MY PREDICTIONS FOR THE END OF RWBY VOLUME 9
Jaune Dies (I still think he'll get some kind of big redemption for all his failings, saving someone from the brink of death or self-sacrificing himself, but his story feels complete to me and it takes away from our main heros)
Neo stays in the ever after (as tragic as it is neo seems to have the most fun she's ever had in the show now that she's in the everafter and I kind of want her to stay and find a new purpose amongst the afterins)
Ruby 2.0 (this one's really obvious given she drank the tea and the biggest leds we have is that it's a rebirth cycle. I more view this as a change in her outlook on how to beat salem switching to unifying instead of fighting. I also think this means a costume change. Further theory on this is I think she's going to get a white hood like her mother's as further symbolizing a purity style rebirth.)
Summers axe? is used but will not replace Crescent Rose (I just don't think they'll get rid of crescent Rose. It's too much of an iconic part of her character and personally I like the idea of her taking on her mom's cloak more than her mom's weapon)
Someone looses their memories most likely Ruby but I want it to be Yang (I think a back to what the cat said about the afterins when they ascend losing their memories "but the heart rarely forgets" considering Ruby is already ascended, it makes the most sense she would lose her memories, but I hate the idea of her losing all that character development. I like the idea of Yang losing her memories because this show does tragedy decently and that would be so tragic for her and Blake while also leaving room for her to forget Ruby killed herself in front of her so she's not being angsty about that for the rest of her life.)
I only made this so I can put all my thoughts in one place, but I'd love to hear what other people think.
