havent finished watching that video but it did make me consider carol's "turn that thing off, it saves batteries" scene more seriously. i feel like this scene is a parallel to that scene where noelle uses one of her 99 blaze potions.

by not using the santa, it will last longer, but also, you bought it to use it, didn't you? that's why you have it. in your preservation you have made it pointless.

noelle does the same with her blaze potions - never uses them, instead favoring some hypothetical future use of them, which will never occur because she refuses to use them. just like how, if you save the santa's batteries, it will theoretically be able to serve its purpose for longer, but it actually won't because you're not using it.

she initially does just as her mother would expect her to, until someone else encourages her to break free - but it backfires.

rudy encourages noelle to use the blaze potion on the ice dragon, and in turn, she is burned. susie encourages noelle to rebel against her icy mother, and in turn, she is burned.

carol is the ice dragon.

DELTARUNE THEORY SPOILERS UNDER CUT

So according to RALSEI (his name autocapitalizes ignore it), Titans are representative of the fear of the dark. In chapter two, maice are described as “knowing the fear they induce” and are consistently associated with fear, either through Noelle or that one bit with the walking car to get to queens basement. Maice are also darkners and therefore made of darkness, meaning that fear of them is fear of the dark. As maice are representative of fear of them, and they are dark, maice are, like titans, representative of the fear of the dark. This implies that Maice are titans in their own right and that Mauswheel is the mastermind behind the knights plans convincing them to cause the roaring so it’s kind will rule the world

So, I was analyzing the devil’s knife and Jevil’s tail and which one is better now that we have chapter 3 and 4 (it’s the devils knife. I may post my reasoning at some point), and I was also seeing some posts about how Susie was the main character of Deltarune, and I noticed something. The jevilstail shines best during the weird route because Susie doesn’t appear much and Kris needs a good armor way more. So, I thought about that and considered, what if the weird route is meant to show the player putting Kris in a position of even more importance and minimizing Susie’s role. In the chapter 2, the player through Kris sparks change in berdly (death) and Noelle (trance) instead of Susie (accidentally seducing both of them). In chapter 4, Susie doesn’t get any input in the holiday mansion cutscene even though outside of Kris’ soul shenanigans, her actions are most narratively important (finding the code, playing the guitar, seducing Noelle, fighting carol) in the normal route. Susie loses so much importance in the weird route and while I can’t understand what that’s saying it is something that seems very important to Deltarunes overall narrative.
