38+6 Lost my mucous plug today. She's been engaged since Sunday, so 4 days now. Bus is clean, food prepared. I'm ready! Hopping she makes her appearance soon ☺ so excited for this next season. March 30 39 weeks. Lost more mucous plug this morning and it was tinged with more blood than yesterday. My body has really been clearing itself out since last night. Feeling slightly queasy. I'm heading out for a hike this morning so we will see! My intuition for the last month or so is that she's coming between the 1st and the 4th, and tomorrow is the 1st! Excited and hoping to meet her soon! 39+1 Woke up around 2 am last night to very intense tightenings. I was SURE this was it. They were coming on about every 7 minutes and felt completely different than the practice waves I've been having my whole pregnancy. I could feel them changing my cervix, and they actually felt really good and productive. I turned on my hypnobabies tracks and easily meditated through them as they got more intense. I was so excited, I could hardly keep calm. I wanted to jump up and run around celebrating, but I think all the adrenaline from my excitement knocked them back 😔 around 5 am they tapered off and I was able to sleep for about 2 hours. Today I'm scrubbing the floors and I shoveled a bunch of gravel. Hoping to get things moving again. I'm very surprised to have had my bloody show yesterday and still no baby. I was really disappointed this morning, mostly because I was so sure it was the real thing, but I know we're in the final stretch. Feeling like it will be soon...
What are you naming your baby girl?
We'll be sharing that once she's born ☺
One month until my due date and feeling... full, uncomfortable, sensitive and basically like I just want to be in a cave..
35 weeks
And officially feeling SO pregnant 😳 I don't know what happened this past week, but holy moly! I don't feel like doing a log update, but on Monday Elizabeth Messina is doing my maternity photos and I am fangirling SO hard! I can't even wait. Life is good. Things are crazy and busy, and I'm tired but happy. ☺
34 weeks
34 weeks and still really marveling at the ease of it all! Despite a lot of the fear that came in early in the pregnancy with all my bleeding, this really has been the easiest most comfortable pregnancy! I've got about 6 weeks left, give or take, and I'm actually really enjoying it. I am feeling a bit antsy and excited for my birth since I enjoyed it so much with Montana and I am fully expecting a fast, comfortable and enjoyable birth with baby girl. But overall, I'm just taking it day by day and I know that the next few weeks will fly by. I want to remember as much about this pregnancy and how I felt so I'm going to go through and list everything I can think of from head to toe... because I like lists 🙈 No significant headaches this pregnancy. I had maybe 1 or 2 migraines in my second trimester, but I think those were more related to other factors. I've had a little bit of 'pregnancy brain' and forgetfulness, but for the most part still feeling pretty sharp and myself. My skin has stayed pretty clear, and no big changes in hair growth. My face is a bit swollen, but that's to be expected for me since I show weight gain in my face pretty easily. My breasts have grown a ton, probably from a small B to now at least DD and I'm expecting more as my milk comes in, but hardly any soreness and no new stretch marks there or anywhere else. I noticed a tiny bit of colostrum, but no leakage. No swelling in my arms or fingers as of yet. My belly is obviously huge, but it still feels smaller than with Montana and I've been measuring about 2 cm short at my appointments which is odd since Montana was so large. I'm wondering if she will be more average sized 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 My skin hasn't been itchy or really feeling all that stretched at all. I've had some on and off digestive discomforts throughout the pregnancy despite my eating habits being pretty damn impeccable, but I've found that eating animal products really helps, oddly enough! No significant cravings like I had with Montana and no aversions at all, though my tastes have certainly changed! After 15 years of strict vegetarianism and veganism, I've gone full on carnivore. All this child wants is animal products! Meat, cheese, yogurt, milk! Part of me definitely feel guilty, but it just feels SO right and healthy for my body right now that I can't deny that it's the right thing for this season. I'm still very much enjoying chewing on ice, mostly for the sensation and crunch and peppermint seriously hits the spot again, even though my iron and vitamin levels are all perfect! I've had some very mild pelvic/hip discomfort, but mostly just if I'm sitting or sleeping too much. As long as I'm active, it mostly stays away. Luckily, being at the farm everything is so spread out and there always so much to do, so I've been a lot more active this pregnancy. No back pain. No heartburn. No hemroids or any other types of 'down there' discomfort 🙈 No swelling in my legs or feet whatsoever and no varicose veins. Emotionally, I feel pretty