“Well, you might have to wait until we get to the next town over.” He stated, a frown settling on his features. “I didn’t exactly leave of my own accord at the last village, not a big fan of my kind.” Pascal hadn’t mean to accidentally reveal himself as a non-human, in the midst of a brawl inside the local tavern, one of the instigators bumped into him and consequently grabbed onto his hat, ripping it off and exposing the elven feature he inherited from his mother.

“If you can’t, I’ll spare you some coin that I have.” He wasn’t going to leave the Witcher without some form of repayment. Items he can easily replace, himself? Not so much.
