I understand the reason for all this false flagging now. Its not that Falin must die, and that their quest is about accepting death. Its that Falin is so selfless and people pleasing, that she thinks they should just give up on her, if it gets too difficult. She's afraid of asking too much, even if it means she must perish.

If you either eat or get eaten, Falin choose to get eaten, for their sake.