great. Maybe slightly more sensitive and emotional, but generally quite grounded and happy. One things I've gotten really intense into is nesting. I'm a big preparer and list maker, so this comes as no surprise, but I think it actually goes beyond that. With all of the fear and doubt early on in this pregnancy, we were really unsure if we could even start prepping, so I waited until 24 weeks to buy anything. Once that happened, I discovered buy sell trade pages on Facebook and went a little crazy! I think prepping, organizing, and buying became my way of controlling the uncontrollable situation and giving myself something to hold on to to know she was really coming. Now being 34 weeks, I've bought literally everything I can think of. Her clothes and diapers and washed and in there drawers, my birth and postpartum kit sit ready and waiting, and now I don't know what the hell else I'm going to do for the next six weeks!!! Everyone keeps telling me to just relax, but doing nothing is NOT relaxing to me! It's kind of freaking me out that I have nothing else to organize, clean, buy or prep. I guess I have my maternity session and mama blessing coming up that I can focus my energy on, and I'm going to start planning little treats and special things to surprise Montana with after she's born. I'll start prepping snacks in a few weeks, but being at the farm all of our dinners are made for us and I know people will be bringing by lots of love and goodies! Yay for support! But also, what the hell else am I going to do with myself?!? Really the main inconvenience has been sleep! It's sort of hard to get comfortable and I have to change positions a lot. I pee about 2 or 3 times a night, which isn't too bad, but my mind just has such a hard time shutting off! My body is fully ready for cosleeping, because I swear every noise wakes me up and I'm ready to run a dang marathon instantly! So my sleeping has been really spotty, I nap with Montana some days and that helps. I'm not feeling too exhausted or worn out, it's mostly just frustrating because I really love a good nights sleep. Luckily, she seems to sleep very well at night and she never wakes me up. The only time she even really moves at night it to readjust after I change positions. In general, she's a heck of a lot calmer and less active than Montana. It's given me a scare a few times in the pregnancy, but I think it's just her personality! She generally pretty active for about an hour or so after dinner and she gets hiccups every day, but other than that she stays pretty quiet and calm. She stretches out a lot, but not perfectly straight like Montana did where I felt like my belly would rip open 😳 she's been head down since at least 20-something weeks and she floats around between engaged and not. She's usually anterior but still spinning around a lot, though I've been trying as much as I can to keep her anterior.
33 weeks
Pregnancy is funny when you've done it before... with Montana, 9 months felt like an eternity. Each week longer than the next and it seemed like we would never reach the end. And then he was born and before I knew it, it had been a month, then a year, then three.. Now, it still feels slow sometimes, but I know how fast it all really is. I know it won't be long until I'll be looking back at this with a 3 month old or one day a 10 year old. I'm trying to savor this time.. for these short nine months, out of her whole life, my daughter resides within me, she and I are one. The eggs that will carry the genetics of my grand babies reside within her womb within my womb. A lineage of women within me. So when the days feels slow, and my belly feels like it can't possibly stretch any more, I think of her heart so close to mine
30 weeks
How Far Along: 30 weeks! Total Weight Gain: I haven’t the slightest idea. I don't think I've weighed myself the entire time. Days until next doc appointment?: I just had one, so two and half more weeks! They're a little more spread out since we're about an hour from our midwife, but only one more regular appt then it's our home visit 🙊 can't believe we're already there! Innie or Outtie: Its flat on top and the bottom is out 😂 Symptoms: Well aside from the beach ball I'm smuggling... starting to feel slightly uncomfortable and awkward with my belly getting so big, but it's not too bad! The main thing I've been dealing with is not being able to fall into a deep sleep. I'm slightly more emotional or irritable than usual, but a heck of a lot less than we I was pregnant with Montana! Maternity Clothes: I'm basically down to leggings and a few long sweaters... all the bands on my maternity jeans are getting too tight on my belly and my shirts are getting too short. I feel like the make maternity clothes for when you're all cute and tiny in the second trimester, but by the time you start carting around a giant watermelon they're all way too tiny! Sleep: I've been struggling with sleep since about 25 weeks. That's really been the only hard part about this pregnancy lately. I just sleep SO lightly and EVERY noise wakes me up. My body is already so alert, which I know will be great