Wandering || Emmet and Touya ||
“It really has been too long. Two years? The battle subway hasn’t changed a bit from the last time I was here. But I don’t think I’ll fight today just yet. I finally got back to Unova after all.” Touya looked over to Emmet’s Garvantula with a smile and waved at it. He looked up at Emmet once more as he anticipated the conversation to start from Emmet. Ingo was the other twin that he could understand a bit, being the more quiet pair compared to the fiery Touko but Emmet was enjoyable to talk to as well.
“I’ve been all over the world in my journey and you seem to be doing well too… Where’s Ingo by the way? It’s not like him to not be around here without you.” They were like salt and pepper, they went hand and hand with each other so it was odd to Touya to not see the other twin around.
"Take your time friend, there is no need to rush!" Sometimes Ingo would have to hold Emmet back,to make sure he did not cause a ruckus for the new battlers. Heck,he even scared a few on multiple occasions.
Hearing Touya's questions,Emmet pressed a finger to his cheek, thinking long and hard for a good twenty seconds. He seemed to be straining himself. "Brother had to take care of some business! He told me not to leave the Battle Subway until he returned. I don't like going to meetings and stuff anyways, they're boring!" He sounded so childish at the moment, but he really despised the work that came along with this job. Paperwork piled up on a daily basis. It made his brain hurt.
Subway Maestros
Seeing the tears that had began pool up within his eyes and trail down his cheeks, the elder twin cringes at the sight of his sibling in tears and sighs at himself. So much for trying to make Emmet stay— …Wait. What? He… “…Emmet…” Ingo was honestly speechless as to how Emmet really felt, feeling guilty that he hadn’t been able to tell that he felt as such even though he was his brother… “I… missed those times too. But ever since… ever since Mom and—” He pauses, a pained expression donned on his features for a moment. It was hard for him of speak of such a subject, but now wasn’t a time to put up his usual wall against his brother. “…Mom and Dad… I’ve tried not to say anything regarding them. I’m sorry.”
“Honestly, I think that speaking with you, of all people about it would do good for me, but I thought I would be being a bother by doing as such… though, I think it has been hurting you more, with me not telling you about how I actually feel.” As much as he was being rather monotonous while saying this, his lower lip was quivering and he had to try hard not to cry as well. “…Emmet, no. You’re a great brother. A brother that I love very much in fact. Please don’t say that… I would never have asked for a better brother…” This was so screwed up. Instead of allowing Emmet to now be aware of his sadness, he had been causing the younger sibling grief instead…
“…It’s fine. Really.” he spoke once more after taking a deep breath, smiling back at Emmet weakly. “I’m sorry. For all those times that I’ve left you in the dark. For all those times.. where you had to see me weak, and helpless. And for not assuring you that you’re doing everything in your power to help me. And well… as for that, I’m just happy to see you, smiling, dear brother. It amazes me how you can smile through almost anything and it also makes me happy that you’re strong enough to do so. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again; I’m glad to have you as a brother.”
Tackling his brother as tears continued to streak down his face,Emmet clung to Ingo, not releasing him from the vicegrip he had him in. The look on the eldest's face was that of worry for his brother, and it comforted Emmet that even after all this time, the bond they shared was inseparable, and even during a time like this,Emmet found it hard to stay calm.
"Sorry,I'm sorry. I love you a lot....." He would constantly tell Ingo how much he loved him,and it was really very comforting to hear him say he felt the same way. People always thought Emmet was childish, had no common sense, and basically disobeyed the more responsible and proper older sibling. No,Ingo would pound someone's face in if they really said something like that to his face.
At the moment, everyone felt terrible. Emmet felt bad for not helping more. Ingo felt bad for not letting Emmet know what his troubles were, and everything was a mess.
Wandering || Emmet and Touya ||
The sound of loud, drawn out sighing was heard from one of the many stairways in the Battle Subway, having come from the youngest of the Subway twins,Emmet.
Ingo was out handling business at the moment, and didn’t think Emmet would be all that pleased to go to a meeting. So,being the kind older sibling he was,he allowed Emmet to stay back and take control of the building in his absence. No one seemed to be coming in to battle today, seeing as only one of the two was available for battling.
