Haikyuu First Kiss Headcannons
Please be nice this is my first time writing headcannons
Also these aren’t directed towards any specific ship just focused on how I think the characters would act so feel free to imagine them with whatever pairing you may like.
Hinata
Definitely very nervous
If anyone brings up the topic of kissing or asking about first kisses he’ll either run away from the conversation or change the subject
Probably bouncing up and down in anticipation/embarrassment
First kiss is very fast but also passionate
Not a deep kiss just a peck but enthusiastic none the less
Doesn’t give them a chance to react plants a kiss the books it
Next time he see’s them is extremely nervous and overthinking
Might avoid them and have to be forced into a room with them so he can calm down
After he sorts out that the kiss was okay and that no his s/o doesn’t hate him he’s still somewhat shy but very willing to kiss more and more openly
After all practice makes perfect right ;)
Well if not perfect makes him more confident
Yamaguchi
Nervous boy of course when is he not anxious
He would definitely plan this down to the last detail
Creates an entire day/date just to end with a kiss
When something goes wrong he has to convince himself not to call the whole thing off ( maybe he has once or twice but this time for sure he’s gonna do it)
He stops paying attention the closer he gets to it
His date will have to wave to get his attention a couple of times
When he finally gets to the perfect planned out moment he’s almost frozen
Will ask for consent
Not a very deep kiss but a long one
He lives in the moment and is scared that once he stops he’ll never get the chance
Apologizes after despite his date consenting and regardless of wether they kissed back or not
After the initial embarrassment he’ll turn to disbelief
“I kissed you” he’ll keep saying under his breath with a smile
For the rest of the night he’ll have the biggest smile on his face and nothing can wipe it off his face
When he wakes up the next morning he’ll text his date just to make sure yesterday was real
When he gets confirmation that smile will return to his face and he’ll be so giddy and excited
May even ask if he can see his date again today despite the fact that he had just seen them the night before
Noya
He definitely has asked multiple people before if he could kiss them
Constantly using cheesy pickup lines like “kiss me if I’m wrong but you’re not in my class” or “hey mamas how about some lip wrestling”
When someone finally takes him up on his pickup lines he is shocked but ecstatic
Starts  jumping up in down but like to prepare himself (think an opponent before like a boxing match)
Has to “warm up his lips” making dumb faces
Would not be surprised if his kissing partner took things into their own hands and kissed him
He would blink and then after a moment say “that doesn’t count”
When he finally did kiss it be messy
He isn’t necessarily a bad kisser (not that anyone could really be labeled from one kiss especially their first) but he is trying a lot for one kiss especially the first one
When he pulls away he lets out a “wow” before immediately asking for round two
