Dp prompt/idea: Draconic Curse

Maddie's side of the family was cursed a VERY long time ago. But only a few hundred years ago the curse stopped, and believed the curse ended.

in reality, the curse didn't have enough energy to continue.

But when the portal opened at last changed EVERYTHING.

First, Maddie noticed the scales around her waste and arms, and saw how her eyes slited, at least that was easy to hide.

But she noticed Jazz having too-sharp teeth, and when they thought Jazz needed glasses, she magically didn't need them anymore.

But Danny had the worst of it...

First the back pains. even when he tried to sleep his back would cause sharp pains.

When Maddie brought him to a doctor, said doctor couldn't find anything.

his teeth started to become too sharp, ears too pointed, and... He started to grow horns... And trying to hide them.

Then one day, Maddie heard her boy scream. and she bolted upstairs like a bat out of hell.

There she saw her son, with two giant. Black and white Draconic wings that had a green shimmer to the scales and membrane.

Cue Maddie comforting her son.

Camp Halfa AU: Jack & Maddie

It seems right that Danny or Tucker would make a joke about ghost hunters camping out at a haunted lake in place of a proper ghost hunter convention just for Jack and Maddie to take the suggestion seriously.

They start the planning over a year in advance. It starts with posting on their usual ghost hunting forums which turns into them starting a facebook group for anyone interested in it and for hunters to share information on haunted spots and their processes for preparing for the camp out. By the time the event happens, there are hunters planning to come out from all over the country, some to stay for a handful days, some for the whole summer like the Fentons.

So it's a blessing and a curse to find out about Danny being half ghost just a few months before they're going to be surrounded by ghost hunters.

But Fentons are crafty and they adjust.

A nifty little wrist device is enough to hide Danny's ecto-signature from any ghost hunting weapons or trackers. With Vlad's setup towering over their own campsite, they can create a safe space for Danny (and the cousin/clone plus Vlad and also Valerie who also sometimes sets off their inventions? They'll be investigating that too).

All the lectures and activities they were going to force Danny to attend become optional, some even forbidden just in case. And for where they weren't able to prepare, they're able to intervene. As leading experts in the field, it's encouraged that they check out every new invention, tweaking things and giving advice for improvement. If some of their tweaks include a line of code to make certain ecto-signatures "invisible" that's nothing anyone has to know about.

You know what I want to read? A demon Shane angst where he gets a nightmare of when he fell and like it's so vivid that like it really messes with him. Like, he can't bring himself to be his normal cynical self, so eventually Ryan gets worried and calls him and checks in him.

Shane doesn't want Ryan knowing he's a demon, because obviously, so he kinda just says that he's sick.

After another day or so, getting the same nightmare everytime he sleeps, he HAS to tell someone. So, he tells Ryan about the dream, but saying that he's dreaming that he's an Angel who's falling instead of telling Ryan immediately.

Ryan eventually prices it together, and then whatever the author decides should happen next happens.

Okay, regular demon Shane bullshit EXCEPT we get to see what his life is like after Ryan dies because he's immortal and Ryan was a human.

Other demons use Ryan to mess with Shane, maybe creating fake mirages of him or whatever to be like "ha ha you fell in love with a human!" BUT THEN (for some reason) Ryan actually does get resurrected! He doesn't know what's going on and he's scared and maybe initially Shane thinks it's another mean fake thing and is a dick to him but then feels incredibly guilty upon realizing the actual situation. AND Ryan gets upset because Shane is like, in shambles, he's mean and bitter and not at all like how Ryan remembers and Shane has to deal with the realization that he's completely lost himself!!

Bonus angst! Ryan died BECAUSE of Shane. Like during some demon altercation thing idk

Need help finding a demon Shane fic (FOUND thank you!!)

I’m not sure if this is the right way to ask, but I’ve been trying to find a demon!shane fic I read a few years back. It was either here or on Ao3 and I’ve looked both places. The basics of the plot are as follows:

Shane gets into some kind of accident. He’s on life support/in a coma and when Ryan comes to visit in the hospital he hitches a ride home in Ryan’s body. Ryan is unaware of this for a while because Shane is so weak.

Shane starts spooking Ryan a little bit so he can feed on the fear and then after a while he makes himself known. I forget a lot of what happens in here, but eventually Ryan sits down and even though Shane says it’s not a great idea for his energy levels he manifests in front of Ryan.

From there I also forget a lot of what happens but there is a later scene of them at a farm of some sort. Ryan is taking Shane there to go to the haunted house and get a buffet of fear essentially.

There’s a scene after this of Ryan coming to at a bench/table and getting something to drink because he feels drained. Shane is trying to make sure they both get taken care of but his body’s time in the hospital is running out.

I don’t remember a whole lot of the ending but I remember it was sweet (I think). Hopefully someone out there remembers this fic and can point me in the right direction. I’ve been driving myself crazy trying to find this. Sorry if this is a rambling explanation.

It’s rare to see an angel’s wings.

This has been common knowledge since people knew about the existence of angels. They would always hide their wings and their halos. Their halos were simply too bright to look at; people would go blind. And their wings were too fragile to be even seen by a person. The wings of an angel tell you a lot about them. The more black feathers they have, the more they have sinned. The more feathers they have lost, the more they got hurt. A bigger and more noble pair of wings meant that the angel was higher ranked. This of course did not mean that an eminent angel’s wings could not have black, broken or lost feathers. Some with the brightest, shiniest, almost golden feathers have the deep-darkest black feathers. The more elevated the angel is, the more frivolous they are as a demon. A good angel makes a bad demon.

While people know that angels exist and walk among them, it is difficult to spot one. Unless they decide that someone is worthy, they will hide their identity.

It seemed like Shane was finally selected to see an angel’s wings, although he wished the circumstances were different. He really wished that Ryan wasn’t risking his life right now, and therefore had to get rid of his cover. And he really wished he wouldn’t have to do this next.

Okay so it turns out that Danny Phantom was the worst possible old show to get a sudden and inexplicable hyperfixation on, because apparently the fandom's been going full tilt since 2004.

Usually when I get a hyperfixation outta nowhere for a completed series, I spend a week, maybe two going through old fanfiction and fanart, and then I burn through what's left, and then I'm done.

Danny Phantom has a pile of fanfiction and fanart that's been growing steadily since, and I cannot emphasize this enough, 2004, and there are still people putting out multiple things every single day. I'm already like 20 AUs in and I've been up till 2:00am every single night this week because I've found a new enormous fascinating fanfic that was so good I could not physically make myself sleep until I finished it.
