For context: this came out in 2011 in Australia. Same-sex marriage would not be legalized until December 2017.

It was only legalized in 8 US states (the 8th only a few months before), and wouldn’t be legalized nation-wide until 2015.

It was only legal in TEN COUNTRIES in 2011. We wouldn’t hit 20 countries until 2017. (Australia was 23rd)

As of today (April 14, 2026), I believe only 38 countries have fully legalized same-sex marriage. Out of somewhere around 200 countries in the world. That’s only ~19% of countries.

This is still revolutionary.

With Tumblr starting to roll out age verification, it feels like a good time to bring this up.

I went to my app store and turned off automatic updates back when the staff tried to roll out their reblogs bullshit last month or whenever that was. The age verification is only in the UK and Brazil for now, but it'll probably spread.

Go to the app store and turn off automatic updates. Do it now. I will probably never update my app again. The people making these decisions can't be trusted and when the "age verification" database inevitably gets hacked, they will have some limp excuse and keep on doing it.

Sometimes I feel like people lowkey miss the point with Pit's comedic characterization on Uprising because I remember seeing people on reddit and youtube being like "Ehmmm Pit can't be that powerful, because he often gets roasted by the gods and he's often clumsy etc etc" when the point is that Pit gets roasted by the gods, and gets often underrated even by Palutena sometimes, AND at the same time, he IS strong, he resists, he fights until the end, he's a very capable warrior, Pit is the captain of Palutena's army because he proved her that he was worthy and strong in the NES game, as he spend a whole journey to defeat Medusa and to save Palutena.

Thanks to Dark Pit, we already know that Pit is aware of this, hence why DP is the way he is. He wishes he could be taken more seriously by the people around him.