when I have a newborn, but I would love to get some sleep before then! Stretch marks: none as of yet! Embarrassing Pregnant Moment: lets just say, 3rd baby = not so great bladder control 🙈 Sex: Baby gal!! ❤️❤️❤️ Food Cravings: no significant cravings like I had with Montana. Enjoying pretty much all food! I'm really into crunchy things so I enjoy chewing on ice, but again, I don't crave it like I did with Montana. Food Aversions: nothing! I don't think I've had a single real aversion this pregnancy! Movement: All the time! She usually gets hiccups every day now and she still rolling around quite a bit. She still feels a lot less intense than Montana and seems so sleep a lot more. She is almost always sleeping when I do and only moves to readjust when I move. I'm hoping that sticks around when she's born! How are you feeling?: i have a gnarly cold, so pretty terrible at the moment. I feel like nature should have a law where moms who are in their third trimester and have a toddler should be exempt from getting sick! But aside from that, I'm feeling pretty good! What I am looking forward to: giving birth, honestly! I'm trying to enjoy the next ten or so weeks with just the three of us as much as humanly possible, but I'm very excited for what's to come ☺️ My Baby in Veggie/Fruit/Food Terms: a winter squash 😳 Due Date: April 7. I'm guessing April 13th though! Miss Anything? Fitting into clothes was nice 😂 Have You Started to Show Yet? Yep! Happy or Moody Most of The Time? Mostly pretty happy! Have you picked out names? We did sort-of-officially pick a name! We're open to it changing if it doesn't feel right when we meet her, but I'm pretty solid that it will! I don't think we will share it on social media though until she's born.
Don't reblog Don't be creepy
27 week bumpdate Whenever I'm lying in bed, trying to fall asleep I think of so many little tidbits I want to record and remember about this pregnancy, but whenever I go to write it down, I seem to forget so much.. I feel like she's gone through a huge growth spurt in the last 10 days or so! Everyone has been commenting about how much my belly has popped all the sudden and I'm certainly feeling a lot fuller. It's getting more difficult to put on my shoes or bend over, but Shaun's been so sweet and helpful, always helping me with my shoes or with Montana whenever he is home, so that makes it easier. I also just feel her so much more now, there isn't nearly as much room her anymore so I can feel all of her movement and hiccups. She is still shifting around quite a bit (even now as I write this) but she definitely seems to prefer my right side. She's usually head town and tucks her little head into my hip bone and sticks her bitt straight up, especially when she's sleeping 😂 when I wake up, I almost always have this odd, lopsided belly with a huge lump below my right rib from her little tushy! It's kind of amazing actually when she's right at the front like that because you can see her exact size and shape. Being in my sch group, I she a ton of preemie babies born around this time and she feels so much bigger than they look 😳 I was kind of hoping for a more "average sized" baby this time around since Montana fit in his newborn clothes for like... a week 😂 but I think we will probably have another 9 pounder on our hands! We officially have less than 3 months until my due date (89 days!) and it's all starting to feel so real! Im soooo excited to meet her, but also a little shocked at how fast it's all gone by! This pregnancy has flown compared to Montana's, which make sense considering I'm perpetually chasing the wildest toddler you've ever met, but it still all feels a little surreal. Before this pregnancy I was pretty set that this would be our last child, but I'm just not sure anymore, there's something so sweet about this child, she just makes me want to have more children! I'm not really ready to face the fact that this could be my last pregnancy.. This motherhood thing can be SO hard and exhausting and lonely and frustrating sometimes, but it's my favorite thing about being human. And actually, for the most part, the parenting part hasn't been so hard, it's just life that's been hard and makes being a parent more challenging. But Montana is the biggest blessing I've ever had and I cannot wait to have another little joy in our life. It's crazy to even imagine having two tiny humans running around that Shaun and I love so damn much, and I'm so excited for that. I hope she's as calm as she feels.. of course we'll love whoever she is, but Montana is SO Shaun, they both have boundless energy, they're SO social, SO physical and SO joyful, but I just can't keep up! Over the years I've just come to love the quiet and slow, in social but definitely an introvert. It would be nice to have someone who doesn't mind being slow and quiet with me. 😂 of course I love montana's wildness, heck, I prayed for a wild little boy! But it would also be lovely to have some balance! Montana was such an easy baby though! I certainly wouldn't mind that again! It's going to be so lovely to have the different experiences both of them!
