Wrapping Up the Tournament

Following the steps of his monarch, Percy Tholos proposed to Jasmin, his favorite lady.

But... this is the worst case scenario for Percy the Romance Sim.

If only he had been King, he could have started a personal harem instead of getting married!

The proposal fever is not over yet!

Next, Maximilien Francy (who is now a merchant after reaching third place in the tournament) proposed to his belle, Rose Florina.

And she gladly said yes :)

The tournament is now over! (Thanks for reading this far!)

I will be setting up all the new families into their estate, and then we will start the rotation on Spring of the First Year.

Windenbury’s New Queen

Now that Edward has been crowned King of Windenbury, he had to make his first very important decision.

He immediately asks Sofia’s hand in marriage!

Can you guess what she said?

Windenbury has a future queen!

Since Edward is a Family Sim, his rule will be reflective of that.

Married Sims will have more advantages, and things like adultery will be highly frowned upon.

The Last Trial - Results

The decisive match between Edward and Percy.

And the winner is...

Edward!

Edward Mestris is the new King!

Percy is infuriated.

(You two are not going to become mortal ennemies, right?)

But since he reached second place, Percy will be granted nobility!

The Last Trial - Part 2

The rock-paper-scissors match begins!

Edward is the first to win!

Edward: 1 - Percy: 0

But nothing is set yet, 3 victories are required to win...

Edward: 1 - Percy: 1

It’s a draw! The candidates are ready for round two.

Edward wins again! His sweatheart Sofia is delighted.

Edward: 2 - Percy: 1

It’s a draw again!

Edward: 2 - Percy: 2

The tension rises. Now, the first one who wins will become King!

Will it be Family Sim Edward, or Romance Sim Percy?!

Sofia can’t even bear to look. Everyone is holding their breath...

“Yes, he won!” cries Elend.

The Last Trial

And now, the time of the last trial has finally come. Today will decide who will become Windenbury’s new King!

Our two last brave candidates are Percy Tholos and Edward Mestris.

They both fought bravely during all the trials and are equally deserving. What kind of trial could reveal the true winner?

A game of rock-paper-scissors!

The rules are simple : the first to win 3 times will win the crown!

Everyone has gathered to witness the epic match about to unfold.

The Third Trial - Results

Maximilien claims that the best strategies rely on magical stones. 

Magical stones are shiny and powerful, who wouldn’t like them?

Percy strongly disagrees. No magical artefact can rival with the power of courage and loyalty!

Edward shares his point of view.

After a very long debate, Edward’s proposition was the strongest.

Poor Maximilien is eliminated! He will become a merchant for his good effort.

The Third Trial

A new day rises and a new trial begins!

This time, our three remaining candidates will have to discuss military tactics!

The one who makes the least convincing proposition (ie the less logic skill points) will be eliminated!

As a reminder, our three candidates so far are :

- Left: Maximilien Francy (Pleasure Asp, Kleptomaniac, Socially Awkward, Daredevil)

- Middle: Percy Tholos (Romance Asp, Hydrophobic, Perfectionist, Charismatic)

- Right: Edward Mistern (Family Asp, Daredevil, Brave, Hopeless Romantic)

The Favor of the People

Before we eliminate the Sim with the lowest score so far, a special point needs to be awarded.

So far, the trials only tested the candidates physical abilities. However, a King should not just be a good fighter, he must also have good social skills to lead and inspire his people!

Thus, a bonus point will be given the candidate with the higher number of friends.

Percy Tholos

Percy is leading the tournament so far with 3 points.

Meanwhile, he managed to make 3 friends.

Maximilien Francy

In second position with 2 points, Maximilien took the time to develop 4 friendships!

Edward Mistern

With only 1 point, Edward is in third position. He managed to make 3 friends.

Severus Rowle

Last, Severus Rowle has 0 points, and he only made 2 friends.

The Results

Maximilien Francy wins the favor of the people! He now has 3 points.

But, this doesn’t change the ranking at all (sorry, that was a bit anti-climactic). Without much surprise, Severus Rowle is eliminated from the tournament!

(He is insane, unstable, and a schmoozer anyway)

However, to compensate him for his good efforts, Severus will become a merchant in the future kingdom.

After the Second Trial

After all this swordfighting, it’s time for the candidate to enjoy some down time.

Maximilien and Rose are getting along pretty well.

Inspired by the lovebirds, Elend found the courage to tell Sagitta how beautiful she is.

Agatha felt that it was time to give them some privacy.

And... she was right!

Aren’t they cute?

The Second Trial

The second trial starts today!

This time, the four remaining candidates will have to face each other in a sword fighting competition!

For each victory, a candidate will receive one point.

The Sim with the lowest score at the end of the day will be eliminated from the tournament.

I didn’t take a picture of each duel because the sword object was glitchy, and the animation doesn’t show who won anyway.

Thus, I decided that for each duel the Sim with the higher body skill points would win.

Here are the results!

- Percy Tholos won all of his duels, he receives 3 points.

- Maximilien Francy won two duels, so he gets 2 points.

- Edward Mistern won only one duel, he gets 1 point.

- Severus Rowle lost every time, thus he has 0 point.

However, the trial is not over since tonight, a special bonus point will be awarded...

After the First Trial

Now that the first trial is over, it’s time for a little feast!

Jasmin congratules Percy for still being in the tournament

Edward and Sofia whisper sweet words to each other

Charity, Linett and Jane couldn’t care less about the men.

They are perfectly happy in their corner

Sagitta, Agatha and Rose always love a dance party

Turns out, Elend is pretty good at playing the lute

Maximilien may be a cutie, but he is actually quite shy.

Tonight however, he found the courage to approach Rose

And another pairing is formed :)

In a true Family Sim fashion, Edward is already convinced that Sofia is the love of his life and wants to ask her hand in marriage.

However, it will have to wait until the end of the tournament.

Tomorrow, the second trial will begin!

And it’s a smashing victory for Percy! (Maybe his Hydrophobic trait was the strongest motivation to avoid falling over...)

It is now time for the second duel!

The First Trial

The tournament has officially begun!

It is now time for the first trial: log rolling duels!

The rules are simple :

- Two randomly selected candidate will face each other in a log rolling duel.

- The first one to attain two victories wins the duel

- The loser will be eliminated from the tournament and thus will become a peasant
