…okay so what if the problem with the taomeba never happened on the way back home. What if the radiation never got onto the Blip-A. What if Rocky ended up back on Erid, and Grace made it back to Earth. What if they missed each other desperately forever.

What if Grace made a lopsided crochet Rocky and cuddled it every night.

What if Rocky couldn’t stop making xenonite puppets of his alien friend.

What if I made myself cry, what about that? Huh? What then?

There's a song by a German singer-songwriter that has one line that translates to:

Like one half of a broken embrace

Your heartbreaking art made me think of it immediately, op. Both can never be whole again without the other by their side. Oh my God, it's so sad 😭. They'll be missing each other forever!

Idk if someone has already written or drawn this, but I was thinking about Rocky consuming everything he can find about humans and human culture and all there is to know about humans and can be found on the laptop, the Hail Mary or told by Grace, so he learns also about Christmas at some point. And he starts planning to surprise Grace with a Christmas celebration. You know, a Christmas tree made from Xenonite, gifts, everything. And it ends up being the best Christmas Grace has ever experienced. The holidays were always kinda lonely for him, but not on Erid anymore. He has his new found family. He isn’t alone anymore. (Little pebbles playing with and between the Eridian equivalent of wrapping paper!)
