Illnesses: Bipolar I disorder, asthma, IBS, anxiety, hidradenitis suppurativa, chronic headaches and migraines, and homozygous MTHFR C677T gene mutation.

I’m looking for friends around my age who get what it’s like to be young and sick with primarily “invisible” illnesses. Because I’m sick of being told I’m too young to be so tired or so sick sometimes and almost nobody around me really knowing what it’s like for that to be my reality. I work full time and I’m in school full time for my BSN. Also, I’m a lesbian so if that’s a problem, don’t bother with me.

I have gastroparesis, Barrett’s Esophagus, chronic migraines, and sciatica. I also have bipolar 2, GAD, panic disorder, insomnia, and some OCD stuff (mostly misophonia and dermatilomania). I have an undiagnosed learning disability and auditory processing disorder.

I like to sing, but anxiety prevents me from exploring or expressing that more. I say that I write poetry but tbh I haven’t in a long time. I love animals, especially my cat, and I’m hopefully getting a new baby kitten soon. I identify as either bisexual or queer.

Even though I’ll be 24 in February, this next semester is only just now my last semester of community college. Next fall I transfer over to a CSU where I can finally pursue my passion of teaching special education. I’m lucky enough to work in that field already. I’m passionate about feminism and LGBT+ rights and social justice in general.

I take a lot of medications and I use cannabis medicinally and recreationally. I’ve struggled with addiction to pills in the past. I struggle with a few addictions tbh. I’m going to therapy and it’s helping a lot but I’m still learning how to cope with everything that happens in my head.

I have a lot of empathy and patience, and I’m pretty self aware. I value my friends a lot but I have a hard time making friends, but the friends I do have, I’ve had for a long time. I’m picky about who I associate with and I have a hard time bonding with people who don’t understand mental illness. I don’t like casual, superficial relationships. So I’m kinda trying to branch out to people who might understand me a little better.

What I’m looking for: Mostly support, I’m really struggling in life right now and I’m sure everyone here knows that stress doesn’t help. I have braces for my ankles, knees, and back. Hello all

Well to start it off, I’m Robert age 46, got diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondyltis. At least I think it’s how it’s spelled. When I first got diagnosed, I was told I should have been diagnosed at least 10 years before. He also told me that I had fusion in my lower back along with at the bottom of my neck. So here we are about 5 years later, and I find myself in the hospital for a heart attack and stroke. And I think it was because I got jumped, because I don’t remember anything from that day, and I also had partial memory loss.

I live in Massachusetts, I don’t have a working phone, but I do have Gmail, Facebook, here and Twitter. I’m just looking for someone local who would understand what I’m going through, possible friendship. Just let me know if there is anybody interested.

Illnesses I have: Hypothyroidism, idiopathic gastroparesis, GERD, endmometriosis (just had a hysterectomy a few days ago, actually), anxiety, IBS-C, fibromyalgia, and mixed connective tissue disease… And that’s just what we know for sure haha!
