speaking of the school for good and evil I have to write a clarinora fic one of these days. it would require rereading the books which would be so painful, but they were probably the second w/w ship I sincerely cared about and were kind of my introduction to fan culture. I started one once upon a time and don't have it but I think I owe it to myself in a way
#before I shipped them it was sophie and agatha but. guys. if you've never read the books you won't understand how this happened but#they were siblings but I SWEAR TO GOD that wasn't the intention and they didn't reveal it until book 3#book 3's was the most redefining reveal ever. I had to examine myself a lot after that#the books were all pretty sucky but 3 was...#it was my favorite as a kid actually because I liked sophie as evil queen (I identified with her so much despite us being nothing alike)#but in retrospect it was such a bad book. like arguably worse than the gender essentialist misogynistic slop that was book 2#rafal was grooming this girl and while he was always the bad guy they still kinda romanticized their relationship#as for all the books after three...I read them all but I remember nothing but 4 and maybe one scene of five#they were bad because tedros/agatha is bad because tedros is bad. it was a girl-centered series before then but they suddenly scrapped it#for SLOP. anyway don't ask me about anything after three