“Ingooooooooo hurry uuuuuppppp. I’m boooooooooored!” Whining wasn’t going to do anything, but he didn’t care. He sprawled out onto one of the benches overlooking the platform to board the double battle train. His fluffy companion,Garvantula, sat near him.poking Emmet in the head. He didn’t like seeing his master make a fool of himself,so he just tried to pull him out of his slump. He was required to stay back until Ingo’s return,so going home was a no go until then. “Garvantula, stoooooop.” Garvantula lowered his leg, shaking his head. Picking his head up at the sight of someone not too far off from his location,Emmet smiled and sat up.
“Hello there!”
It been a while since he came back to the battle subway, and the sight of it made him chuckle at the memories. He and Touko took on the challenge years back when their pokemon journey was starting… He grinned a bit as he fixed his casual clothes a bit to look a bit more presentable. For now Touya could just wander around here then head to the amusement park later to spend time there. Maybe if he was lucky he’d see N at the Ferris wheel… Na. Touya took out his pokeball with Aka in it. Maybe if he saw one of the subway masters, he could have his pokemon play with his, maybe.
“Hello there!”
A voice called out to him. And he knew too well of the voice to actually forget about it only to turn around with a wide grin.
“Emmet!”
"Touya my friend! It has been too long, has it not? What an honor it is to have you here at the Battle Subway!" Years had passed since their last encounter, and Emmet decided to make the most of this once in a while meeting. Hopping off of the bench with Garvantula in tow,Emmet walked over to Touya and grinned.
"You seem to be doing wonderful as usual! Tell me,how has your endless journey been going?" Making conversation was usually Ingo's job, since he seemed to be able to give more to one then his younger brother. But then again,Ingo only answered questions and didn't care to have useless conversations when it was not wanted. Being on the job meant not letting anything distract you,but for Emmet, that was quite difficult since everything usually distracted him.
▼ Bullet Breezeway || Emmet and Bill ||
Rocking back and forth on his heels,Emmet whistled a happy little tune as another train stopped in front of him, filled to the brim with people. The sliding doors opened, and people poured out in a hurry as they made their way to different locations. A few said hello to Emmet, and he smiled and greeted them in return.
Occasionally the youngest of the Subway twins took a journey to the actual subway located in the building, since battling was not all they were skilled at. Ingo would usually speak to the men in charge of security in the place, while his brother would hang around the platform and do whatever it was he did best.
Noticing another train speed by and stop once more, another group of people, fewer then the last group, stepped out. In the midst of them, was a male who looked to be lost, and it was Emmet's job to help people who had no idea what to do next. "Greetings to you sir! You look to be lost. Is there any way I can be of assistance?" Naturally Emmet sounded peppy to help others, unlike Ingo, who he figured wasn't exactly in the mood most of the time.

Subway Maestros
Staring blankly at his elder twin with a smile still plastered onto his face,Emmet shook his head ‘no’ in response to Ingo’s words. Liar. Knowing all too well that Ingo would never come to him for such a thing. Emmet knew it was bad for his brother, who wanted nothing more than to shield his younger twin from such a thing, and the internal struggles he was dealing with. But you need to realize that I am an adult and experiencing them will help me to help you. There was many things Emmet would not say aloud,as to hurt his brother’s feelings after all he’d done for the both of them, but he felt Ingo needed to hear it soon enough. Now was not the time, though.
“Brother, why do you insist on keeping such feelings inside you for so long? It is not healthy and our parents w-” Emmet froze, not daring to speak another word to his already damaged sibling. He felt bad now,but his smile showed nothing but happiness on his face. Such a bad time to bring up the death of their beloved mother and father, who wanted nothing more than the best for the two of them.
…It was really creepy how Emmet could remain smiling no matter what the situation at times, especially when he was trying to be serious, here he was, still with a smile on his face. Though he was aware that there were times where Emmet was only smiling on the surface, and in actuality, not all that happy at all in the inside. They were twins after all, and each other knew when one was upset, or was truly happy. Only the both of them were able to see through each other’s facades… He probably should’ve thought that through before trying to hide things from his younger twin in the first place. Not like he wasn’t already aware that Emmet could see through him the most… he probably acted irrationally since he hadn’t thought it through. Basic Ingo style—he overreacts when caught off guard. Still, Emmet had shook his head… he probably didn’t accept that. Knowing him, Ingo would probably never go to Emmet for consultation, and that was actually a true fact. Though that little white lie made him feel guilty, and he was vaguely regretting his decision of saying such things.
