I wanna go absolutely feral fae mode. I'm talkin running up trees in torn clothing with my fangs bared. I wanna be both the protector of this land and the thing that is rumored to hunt the wicked in these woods.
hey!
are you a changeling? fae kin? otherkin-fairy-adjacent? etc.?
I have some questions for you
I know what you are is probably the most common question tossed around, but I'd actually like to know why. specifically, why do you think you're here?
historically speaking, exchanges were usually made using the sickly and unwanted. that or a glamoured hunk of wood, right?
and if you don't believe yourself swapped in the traditional way, do you think it was closer to a sort of reincarnation? because that only raises more questions. especially if you believe yourself to have been one of the Aos Sídhe, a king, queen, noble, knight or other member of the high courts
the Good Neighbors are said to be nigh immortal, so even a single one dying is a rarity. and if reincarnation is indeed the case... would not placement in the human world be considered an outright punishment?
perhaps these answers already exist somewhere on this hellsite, but I'm only just now discovering a few tags and some communities on here that are totally new to me so
even if I'm simply out of the loop, I'm quite interested to hear your take
I wish people would stop perpetuating that fae have to look exactly perfectly beautiful by human standards. Fae have always been described as looking majorly strange, sickly, inhuman and sometimes even described as horrifying! Fae don't base their form on what humans find pleasing unless they want to. ((((Edit: let me add also that even the "beautiful" fae's main favorite foods are typically creams, honey, fruits and sometimes cheeses so even the 'beautiful ones' wouldn't all be the slender borderline anorexic body types that most of modern media insists is how ALL elves and fae look)))
i thought i was crow kin for ages because after watching the live action maleficent i got phantom wings for DAYS
uh... yeah no i was feykin i just didn't know what fictionkin or otherkin was at the time 😭

Guys wait stop walking I saw something shiny on the ground. Ooh a nickel! Guys? Guys where'd you go
Unseelie Fey kin culture is being feral, ancient, chaos, darkness, and mischief.... in a little body that gets drunk on sugar.

Faekin culture is seeing one of those god awful dark fae romance books recommended to you, and you say to the world "we are not like that, the fuck?"
