My name is Navy, they/them. I’m 19. My main blog is @navy-nyoom
This is my sideblog for the The Witcher! Specifically The Witcher Netflix, I have not yet branched out into the other adaptations or the books.
I was introduced to the series by being a fan of The Amazing Devil since 2020. My favourite character is Jaskier and he means everything to me
If anyone would like to roleplay, DM me! I can play Jaskier, Ciri, Yennefer, Cahir, Fringilla or Vespula. I have no ocs of my own but am happy to play a canon against ocs
MASTERLIST OF MY FAN CONTENT BELOW THE CUT. Includes posted works with their links, and wips/ideas with where I’m at in the creation process in brackets

Jaskier: No I get it.
Ciri: I was stressed!
Apparently, Jaskier kisses Radovid like he plays the lute...
The right hand goes for the strings/hair...
The left hand supports the neck...
More seriously, though, I was so focused on the delicate way that Jaskier runs his fingers through Radovid's hair (and then holds / caresses his jaw during the rest of the scene), that I'd totally been ignoring what his other hand had been doing!
It's only while coming across a slow motion gif of the scene that I (finally!!!) noticed that he also reaches for the back of Radovid's neck/head (you see his fingers move a few hair strands in the back) with his left hand.
Jaskier really went into full "target acquired and locked into position" mode with Radovid, didn't he?
One hand to the back of the head, the other to the front...
Just in case Radovid might have thought Jaskier had stumbled upon his lips by accident, you know?
And the funny thing is that it looks like Jaskier's left hand is still at the back of Radovid's neck/head when they are more heavily making out later on (on the last frame).
Meaning that, while Radovid is apparently the one holding Jaskier in his arm and stabilizing them, Jaskier would be the one that's choosing to keep their faces so close during that scene, even when the two of them aren't kissing.
Mind you, I'm pretty sure that Jaskier would immediately allow Radovid to pull away if he made any attempt to (just like Radovid would likely let go of Jaskier's back/shoulders right away, if he tried to get out of the embrace).
But the idea that Jaskier is the one choosing to purposefully hold Radovid's face so close to his, and expressing a need for such emotional/physical intimacy between them, is quite lovely.
I will be watching season 4 SOON but it won’t be for a little bit because all of my hyperfixation shows decided to come out at the same time and I can’t handle all that at once. So we’re watching The Witcher S4 probably later this month or at the start of December
I feel like this is an unpopular opinion, but more people should read incomplete/unfinished/in-progress fanfics.
I've noticed this huge trend where creators on tiktok and tumblr who will be explaining how to use Archive Of Our Own to new users and they always say "and make sure to scroll down and click completed only" or how people will go out of their way to mention they only read completed fics 'because they were traumatized when they forgot to check the dates and didn't realize this fic hadn't been updated since 2012'.
The thing is - I think by not engaging with and/or actively avoiding writer's WIPs readers are potentially adding to the aggregate of abandoned works. Now this obviously isn't the case for all abandoned fics, anything from major life events, to loss of interest, to getting busy can be a reason for a fic getting abandoned - but at least on some level I just know that writers are quitting while they're ahead when they aren't garnering any response or feedback because reading WIPs has become unpopular. If you're worried about reading something that hasn't been updated since 2012 then you can use the date updated function to sort out old fics.
Anyways, support your favorite fanfic writers by engaging with their WIPs.
#The journey of reading a fic while it's updating is part of the fun!
Yes exactly this! I love subscribing to fics forgetting about them a bit and then being pleasantly surprised when they update again and they show up in my inbox. It makes me feel like I'm a Charles Dickens fan living in 1830s London waiting patiently for his new chapter to be released via the daily paper.
Frankly sometimes fics that are incomplete and haven't been updated since 2012 are just worth the read anyway. The story may never have a conclusion, but I have found abandoned works with concepts that no one else is writing. What's there can be incredibly well-executed, emotionally affecting, and inspiring.
So, I don't know, if everything else about the tags and description appeals to you, maybe consider clicking on it knowing full well the work will never be completed.