Though… in reality, he would be happy if he had someone to talk to about the problems that he faced. Someone to talk to, during the times that he was about to break… that would be nice. Emmet wasn’t exactly the top of the list, but it would be nice if he wasn’t the only one to have to take the entire burden… but he was stubborn, and wasn’t going to let Emmet take any of it. He, Ingo, was the elder sibling between the two. It was his responsibility to take care of Emmet, to not let any harm befall him or put him through any sort of sorrow. He might be overprotecting Emmet in a sense… but after seeing him in that much sorrow after witnessing their parents’ death, he couldn’t help but to want to protect the younger twin.
“Hmm…” Humming under his breath his frown remained on his lips and he looks up at Emmet, a pained expression donned on his face. The mention of their parents never did any good to Ingo, and his hands were already beginning to shake… Mother… father…— No, Ingo. Snap out of it, now’s not the time to show any Arceus damned weaknesses. His hands clenched into lethal fists, which after a moment relaxes and he exhales sharply. Bringing his gaze up, Ingo sighs under his breath and gives Emmet a sad smile. “I’m well aware of that, Emmet. Do not doubt that for a single moment.” Smiling faintly, he pets his younger sibling on the head gently and sighs again. “I’ve worried you, haven’t I? I’m sorry. But don’t fret brother, I’ll be fine.” Truly, he would be fine in the long-run, but even so, it was taking its toll on him, and he was on the verge of shattering.
Tears began to form on the younger twins face, dripping slowly down his cheeks as he continued to smile at his brother,a bit heartbroken that he would not even go to his own twin for condolences. "Ingo...big brother,I do not think so. You are sad. You are unhappy. I miss those times when you and I would have heartfelt conversations, and be able to console each other when in pain." Such conversations were not at all normal for either of them, but getting through difficult times together wouldn't be hard,if only Ingo would let that wall he put up down to Emmet.
Pressing his shaking hands to his cheeks,Emmet's body shook a bit,as he was having a difficult time calming himself down. He never got upset like this, and he figured it was only a matter of time before Ingo too, began to cry. "I-I...I am sorry for not being a good brother to you. Not paying you back for all the times you've had to deal with me....you deserve something for all the good you've done." Now,it wasn't even about their mother and father, but the relationship the brother's shared. It pained Emmet, and yet he still, after all this time, kept a smile on his face. To him, that smile basically helped him stay in one piece.

Bringing his attention back to Emmet as he spoke, Ingo raises a single brow at the mention of the cafe, which brought back both good and bad memories. His lips pull into a thin line and he looks away for a moment, before managing a slight smile. “Sounds good.” he nods in agreement and brings his gaze over to the bustling city, with so many people wandering about the streets of Nimbasa City and onwards to its many available attractions. Of course, while contemplating this, Ingo was well aware that Emmet knew of what he was thinking… they were twins after all, which made understanding each other all the more easier, which was a problem as well. Anything that Ingo didn’t want Emmet to know was easily unveiled and even though it wasn’t much of a trouble, he still wished that there were some things that he could keep from Emmet. If anything in particular, his troubled mind as of now. Or maybe he was lucky enough to be able to conceal it from his twin this—
Actually, no. He’d been caught. Smart move, Ingo, smart move. Damn it, he should work on veiling his internal struggle and whatnot a lot better than he was right now. That was a pathetic attempt of even trying to shied it from Emmet. Was he even trying at all? And regarding what Emmet had said, yes, he needed someone to walk to, maybe let out some frustration as well… but he was never going to let Emmet be the receiver. Regardless, Emmet was his twin, and probably the only who would understand him the most… he still didn’t want the younger twin to go through what he was going through already.
