Here is a perfect little way to bring out your inner child. Remember when we would draw something, anything, and the story would just unfold in our heads and onto the paper. Scribbles became whales and blobs of paint became space ships.

Gwenyth Paltrow seems to be following me round a bit recently. I was happily minding my own business down Bond Street last week enjoying the complimentary glasses of champagne and cocktails Joseph and Ralph Lauren were giving me on the Vogue Fashion Night Out when suddenly I was thrust into a fast growing crowd which was building outside the new flagship Coach store. Handbags darling. My friend and I were quite taken in by the increasing furore surrounding us and felt it only polite to stay and see who the paps and a few well orchestrated uber-fans were waiting for. My friend and I have a rather fortunate advantage at times like these when sardined in a crowd of being about a foot taller than the average bod. Cameras at the ready, we watched first as fame hungry wannabes hoped for a glimmer of attention, the paps obliged- probably just warming up their bulbs. Still in the dark as to who was to grace us with their much awaited presence, one of said uber-fans was clutching a photo. Neatly printed with pen poised for an autograph. When we peered over to take a sneak peak, the man, who had obviously spent his entire life eating too much of mum's cooking, held it up in disgust that we did not know and were merely tourists to the unfolding event. It was hers truely. Not long after, flash bulbs were popping, people were calling out and in the blink of an eye she was gone. All that waiting for not much action. No speech, no wave. But, thankfully, U-F (my abbreviation for mummy's boy) got his desired signature.
All this rather long windedly leads to my post. Being a fan of interesting and interested, our office regularly partakes in sending emails round with the usual cool/viral/outlandish content we stumble upon on the big old www. This rather unwelcomely but fascinatingly fell into my inbox. To promote the launch of Gwennie's new film Contagion, Warner Brothers went to extreme and quite revolting measures to 'spread' the word. They covered a billboard in bacteria that over a week grew to reveal the name of the film. So sit back and watch it grow...
This is a pretty bad shot of it, using my poor quality phone cam, but to the untrained eye the car antenna has been beautifully bent into a heart shape- supporting my theory that there are hearts in all forms everywhere you look. This one in particular has been following me around for a while... I say following me... it appears in the same place each time! Cambridge Circus, outside Cafe No.1 on Earlham Street to be exact. All week its been piss poor weather but today, to my delight, not only was the sun out, this whimsical antenna was back to warm my own heart. And now I share with you. So, go forth and search for your own heart. They're out there <3
I've found this piece of music compiled by Andy Votel, the electro DJ and record label owner, on DaddyBeGood.com for kids but using songs which are a bit more intelligent and engaging than just whacking on a tape about the alphabet. Some of the songs sampled are instrumental and others in foreign languages so you’ll have the little ones speaking Spanish before the week is out! There are also be a few known favs in there from kids TV to add to the mix.

For the past 2 years, I have noticed hearts around every city I visit. Be this graffiti, stickers, natural forms, whatever- the closer I looked the more I saw, until I didn't have to look anymore, they would find me. Little symbols of affection following me around. Everytime I have seen them I've wanted to take a photo and build a collection but each and everytime I have either been too busy, didn't have a camera on me or in a crowd. Each tiny vessel going unremembered.
This post is not only to tell the world to look for the little things around us but to remind me and encourage me to capture and share everytime I spot one.
I'll start with this one as my inspiration- not my own handy work but one to spark me on.
We love this bit of quick thinking - don't get me wrong, the riots were HORRIBLE, but there were some clever and witty bits of content created from it.
What's that saying, "if you didn't laugh you'd cry". Right on.
