He woke up with a dull ache, pounding in his head. As he opened his eyes, his vision was blurry. The blurry vision began to clear in a matter of seconds, only to see he was in a dark room.
He felt something dripping down from his head- was it blood?
He didn't know, and frankly, he didn't care at the moment. He managed to sit himself up from his once laying position, glancing around the room. It was... Empty. And other than the moonlight coming from the window above.. Dark.
He tried to stand up, but-
He hissed a bit confused at the sudden pain that came; causing him to stumble back down. Glancing behind him, Ryuu soon discovered what was keeping him down.
Shackles. They were chained to a small loop on the floor that kept Ryuu from moving.
And they were tight, incredibly tight. Each movement, it felt like the shackles were digging into his skin. It hurt.
.. But he can't stop- not when the others need him. And.. Takeshi- she's all he has left, he can't lose his sister too-
"So you're finally awake."
A black mist flooded the room from the doorway, and she appeared. Izanami.. The orchestrator of this entire thing. She gently lifted the boy's face so he can look at her.
"You were out for quite some time, Ryuu. I do hope you enjoyed the nap."
"Let me go." Ryuu growled at her. She only scoffed, and set down his face; not minding the crimson liquid that dripped onto her hand.
"You should be more thankful... I could have ended your life a few moments ago." She huffed, not at all impressed.
"Yeah? Well so could everything else on this damn estate. Just because you're the goddess of death, doesn't make you so special." Ryuu huffed. "Now let. Me. Go."
Izanami only chuckled a bit, shaking her head slightly. "Silly boy... You have no idea what is about to happen."
"I reccomend getting your rest, dear... You'll need your strength for what's to come. Oh.. And, best to stop trying to escape.. It's pointless".
As she had appeared with the black mist, that is how the goddess left. Leaving the boy in the dark room, once more.