“I’m fine, Emmet.” he says calmly, waving off his twin’s worries casually. Or at least, attempting to do as such. He had been so indulged in his thoughts that they had automatically drifted over to the topic of their late parents, which always made him troubled, and feel at unease. Most of the time he’d be left to his own devices to try and clear his mind by himself, but then again, most of the time wasn’t all the time. Every so often, he would find himself troubled while around his younger twin, which is exactly what he tried to avoid as much as possible. “There’s no need for that. I am fully capable of coping with it myself.” After the words leave his lips, the elder twin thinks for a brief moment, wondering whether Emmet might not be happy with how he kept hiding things from him… that was probably the case. “…If I do need help, I will not hesitate to find you. Shall that suffice?”
Staring blankly at his elder twin with a smile still plastered onto his face,Emmet shook his head 'no' in response to Ingo's words. He felt bad now,but his smile showed nothing but happiness on his face. Such a bad time to bring up the death of their beloved mother and father, who wanted nothing more than the best for the two of them.
Subway Maestros
That’s what you always say, brother.Of course Emmet would not say this out-loud. He felt that since having to take on the roles of not only a sibling, but parents as well,Ingo was fragile, even though he tried to hide it,he could not fool his twin. In fact, they had a telepathic connection, though cliche as it was, actually was true for them. If one was troubled, the other could tell without batting an eyelash.
“Yaaayyyy! Thank you big brother!” though Emmet said that,he felt a little hurt by Ingo’s constant comments about how troublesome he was or how childish he acted. Was it really that big of an issue? If it was, then why hasn’t anyone else spoken up about it? He wasn’t sure. Perhaps he was just teasing Emmet, like normal siblings did. Yes,that was it! Thinking about the subject no more,he lost the pout he held to get Ingo to break, and grabbed his brother’s hand, patting it affectionately with the childish grin on his face.
For some reason, Ingo could feel that sense of impending doom, as if his twin was well aware of the internal struggle he had and everything, but dismissed it as something of insignificance for the moment. What mattered most right now was that Emmet was safe, and with that he was already glad. Even so, there were times that he felt as if Emmet was aware of how he kept his emotions hidden, but was still unsure of the reason why. The main point of him having the burden of it all and whatnot, was to not let his younger twin feel sadness or any anxiety… though it was inevitable that they were twins after all, which made hiding things all the more difficult. As difficult as it was, he was determined to take most of the burden under his wing, and try and shield Emmet from all of it.. but how long would it take for him to break?
It was only a matter of time, before that calm disposition of his were to crumble, and he would be left in an emotional wreck. What were to happen to Emmet if he saw Ingo like that? Even he didn’t wish to think about such things.
Shaking off that uneasy feeling, he brings his attention back to his twin and a small smile tugs at his lips, rolling his eyes in slight irritation at how he had thanked Ingo. Really, Emmet was such a cheerful person and all, he could hardly see him being all depressed over something… okay, maybe back when they were small, Emmet was the one that cried the most, but still. Seeing how he was today, there was no way that Ingo was ever going to push over the responsibilities he had attained ever since their parents’ death, and that was his final decision. Huffling lightly, he places a hand on Emmet’s head and pats it. “Relax, I was just teasing.” he says with his usual stoic expression back in place. Allowing his hand to drop down to his side, he sighs a bit and blinks back at the other when Emmet takes hold of his hand and starts patting it. “…Well. Since we are already out here, what say you we do something else for today? I’ve already closed up the Battle Subway while trying to find you, and there’s not many trainers today, for some odd reason.”
"Weeeelll,I was thinking maybe we could go down to that little cafe we used to go to when we were children! And then we should go for a little walk!" Letting go of his twin's hand,Emmet smiled cheerfully at Ingo, taking a few steps back to indicate he was ready to leave this part of Nimbasa City. He knew somewhere in the back of his mind, that his brother was troubled but would never show it. And it seemed that after the death of their parents,Ingo was the one who took the loss worse then his twin. Emmet never wanted to see him break into a sobbing mess, but if it meant getting closure on such a touchy subject,he was willing to help Ingo through it.
"You know brother, you can tell me anything. I know that look in your eyes, and it's telling me you need someone to talk to." Emmet always paid attention to how Ingo acted, even if it was nothing out of the ordinary in the eyes of other people. Most couldn't see a difference in the twins, mainly because they never paid attention or saw any sort of emotions other then the ones they kept constantly on their faces.
