        “It’s rude to stare,” softly accented tones beckoned with a slightly self-deprecating edge. The cloaked stranger knew she was a sight to see, even during the Halloween season. An imposing Amazonian figure with sharp teeth and starlight in her skin– several had already begged her for photos on her way to the out-of-the-way occult bookstore. Not that it bothered her. Not anymore. She was glad that most modern people were curious rather than fearful. 

Golden-brown eyes flitted over to the stack in the girl’s hands before gesturing to the shelf beside her with a tilt of her head. “Protections against black magic? I recommend Yeshe’s collection. Her methods are quite effective.”  

there’s that tweak of guilt, that sharp pin-stab of jolting shame from being caught staring. she prides herself on her usually good manners. an easy temperament sits rooted at her core and mellow politeness seeps from her aura, but habits don’t render one free from the occasional social clumsiness.

                              ❝       i’m sorry,       ❞       is offered forth alongside a regretful upturn of pink lips. surely an occult bookstore should be the last place uncommon sights would take one by surprise --- uncommon is inherent to the spirit of the space isn’t it ? but she’s still a novice with these things and these spaces, exploring her own roots with caution. and any guidance she can get is warmly welcomed.
