I'm still on my thing, yeah. Johan always peculiarly tickles my mind. I'm not entirely sure if I'm happy with how this one turned out, but I decided it's better to post it than not. The photo of Heidelberg that I used in the background of this photo is public domain and can be found here.

A work-in-progress bit of a piece I'm working on rn. I originally wanted to put a sunset behind Johan, but maybe a dreary clouded sky is more fitting? I'm not sure yet lol. I feel like this captures the oppressive humid warmth of the weather here in Germany quite well.

Trochlear nerve palsy - Johan Liebert Ver.

I'm sure a version of Johan already exists out there, but I wanted to give it a try anyway... I worked on this for so long that I'm sick of looking at it and will just go ahead and post it even though I kind of feel like it's missing something.

I became inspired by the motive of an indie Current 93 bandshirt by neofolk_shirts (the second picture in this post, sadly, the only iteration I could find via Instagram) - it's a segment of the song "When The May Rain Comes". The cat is an illustration by Louis Wain, I'm sure many will recognize it. Something about it reminded me of Johan. The other illustration with the text "The Dream Has Gone" came as an afterthought, when I thought about Johan's words towards the end of the manga when he said, "My dream has ended", or something similar depending on the translation.

This is a bit of a weird artwork for me, and I'm not sure where I stand on it, but I wanted to post it regardless.

My entry for the @seisubhanamiexchange of this year! This is my artwork for Kasta (bifauxnen), for the prompt: "Catholic au". I will fully admit that I struggled with this one and had to start anew several times, even though I adore the idea and I normally enjoy drawing bishops/priests and so on. I suspect that it's because I don't usually draw the characters even though I enjoy them a lot. I am nevertheless pleased with how this one turned out in the end and I hope you like it! <3 Happy SeiSub Hanami!

I hope every single person who puts nice comments in tags under reblogged art knows that you you guys are the backbone of society. Being an artist online sucks these days, but here on tumblr I still get compliments under artworks that I made years ago. I hope you know every WOW and heart emoji and heartfelt compliment and funny comment you left in the tags is part of the reason I kept drawing all these years, in spite of everything that was going on.

I've been screenshotting the nice tags I get for years, and at this point it would be literal thousands of lines if I still had my old files. I love u tumblr users <333333333

I recently started translating a very old Russia/Prussia fanfiction that I started writing over ten years ago. I originally wrote it in German, but now translated it into English (you can read it here if you want!). It's been over ten years, but I still adore this pairing more than any other, and the historical aspect of it is what makes it extra appealing to me. It's probably the reason why nothing can really compare to it for me.
