Do you think the gang didn’t have a funeral for Jax’s supposed Frog friend? That’s why in the second episode Jax doesn’t attend the funeral

He maybe makes the first face because he did like Kaufmo and was sad, or he was thinking of the Frog friend that abstracted before. But then he switches to an angry face, because they like to have a funeral for “everyone who abstracts.” Everyone except for his friend.

Because though it could also be him hiding his sad emotions, he usually does that by joking or being mean/teasing, not by getting angry.

And though Jax is heartless and mean, I don’t think he’s mean enough to not go to a funeral, if not only to get one last jab in during his goodbye speech. Unless doing it out of spite. (ie. You didn’t host a funeral for my friend that I cared about, and not only is that upsetting, but that could mean that when I go, you may not hold one for me. So I’m not going to go to yours, if you’re not going to even have mine.)

(Also wanted to point out this may be the last time we see Ragatha be nice to Jax. Her trying to cheer him up by assuring him the next adventure may be fun and filled with blood, death, and violence! After that, we only ever see them bicker)

so are we all thinking that jax has keys for all the rooms in the circus because his frog friend likely abstracted in their room and he wasn't able to get in and do anything to help
