Sometimes being a therian is "I'm a lil kitty haha :3" and sometimes it's "My bones are wrong. My muscles wrap around them the wrong way. My eyes can't see in the dark the way they should. My hind legs are too long. My fur is gone. My fangs have been stolen from me. My joints ache when I place them the way they should be. I curse whatever deity or being has placed me in this form." And then it's like "haha I'm a deer UwU."

They’re another bitter loser on a throwaway who’s here to waste their time trying to to hurt you. Don’t let them. Block them before they get to you and spread this so people know.

I know several people who have been targeted by them and I understand how much it can hurt to get rude comments, but remember, the most mature thing you can do when it comes to trolls and bullies is refuse to engage, block and move on with your life. By doing that, you win and they lose :)

I have been asked if I’m homeless when I go out in my fey gear more than I’d like to admit. What part of seeing a woman in a flower crown with pointy ears, a long billowing floral dress and cloak carrying a vine covered staff makes everyone in my town immediately think “homeless”

it happened again today while I was in the wooded area of my neighborhood. deadass I was prancing around picking flowers to weave daisy chains and this woman, from the street like 100 paces away, kept yelling stuff like “ARE YOU HOMELESS. DO YOU NEED ME TO CALL SOMEBODY. ILL CALL SOMEBODY” while I awkwardly shouted “no I’m fine” back over and over again while trying to get away without running and looking suspicious. It was so nervewracking. please. just let me be whimsical in peace

garden update!

So I’ve officially started my garden by getting a few plants from my local garden center. We have a strawberry plant named strawbert, a basil plant named basilton, some pansies whom I have not named and purple and pink petunias named Spencer’s and Claire’s respectively.

Strawbert is absolutely thriving. Basilton, who I have decided is strawbert’s friend, was very lush and gorgeous when I bought them but has since started getting rather droopy…I’m trying to figure out what I’m doing wrong. rest assured I will nurse basilton back to being thick and fabulous

I’m also in the process of trying to germinate some blueberry seeds. wish me luck.

shoutout to alterhumans who want to roll in grass and play in dirt and leaves but also have sensory issues and feeling the grass/dirt/leaves on you especially sticking to your skin or clothes will make you cry. I get it. I get you 🤝

The most upsetting thing is that my spiritual beliefs focus around mother nature and being in nature so much, and i have multiple kintypes and theriotypes that i feel more connected to in nature.

BUT THE TEXTURES. I cant walk through the bush because things are touching me and i will cry and have a meltdown.

I cant lay in the grass because its itchy and tickly and upsetting, i cant sit in the sun because it overheats me and makes me feel sick and the sunlight hurts my eyes. I cant enjoy nature the way im meant to and its so upsetting.

ohhh my gosh there’s a very high chance of snow! I live in a super duper deep south town so we NEVER get snow I’ve only seen it in person once in my life. I reeaaaally hope it does I’m so excited

therian tips! (food)

so, I CRAVE raw meat a lot even though I can't eat it :( BUT I have compiled a list of foods that beings with human bodies can't eat (or just prefer not to), but that most animals eat that I could translate to human foods :D

worms = gummy worms :3 if you want them to be slimy like real worms, you could put water or a thin layer of oil on them

little insects = raisins

bigger insects = you could prob eat plain chips, I think it would have the same crunch affect. or chippers! (chocolate covered potato chips)

carrion (dead animal flesh) = jerky

raw meat = meat sticks (I believe you can get them in beef or turkey) or raw pepperoni (you can get it small bags). suggested by @avocados019, salami :3

mice = marshmallow mice (credits to @ink-man-sam )

kibble = cereal (I think most of you know that though)

treats = Scooby snacks!

Snacks:

Go-gurt (if you freeze them, they're really good!)

nut bars, such as Nutri grain or Kind (good protein/energy + tasty)

Chex mix

assorted nuts/trail mix

smoothies!

(i may be updating this a lot so keep in mind)

I HAVE AN ADDITION!!! for my domestic cat friends I’ve found canned shredded tuna and chicken salad is the best at replicating wet cat food! can be good for wild cats too

also those smoked salmon slices. somewhat reminiscent of raw meat. mmmmm
