‘‘I’m not sure it is. Because do you even know what day it is today?’‘ perhaps Jesse was being too hard on him and she KNOWS he deserves better. But right now she just.. she was upset, and him showing up out of nowhere ON THIS EXACT DAY it just.. it’s too much. 

He thought for a moment. She told him a while ago.

“Jess..” his face numbed from emotion as he lost his confused grin. She told him, and he forgot. Why did he randomly choose this day to visit her? Maybe it was his subconscious telling him to console her, or maybe just some random stroke of bad luck. “Jesse, I’m sorry. I know I shouldn’t have come today, but I- I thought you need company.”

“Uh…yeah. I don’t suppose anyone else is here right now?” She laughed, suddenly feeling terribly awkward in her leather costume. “I’m Linda Park, I work with Iris.”

She looked down at the outfit she was wearing when he commented on it, shaking her head and laughing softly. “Oh, I’m not a hero, if that’s what you’re thinking. This is…a really long story, to be honest.”

“Nope, sorry...” Wally was quiet as he tried his best not to size her up too much in her outfit, to avoid her feeling awkward. Way too quiet. “Oh, Wally West... Iris, she’s my sister.”

He noticed her looking down, and diverted his eyes to the wall. He was embarrassed he made her a little self-conscious. “Well, you could’ve fooled me,” he chuckled, setting his eyes back on her, “I mean the outfit suits you... Yeah? Well since we have the introduction out of the way, I’m sure I’d like to hear that story.”

“You guys would not believe what I just found.” She hadn’t gone through all of her things yet, only having returned from Coast City a few months ago ( and she kept putting it off ). But when she had finally looked through some of the more recent things, she had found the costume that gotten her into this world in the first place, and couldn’t resist trying it on. And then she had to go to Star Labs, obviously, and find someone who would appreciate it with her. She had been expecting to see her favorite coworker or her ex-boyfriend - not some random man that she had never seen before, standing there like nothing was wrong. “Wait, who are you?”

“Oh, boy... Uh...” Wally shot up from his spot, not sure what to think of the girl who had interrupted his homework studies. 

“You were looking for someone else, huh? Right, well, I’m Wally. I guess you know about us, considering you’re dressed like... that... and all...”

Luckily, he didn’t have to, and she did it for him. “Oh- Yeah, yeah... B-... Flash is kind of the ‘big guy in charge’, even though he’s learning at the same speed as us.” His arms folded as he met the inter-dimensional traveler. “Yeah, well, I can open a breach for you. A-after you eat, that is. If you’re still hungry?”
