*This blog is no longer active! I'm leaving it up as an archive but it's over five years old now! I'm now over at bocularteletheric and I don't do profiles anymore* Give me requests for a character and I'll make a whump profile where I state each time said character has been hurt physically! I do movies and TV shows and maybe books depending on whether or not I've read it :D

Stephen Jameson, the Tomorrow People, as requested by anonymous

Season 1

Episode 1: Has difficulty controlling his powers (not painful but could be considered whump) and experiences the pain caused by trying to kill someone.

Episode 7: Jedikiah temporarily removes Stephen's powers with a suppression cuff, which leaves him defenceless against another Tomorrow Person and is badly beaten and drowned, but is revived by John.

Episode 9: He gets John to kill him for information from his father, and they have trouble reviving him but he eventually wakes up.

Episode 10: He gets John to shoot him in the shoulder so he can keep his cover at Ultra and then is drugged by Jedikiah.

Episode 13: Is captured by the Founder and nearly tortured, but is saved at the last moment.

Episode 18: Tries to kill Jedekiah and so he experiences the pain caused by trying to kill someone again. He later tests out the Founder's machine, and it seems to hurt.

Season 1

Episode 1: Receives a minor wound from a bullet.

Episode 2: Has an unsuccessful bar fight before being rescued by Wash. He is then stabbed in the chest with a knife and stitched up by Simon, after very nearly losing a fight with Crow.

Episode 4: Nearly loses a sword fight, receiving multiple wounds before winning.

Episode 6: Drugged by Saffron.

Episode 8: The ship's life support fails, leaving Mal to freeze to death and suffocate, as well as getting shot in the abdomen. He is saved by Zoe and Simon.

Episode 10: Electrocuted and tortured literally to death by Niska, before being revived for more torture and then rescued by his crew.

Episode 11: Beaten up by Saffron.

Episode 14: Beaten up and knocked out by Jubal.

Serenity

Beaten up multiple times, gets stabbed and shot by the Operative.

Oh yes, The Flash is great! I watched that scene like, ahem, seven times? If you like whump (what am I saying, of course you do) and mysteries, you should check out Broadchurch. It stars David Tennant with a mysterious medical issue, and it plays out wonderfully through all 8 episodes. There's an American remake, Gracepoint, that's airing now, and there is also medicalness and whump in it, but it's still a WIP, and we haven't found out the diagnosis yet.

Ooooh I loved Broadchurch! Such whump, very delish :D I've heard about Gracepoint, but I didn't know it was a remake of Broadchurch :O Will definitely watch it, thank you anon!!

Episode 5: Kidnapped and nearly burned at the stake, but is saved.

Episode 7: Beaten up by Stitch and used as a hostage.

Episode 8: Serenity's life support systems go down, leaving the whole crew to suffocate (but freeze to death first), including Simon. They escape on the shuttles before it becomes life threatening.

Episode 9: Takes a drug that makes him appear dead and wakes up nauseous and dizzy.

Episode 14: Is attacked by Jubal Early and shot in the leg, the bullet is later removed by Zoe under Simon's own instruction.

Serenity

Is shot by the Reavers, but survives.

May I ask how you actually do the whump profiles? Do you like watch every single ep of a show or google the name with keywords or something completely different?

Well, honestly, all the shows that I've done profiles for so far I've already watched, so I just had to read the summaries and I'm familiar enough with the episodes to know when the character's hurt :P

For the shows I don't watch (haven't posted any of them yet because they take way way longer than the ones I do watch, but I have like six that are half done) I usually read through summaries and then watch the episodes of what summaries seem promising of whump (if that even makes sense). If it's a short show like only a season or two I'd just find it online somewhere, watch the pilot to figure out who the character even is and then flip through all the scenes that character's in.

It's easier if the show has a bigger fandom because then I'll just read through the summaries of all the episodes on the wikia and they're usually super detailed so it takes so long so it's super useful and thorough and awesome :D

Okay, as a previous big-time Shep whumper, I do vaguely recall there being such a list and if it was anywhere it would probably have been on the Shep Whump thread on Gateworld.

However, for your Shep whump pleasure, I have already volunteered to whumpsadaisy to put together a definitive list of Shep whump. I’m working on it atm (and also doing one for Ronan while I’m at it) but it’s gonna take a few days to complete as I’m basically working my way through my boxset of the entire 5 seasons just to make sure I don’t miss any teensy tiny instance of whump! :D

Episode 2: Gets shot in the side, but it is severely downplayed. Later, he gets beaten up, then nearly gets sucked out of the plane.

Episode 8: Touches a staff which makes him relive traumatic memories, becoming irritable and gaining super strength. Later he becomes exhausted after a gruelling fight, needing help to stand.

Episode 9: Beaten up then knocked out with a wrench.

Episode 10: Shot in the arm.

Episode 11: Has a sore/weak arm throughout the episode, and he tears his stitches in a fight.

Episode 13: Gets cut on the arm with a knife.

Episode 15: Roughly beaten up by May while he's hypnotised.

Episode 19: Gets beaten up by Garrett to maintain cover.

Episode 7: He is still recovering from his injuries.

Episode 9: He and Merle are forced into a battle to the death, where Merle beats him up and kicks him.

Season 4

Episode 16: Beaten up by Bill and Harley.

Episode 4: Is shot in the arm with a wolfsbane bullet, giving him 48 hours to live. Throughout the episode he is in pain and weak, coming very close to dying before a cure is found.

Episode 6: He is attacked and presumably killed until he returns in episode 8.

Episode 10: Kate kidnaps Derek and tortures him with electricity.

Episode 11: He is still being tortured by Kate.

Episode 12: He is finally rescued by Scott. Later, during a battle, he is knocked out.

Season 2

Episode 4: He is temporarily paralysed by the Kanima and falls into the pool, Stiles then holding him up for hours so he doesn't drown.

Episode 8: Derek is easily overpowered in a fight with Mrs Argent due to wolfsbane in the air.

Episode 9: Lydia knocks Derek out with wolfsbane and uses his blood to bring Peter back.

Episode 10: He is temporarily paralysed again.

Season 3A

Episode 4: He is attacked by the Alpha pack and has a metal pipe stabbed through his abdomen to hold him.

Episode 5: He falls onto an escalator and believed to be dead, until he turns up injured at Jennifer's car.

Episode 6: Jennifer helps him and his wounds heal.

Episode 7: Kali forces Derek to kill Boyd.

Episode 11: He risks his life to save Cora, losing his Alpha status as a result.

Season 3B

(Continues from 3A) Episode 13: He is being held and electrocuted.

Episode 16: He is attacked and branded by the Oni.

Episode 22: Is controlled by the flies and knocked out by Chris.

Episode 24: Kate shoots him in the chest and captures him.

Season 4

Episode 1: Kate has captured Derek and he is unconscious and tied up. Later, he is rescued, but de-aged.

Episode 2: Derek reverts to his normal age.

Throughout the rest of the season Derek loses his abilities, and all signs point towards his death.

Episode 12: He is stabbed and dies from his injuries, before coming back to life, having 'evolved' into a different form of werewolf.
