Where you are going, you will have enormous power. Use it to protect those who cannot protect themselves. SUPERGIRL (2026) dir. Craig Gillespie

obviously the whole thing of luke beefing with teenagers at his big ol age of 19 onwards is objectively reprehensible but thats the boringest way to look at it isnt it. when i think about luke beefing with teenagers, i think about how the normal chb arrival age of demigods is 12 and from that age they're taught to kill monsters to survive because it is a kill or be killed world out there for them (this is different from the show's take on demigods as child soldiers being taught to hunger for glory btw; im making this distinction bc i hate that take). when i think about luke beefing with teenagers, i think about how he was on the run at 9 and was by himself for 3 years and immediately parentified himself for annabeth at 14 years old. when i think about luke beefing with teenagers, i think about how he was never able to move on from his failure in the golden apple quest so much that it's literally calcified him physically via the scar on his face; and as if that wasnt enough kronos also started grooming him because lets call it what it is. like yeah in that environment you can kind of see why him beefing with teenagers wasnt an immediate "hold on this may be a bit silly" in his brain. also more simply it's really fucking funny so

INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE (2022-) | S03E07

ASSAD ZAMAN as Armand
THE VAMPIRE LESTAT (2026) 3.07 — The Failures
Lestat being a comercial flop kinda ruins some of the potential for social media AUs based on TVL lowkey
I honestly can’t tell if this downplaying of DM was a choice by Rolin disliking them at this point :/ seriously how do you not show any of this despite including a love confession, but then again all ships this season got worse material…. I guess all I can do is hope they actually flashback s4 DM with s3 DM at least a little instead of exposition because right now they aren’t taken seriously as a dynamic at all (and we get to wait 2 more years uncertain awesome)
Certainly they left huge gaps for us to fill in which can be quite frustrating. I do get a vibe from interviews that it was on purpose and they expect to recontextualize and explain quite a bit from TVL next season, not just DM. But having so much left unexplored and not just DM makes me a bit nervous that they just won't have the time to do a proper job with many things. Making season 3 so heavy in set up and little playoffs kinda made it an unsatisfying as a season to me but it could be worth it once we get the full picture. I'd say let's not lose hope but also not get our expectations high in case the show doesn't meet them in the future
DM could be fine if season 4 adds a lot of context to what happened in season 3 between them two but if it doesn't, having most of what went down be offscreen is certainly a Choice. Even if it wasn't anything actually romantic, and just a "we're partners in crime, this is a business relationship". I mean, regardless of romance, cleary their relationship suffered a great change in dynamic, or even several changes, and we wanted to see that? I have so many questions.
Why was Daniel so upset about Armand abandoning him after turning him if as far as he knows Armand saw him as an enemy for destroying his marriage? How much time they spent together? How intimate was it? Did the bond continue to act out after they reconnected? How was Daniel convinced to do the chopping heads off plan? Or was it his plan? Did he know what Armand was doing with Louis? Were they actually planning to kill Lestat if the Talamasca didn't intervene? How does one teach someone else to walk in daylight? Did he believe Armand's confession? What were his feelings about it? Did he agree to be companions? If not, what does he think about Armand thinking they are? Was it him who proposed? How did the revenge porn come about and what was the goal specifically? Was it Daniel's idea? Was Armand even trying to expose Lestat and Gabriella at all or was it all Daniel? He was angry with Louis for the stalking, is he angry at Armand even if they are working together? Is he having an existential crisis about it? Even if they manage to answer half of these at some point, there will be still huge gaps in our understanding of what went down and if they are explained through exposition instead of us seeing and experiencing these events is going to feel quite disappointing imo. I really struggle to see how the show is gonna make sense of DM season 3 even if DM season 4 is amazing.
They invaded venezuela and you are upset i criticized the "invading other people's countries is good for them" propaganda movie 3 years ago because captain america is nice oh my god
Im so tired of people caring more about some fictional guy looking moraly correct than about real people
The fandom brained horror of going you're a dc fan, you're team tony, in a post about how the US treats the global south in reality and in its propaganda oh my god
"Op is a dc fan"
Op is brazilian you stupid fuck
u know u failed as a tvl adaptation if an interviewer has to ask why lestat doesnt just kill armand

ASSAD ZAMAN Obsessed with the Vampire | 13 Nov 2022
The issues of race and sexuality, I don't personally believe are an extra layer, I think they are the show. Really, really difficult to come across shows that do that as effectively as this one.
