do you have recommendations for favourite willowen fanfics? the world needs More

you mean apart from my own? (just kidding but also not 🤭) well, I have read everything that's on AO3 so I do feel qualified to answer this so let's do this. my favourites in no particular order because I love them all and have reread them all quite a lot of times.

Have Your Cake And... - heartcansing: I love this one so much because I'm an older Willowen enthusiast and the dialogue is so god damn perfect, I feel like I'm intruding on a real day in their lives. it's canon. 💔

A Little Room Inside - emmaliza: this one is canon to me, lowkey also highkey. my delusional brain has accepted this and has adapted my own silly version of reality accordingly. the way they seamlessly integrated real dialogue from Robbie's book has made me very, very happy and obsessed.

Locked In Your Heart - heartcansing: in the exact same vein, this one is also canon. why? because it's fantastically written. and the inspiration for this one has been in my mind rent free for months now.

1993 - soft_science: 90s Willowen, also canon, also wonderfully written and in character.

The show goes on - black_cottoncandy: wonderful little introspective about the wilderness years and Robbie and Mark having to answer questions about one another for years and years despite the separation

Sex, Lies, and Videotape - heartcansing: I'm saying all of these are canon by the way simply because I'm a dialogue snob and all of these have their voices down so well that I feel like it could be canon even if it's only because I can hear Mark and Robbie as I'm reading the words. So yeah, this one is also canon or at least, I wish it was canon...to a degree! One mighty degree. It's good, it's so good.

Call and Response - emmaliza: more 90s Willowen, really describes how I'd envision them in the 90s if they had been a thing. so it's also canon!

It's Just So Obvious - heartcansing: and at last more older Willowen and also ESPECIALLY featuring Land of Dreams Mark because he is my eternal love. once again just perfect dialogue and thus canon because I said so.

And now, just because you came to my account and I'm a shameless self-promoter, out of the stories I have written My Only Friend is by far my favourite because I wrote it for myself, I had so much fun writing it, it was as though Mark and Robbie had moved into my brain and have been residing there ever since.

There are so many more stories, especially from the writers that I've posted here but these are the ones that stuck with me and have impressed my emotional little heart the most.
