I mean I could also do like .. those long discussion posts , but my only real thoughts I would expand on are like the gender centric view of identity in the space , how aesthetics are prioritized over experience and accessibility … okay maybe I have more things I could discuss than I thought

#💍 talking #One thing I would like to talk about but likely wouldn’t out of avoidance is this thing is see sometimes #of moral superiority when trying to address issues in the space . like how things are approached with agression rather than understanding #it frustrates me a lot to see long discussion posts at times #because they read as scolding rather than trying to educate others ; expressing disappointment or even contempt #I find that it can feel very isolating for those who want to learn #it makes it hard to access the information or the message when one is being belittled at the same time #preview of what that post would look like if I ever made it LOL #another thing I probably wouldn’t post out of avoidance :#the focus on the negative things in the space rather than the positives . the constant criticism with very little highlighting of the good #I’m not defending the flaws in mogai at all ; they’re important to address and grow from #but if all you do is point out those flaws without raising up what is done right ; it leads to pessimism and hostility towards one’s own #community . and I know that from personal experience . when all I see is infighting ; I grow resentful of the space I love #raising up those who make efforts to right wrongs ; those who are making the community a better place ; can do just as much good as pointing #out what is wrong . shouting out and supporting those who work hard to make mogai more accessible via plain texts and image IDs is just as #important as addressing the inaccessibility itself #yeahg . obviously not my full thoughts on either but
