s the perfect temp outside to lay on a blanket, on the beach, with a loved one, cuddled up, and looking up at the stars. It’s not super hot, nothing is on fire, and yet, it’s not super cold either. Then again, I should be thankful we’re above 50, considering it’s bloody snowing out east. Poor Chicago.
I, however, am not laying on a blanket on a peach; I am wine drunk, in my apartment, and chowing down on a rather large pizza. It’s been a very nice lazy Sunday. Or, well, lazy weekend.
How is everyone else doing? Enjoying the Spring so far?
This is why my new house is great, considering now I can just go outside in the sun and do a bbq and stuff because I have a mini kind of balcony.
Wine drunk is always the best so I totally get it .
I am doing great, how about you?

It really does but the trip is almost always worth it. Ireland was amazing, it was good to be home for a while and get to spend time with my parents.
Oh the trips are always worth it. I am glad you had a good time and you got to see your parents.

Honestly, working from home was the best decision I ever made and I never look back and regret it.
I am a youtuber and author. I do get to travel for like promo of my books some times but most of it is me sitting in my office at my house filing and editing and coming up with cool ideas.

There’s nothing like seeing your father for the first time in months , and what starts off being a pleasant if overly polite conversation ends in him reminding you that you not for the first time that you are an embarrassment to the family name and it’s time to stop wasting your life , grow up, get out the house and get a real job , whatever he means by that.
Yeah that would be horrible, must be horrible to go through man, hope things are okay and hope you can move on from this and realise you’re not an embarrassment.

The VA needs to get its shit together. First, they bumped my appointment from yesterday to today and then they made me sit around like an idiot for almost two hours before they were ready for me. You’d think a place that deals with the military would be more punctual.
At least it’s the weekend…I guess.

I gave myself this one weekend to get some mild recovering rest from all the work I’ve been doing lately. But it’s all worth it when it’s something that you like doing.

Well recovering is something that people should do, I guess I get lucky that I don’t actually have to take recovery because I work from home but hope you had a relaxing weekend.

Just got back from my first trip to Los Angeles, and all I can say is I had a blast, other than working, and I’m glad to be back at my apartment.

Knowing that I have to watch Mufasa die in a live action movie is the only thing I am not looking forward to seeing when The Lion King movie comes out. It was bad enough when they re-release the original one in 3D and it was like he was dying in your lap. MUFASA WHY!
Oh a happier note, Baby Simba looks fucking adorable and I want him as my pet.
Oh that is a film my sister and I are dying to see badly, I really hope it is good even if it is going to be sad when Mufasa dies. I barely watch the original now because of the sadness in that part.

I am awake and I do not approve of it in the slightest. My body is still apparently in Ireland and my brain is somewhere over the ocean right now cos it certainly isn’t here.
Jet lag sucks, I have had those nights several times and it sucks but the travelling is worth it in the long run. How was ireland though?
