(Gotham rp blog ran by Coolcat101s, this is an au version of Artem where instead of being found and pseudo adopted by calendar man leading to the eventual large family and happy love life, they are instead found by Mike. She truly didn’t think that the plan would work this well but apparently there was more drama and unresolved feelings than even she knew about. But all the better for her, this should keep the congregation distracted long enough for Anna to properly get rid of the body.

Time to make her escape but as she turns to leave her eyes meet Mikes and he looks positively devastated. ‘I only sing songs I relate to after all’ Her previous words echo in both of their minds. It hurts but it’s the truth and she doesn’t have the time to explain the nuances of why she relates to the song to the man that she’s planning on leaving tonight anyways, but his gaze still holds her in place

Mike was of course a massive worry wart the moment she was home- not that she blames him as she was missing for a month after all- and it took a while before she was able to go out without him hovering around for her safety.

But eventually she gets that moment to visit Anna and the kids, she even managed to convince Mike to take Carl out so she could get some proper girl time with her best friend. Which is perfect as it wouldnt do well for either of their husbands to hear their escape plans

They are heavily scarred, but in a jacket and sweats that look like they were torn off the back of a couch. The jacket is half-zipped.

Bee holds up a hand, giving a half-wave while staring at her. Yeah, this was definitely on par with the JJ Tim timeline-

They held out their hand before glancing down and deciding against it. If this version of Artem (Sophia, they had to remember that) had similar powers, that would be a horrible idea.

She was careful not to phase it in such a way that the words could be used against her later, she doesn’t know as much as her counterpart apparently knows about the fae but she knows she has to be careful with words while fae are about

This was vaguely uncomfortable for them, but they had already dug themself this deep. Might as well wait until rock bottom.

“So, you got lost in the multiverse and are stuck here now. Good news: I can help. Neutral news: I need to know more about your world before I can figure out where to go.”

She was acting so much different from Artem, they noticed. Definitely made it easier to tell them apart, at least. They’d been around the multiverse enough times that appearance meant very little to them, if anything.

Sophia on the other hand has all the old money teachings with the confidence of being the most powerful woman within her congregation. Bee blinks, pausing for a moment before awkwardly curtsying back.

“Pleasure to meet you, too?”

This was vaguely uncomfortable for them, but they had already dug themself this deep. Might as well wait until rock bottom.

“So, you got lost in the multiverse and are stuck here now. Good news: I can help. Neutral news: I need to know more about your world before I can figure out where to go.”

She was acting so much different from Artem, they noticed. Definitely made it easier to tell them apart, at least. They’d been around the multiverse enough times that appearance meant very little to them, if anything.

She moves with an elegance that Artem only ever employs for big events. Sophia on the other hand has all the old money teachings with the confidence of being the most powerful woman within her congregation. Which is to that that that power is hidden under layers of purposeful softness and a saccharine voice. The softness actually acts as a good cover for her voice since she only really speaks with full force next to her husband in front of the church.

“I’ll admit I’m not the most knowledgeable of current events…. Was always too busy doing something with the congregation since I organized the events, but I’ll do my best”

Bee nods again, feeling more and more uncomfortable with every movement Sophia made.

It wasn’t that they hated Sophia- they didn’t know her enough to say- but she was just… not what they were used to? Probably. Multiverse was weird and all that.

“That’s fine! I just need some major events to go by, and probably a few personal ones. Process of elimination is easier that way.”

Sophia begins explaining the major events of her world, and the events are essentially identical to the major events of this world- with the exception being that the anti meta movement in Gotham has more funding via her husbands use of the marriage assets, and a mysterious villain that doesn’t exist in this world but there apparently very large, grotesque, and oddly bug like.

A ripple appears in the middle of her room, soon forming into arms, legs, a torso, and finally a head.

They are heavily scarred, but in a jacket and sweats that look like they were torn off the back of a couch. The jacket is half-zipped.

Bee holds up a hand, giving a half-wave while staring at her. Yeah, this was definitely on par with the JJ Tim timeline-

“Hi, yeah. I’m Bee- uh… Sophia, right?”

They held out their hand before glancing down and deciding against it. If this version of Artem (Sophia, they had to remember that) had similar powers, that would be a horrible idea.

“Yes, Sophia Kear” she curtsied “pleasure to make your acquaintance Bee”

She was careful not to phase it in such a way that the words could be used against her later, she doesn’t know as much as her counterpart apparently knows about the fae but she knows she has to be careful with words while fae are about

Her voice is muffled as she holds a pillow close, but even still her voice sounds very…. Watery as if she’s been sobbing for hours

She says nothing but the door is opened, just a crack.

The lights are off, Sophia has one of the fuzzy blankets draped over her head and shoulders, and shes clutching her pillow like her life depends on it. Her eyes are puffy and bloodshot, but her attention remains on the ground

Sophia smooshes her face into the pillow, frustrated with the direction of this conversation. This was supposed to be her… husband..? Spouse…? It was hard to tell… either way this was her person in this world apparently and it was disappointing the other can’t remember something as basic as her name… even Mike remembered that.

“I just want to go home…. Even if I’d still be too late …”