Subway Maestros
Emmet didn’t really pay attention to his brother when he said that. I know that under that hard, standoffish exterior,he’s a big old softie!Assuming Ingo was happy to see him,he never let go of him and laughed a little, shaking his head. “No,I was just walking around. I must’ve lost track of time! I apologize for that. And what do you mean trouble? I’m not a troublemaker!” Emmet finally letting go,crossed his arms and poked his twin in the forehead, puffing out his cheeks in a childish way.
It was always the same thing with Ingo; sighing, telling him not to misbehave and basically being his babysitter. It was comforting to Emmet knowing that his brother was looking out for him,but the assumption that he was always getting into trouble was a bit absurd. Oh well,I’m sure he just needs to find something to complain about. The white-clad male hadn’t a clue what he just told himself,so instead he continued with his pout. It always made Ingo give in.
Of course, Emmet wasn’t paying attention to what he was saying. Then again, did the younger ever pay attention in the first place? No. It was like he had some kind of hyperactive syndrome that didn’t allow him to focus at one thing at a time. Aggravating, yet amusing, to say the least. Sure, he was happy to be able to see his brother, although they did see each other most of the time, and it wasn’t like they were in different regions or anything.. but still. Hearing Emmet’s explanation, a sigh escapes his lips and he places a hand on his forehead. It was just like him to lose track of time from walking around. Ingo, on the other hand, would never have been so careless to make such a mistake. “You should be more careful with managing your time. And you can be a troublemaker at times, let me assure you.” His head tilts back a little at the poke and he rubs his forehead gingerly, before being his gaze back over to Emmet. “Stop being such a child, Emmet.”
Ingo found it to be his responsibility to take care of Emmet in every way, what with them losing their parents at such a young age, and him taking the lead as elder brother… worrying over his younger twin became like second nature to him. His serious disposition, everything he did was just to not worry Emmet, even though he was already shattered inside, he tried to stay strong in the exterior for his brother’s sake. To him, he had to uphold the image of an elder brother, which lead to his distant and aloof nature when it came to others, unsure of how to act. And as for that assumption… he might’ve been overreacting a little, but remembering how he had left all of his Joltik running all over the Station made him think otherwise. And then again, there was the Pout.
The only thing that was probably capable of breaking his defenses was the pout that Emmet was giving him right now. “Don’t give me that look, brother. I will not change my view even if you were to do as—” Freezing mid sentence, the silverette coughs awkwardly and attempts to regain his composure. “It d-doesn’t make any of my opinion w-waver in the slightest—” Okay, it was obvious that he was just fighting a losing battle. Huffing again, the elder twin sighs in exasperation and waves his hand at Emmet. “Alright, alright; I take it back.”
That's what you always say, brother. Of course Emmet would not say this out-loud. He felt that since having to take on the roles of not only a sibling, but parents as well,Ingo was fragile, even though he tried to hide it,he could not fool his twin. Laughing, the silver-haired male waves his arms over his head, not really understanding what was happening but enjoying nonetheless. His shockingly blue eyes looking around and catching sight of his big brother, and with a smile, hopped on over to Ingo. He got to see the eldest each and everyday,so it was a mystery as to why he would be so happy to see him all the time. They basically dressed the same, except the colors and their personalities.
“Hello big brother! Why has your Haxorus been pushing me towards the Subway? I wasn’t aware we had more work to take care of!”
Wrapping his arms around his twin,Emmet pulled Ingo in for a tight hug. Emmet always showed his brother how much he cared, but not that it mattered since Ingo would always call him out on it. He knew that his sibling cared, but had a rather odd way of showing it.
Target captured. Haxorus allows a small huff of accomplishment to leave his throat before trotting over to his master’s side, looking up at the silverette donned in black quizzically. Placing a hand on top of his head, Ingo pets the dragon gently and nods in approval, before bringing his attention back to his other twin. Of course, he would always greet his elder brother with that huge, bright smile on his face, which even Ingo would never admit it, made him a little happy. It was odd though, how they were twins and they were so different personality-wise.”Good job, Haxorus.” Retrieving said dragon’s Pokeball, he withdraws the Pokemon back to its Pokeball and then inhales deeply, bringing his attention over to his younger brother.
