Hi!

So, I've been reading the Wheel of Time books for a few months now. I read the first three on my own, with my brother waiting for me to catch up to him for book four. We then read Shadow Rising together.

He's taking a break for a bit now, but I wanted to keep going. I just have trouble keeping my thoughts to myself. So I'm going to post every thought I have here. Feel free to suffer with me, haha.

I'll be careful to tag for spoilers. I'll be using "#WOT book spoilers" for anything that hasn't yet been covered in the show. "#WOT spoilers" for stuff that is vague spoilery as well. I'll also be tagging more specific as I get further. (So, "#WOT book 5 spoilers" to start, for those who haven't gotten that far.)

Like I said, this is going to be an all over the place mess. But I hope someone besides me gets something out of it! Haha.

I cried over Fedwin Morr.

For whatever reason, this was one of the most powerful scenes in this series for me thus far.

Basically, he was a young Asha'man that appeared a little bit in books 7 and 8. One of the ones that's just kind of always around.

Towards the end of Path of Daggers, the palace if Carhien is attacked. Rand runs off, and in a moment of trust, asks Fedwin Morr to protect Min with his life.

After the battle is done, Rand goes to find Fedwin and Min in the basement of the palace. Fedwin had succumbed to the madness, and had the mind of a literal child. Min distracts him with some toys.

Taim comes down after the battle as well.

Rand gives Fedwin some poisoned wine to put him to sleep. That's where the quote "the smile never left his lips" came in.

Taim then comments that Rand is tougher than he had thought.

Morr's character honestly isn't all that major. There was just something about the set up of this scene, and everyone's place in it that got to me.

The Aiel have really intense gay marriage ceremonies.