How Far Along: 24 weeks and 4 days. Total Weight Gain: I haven’t the slightest idea. Days until next doc appointment?: about two more weeks. Innie or Outtie: Its been flat since about 15 weeks. I don’t remember it popping out much with Montana, at least not until the very end Symptoms: I’m actually feeling really great physically this pregnancy. I’m nesting like a straight up wild woman.. I’ve basically bought all of her clothes up to 18 months and I can’t stop cleaning 😳 other than that, some mild insomnia, weird dreams, lots of peeing, and huge boobs! Maternity Clothes: yep! I got a little over excited when I was pregnant with river and bought a ton of maternity clothes so I’ve been in those since the very beginning. Sleep: Montana sleeps about 12 hours a night so I usually sleep when he does and occasionally I’ll join him for naps, so I feel pretty rested most days! I’m starting to need a lot of pillows to get comfortable at night and I’m peeing every few hours. A few bad nightmares, but not nearly as often as with my last 2 pregnancies. Overall, pretty great! Stretch marks: none! But I didn’t really get them with Montana until the last week or two- even then, none on my belly. Embarrassing Pregnant Moment: like last time, I’m a lot more gassy than usual 🙈 this weekend we were at the hot springs and as I was getting out, I was trying to hold in a fart, but I slipped and totally farted right in this group’s direction… the kicker- we were all naked 😂😂 Sex: Baby gal!! ❤️❤️❤️ Food Cravings: meat, cheese, and red wine. Still odd considering I hadn’t eaten meat in 15 years 😳 I’ve had a few bites here and there this pregnancy. It makes me feel so guilty but it feel sooooo good for my body right now Food Aversions: nothing in particular Movement: Lots! She’s a lot calmer than Montana but still quite active! Yesterday was the first time I felt her have the hiccups 😍😍 How are you feeling?: Trying to enjoy and not rush things.. taking it all one day at a time. Looking forward to meeting her, but also trying to treasure this pregnancy since it might be the last time. What I am looking forward to: a comfortable, full term pregnancy, easy labor and postpartum, and and a mellow happy baby girl! My Baby in Veggie/Fruit/Food Terms: an eggplant 🍆 Due Date: April 7. I’m guessing April 13th though! Miss Anything? Wine! Yoga! (Still technically on bedrest..) Have You Started to Show Yet? Yep! Happy or Moody Most of The Time? Just feeling very even keel and calm! I’ve felt so grounded this whole pregnancy. She has such a relaxing, comforting, grandmotherly sort of energy.

About Your Pregnancy
Is this your first pregnancy? Third!
When did you find out you were pregnant? We conceived on July 15th, on the 16th I just felt it and knew I was pregnant! I got a positive test 9 days later.
Was it planned? Yes, we had been planning river’s pregnancy for a really long time. After I lost her, I knew I wanted to try again immediately.
What was your first reaction? I sobbed! I was so full of gratitude and emotion.
Who was with you when you found out? I had been testing like a crazy person since I lost river so I was in the bathroom alone but I ran out to Shaun as soon as the line up.
Who was the first person you told? Shaun!
How did your parents react? I actually didn’t tell my dad. I didn’t plan on telling him at all because he was such a dick about it the last two times, he found out through a family member, so I don’t even know.
What was your first symptom? Just KNOWING. I can always feel when I’m pregnant in my womb.
Have you picked out names? We have a few, but I don’t think we will decide until we meet her
Have you heard the heartbeat? Yes, I was feeling a little panicky today so Montana and I took a quick listen and checked her pulse- 143!
About the birth:
Will you keep the baby? Yes!
Home or hospital birth? Home.. well, farm birth!
Natural or medicated birth? Planning on nothing but sweet sweet water!
Who will be in the delivery room with you? Well, not delivery room, but at the birth. Shaun, Montana, our midwife, hopefully my friend Kelle to photograph, and maybe some of the girls on the farm to help with Montana and love on me ❤️ gotta love that commune life!
Will you breastfeed? Yes!!
Do you think you’ll need a c-section? I think that is extremely unlikely.
Will you cry when you hold the baby for the first time? I don’t generally cry in moments like those! I’m usually too excited! But maybe with her birth I will since it’s all been such an emotional roller coaster Would you let someone videotape the birth? I’ll probably set up the camera on tripod like I did with Montana. I love watching our birth video and I’m so grateful to have it! We actually just watched it today Are you excited about the birth, or scared? I am really, really excited. This time I know what I’m getting into and I can’t wait. I LOVE giving birth! Pregnancy Perk: Just getting to be pregnant and have healthy pregnancies with our child is SUCH a priveledge ❤️