“Emmet.” the name left his lips, which were as always, pulled into an emotionless expression. Raising an eyebrow, the Subway Master crosses his arms over his chest and presses his fingers on his forehead. To be completely honest, he was a little worried, since Emmet seemed to be taking a little longer than usually with his break. Knowing Emmet, he might’ve gotten himself into some sort of trouble or whatnot and he decided to go out of the Battle Subway for a while to search for him. That was in all actuality of course. But it wasn’t as if Ingo would ever give such a trivial excuse of doing such thing; even though it was the truth he wasn’t going to let Emmet know that. “There are several things that do not move on their own and—”
Being pulled into the hug abruptly, his facial expression gives away to a little bit of annoyance and Ingo sighs aloud at his brother’s actions. Affection came easily to him, unlike a certain someone who took things too seriously, and was about as awkward as a rock. Allowing the younger male to hug him for a while, he huffs unhappily and brings his azure gaze back to Emmet. “As I was saying… what— no, why were you taking so long? I was wo— afraid that you had gotten yourself into some sort of trouble again.”
Emmet didn't really pay attention to his brother when he said that. I know that under that hard, standoffish exterior,he's a big old softie! Assuming Ingo was happy to see him,he never let go of him and laughed a little, shaking his head. "No,I was just walking around. I must've lost track of time! I apologize for that. With a yawn,Emmet walked out of the Battle Subway and down the street, thinking about grabbing a bite to eat before it was time to return to work. He didn’t have time to go home, get comfy then leave 10 minutes later. He looked around, not sure of where he should go to pass the time. Off a little ways,he noticed someone standing near one of the benches. With his signature smile on his face,Emmet ran over to them and removed his hat, bowing like a gentleman should.
“Hello,I am Emmet! Might I inquire your name?” He was always one to make new friends, and even with people who didn’t really enjoy his clingy nature. His brother was one of those people. A few Joltik climbed out of his pocket and climbed up onto his shoulder. He moved his arm up and began to pet them affectionately. Boy,did he love his little friends.
Crimson eyes scanned the area, as if they were intending to search for something in the area. Hidden within the bushes, he takes a slow, stealthy, step through the grassy plains, careful not to make any noise as he trudges through the field. Not wanting to alert his target. Silently, he makes his way closer towards the target, slowly… closer… and closer… THUNK! Glancing behind, he looks at the culprit that caused such a noise— His tail. The Haxorus sighs under his breath and turns around, moving his tail out of the wedged place with a low rumble emerging from his throat. What was he doing here in the first place? Why would he, mighty dragon that was feared by all, be in the outside world for any reason at all?
“Haxorus, go find that brother of mine.”
His eyes light up once more and he whirls around, searching from his ‘target’ once more. Darn it, since his tail had gotten wedged into that tight spot, he couldn’t quite move, and lost sight of his master’s brother. Moving out from away the bushes and cover, the attempt to even try to stay quiet completely gone. Sighing under his breath, he trudges through the bushes and makes his way back to the station in a saddened state… until he heard of a voice. The dragon spins around and catches sight of… the aforementioned ‘target’. Tilting his head to a side, he moves over to Emmet’s side and goes behind him, before pushing him towards the Station, as if telling him something.
"Hello big brother! Why has your Haxorus been pushing me towards the Subway? I wasn't aware we had more work to take care of!"
Wrapping his arms around his twin,Emmet pulled Ingo in for a tight hug. Emmet always showed his brother how much he cared, but not that it mattered since Ingo would always call him out on it. He knew that his sibling cared, but had a rather odd way of showing it.

With a yawn,Emmet walked out of the Battle Subway and down the street, thinking about grabbing a bite to eat before it was time to return to work. He didn't have time to go home, get comfy then leave 10 minutes later. He looked around, not sure of where he should go to pass the time. Off a little ways,he noticed someone standing near one of the benches. With his signature smile on his face,Emmet ran over to them and removed his hat, bowing like a gentleman should.
"Hello,I am Emmet! Might I inquire your name?" He was always one to make new friends, and even with people who didn't really enjoy his clingy nature. His brother was one of those people. A few Joltik climbed out of his pocket and climbed up onto his shoulder. He moved his arm up and began to pet them affectionately. Boy,did he love his little friends.
