Test backgrounds!

These are mostly just for color testing for the upcoming scenes, and so aren't full detail Some things that are missing are items from the shelves in the first image, and ofc the poster in the second (And there are a LOT of posters in this building, so I inadvertently gave myself more work 😭)

But in other news I also finally finished the 3d model for the arcade! It's not textured, because I only need it as a reference for myself But I did it! All the items are also modelled by me :^)

CHAPTER 2!!!!!

I'm so incredibly excited to start thumbnailing this!! I'm SUPER CLOSE to being able to start! I only have the full script and some color testing left, as well as o n e ref you'll get to see eventually :^)

Instagram wanted me to post the comic refs when I asked a while back, so why not post to multiple places? :^)

I'm gonna be separating all of them into chapters they appear, so here's the first batch!

They're also subject to heavy change and updates in the future, so there might be more posts of them with different designs and updated color info, but for now here they are :^)

There's some stuff I still need to do before I can upload to tapas and webtoon but hey, found out where I ended up putting the cover art I made way back when

(talking about the tags on previous post) Asked around with some friends and came to the conclusion that yeah, I'll definitely have to censor a lot of upcoming scenes when publishing to Webtoons. Tapas I think I'll be fine on, but definitely not Webtoons

This means the Webtoon release will be very heavily censored when it eventually comes to it

The comic will still exist in its full glory on Comicfury though, and it will still be my priority site (since I'm still so unsure how the other sites work with chapters/episodes)

Anyway, that's all I had to say, it's more so I remember

#I had a vague memory of making accounts on both sites and going to create the comic on both as well #turns out I was right for at least tapas #Gonna need to remake the cover art and then I'll be uploading to both these sites #Another thing to note though is I have the warnings that I do for a reason on the comic #I'm not entirely sure I'll be allowed to show in full what I want to on either site #at least webtoon guaranteed that I wont be able to #I think they'd smite my ass immediately the moment we get to the actual horrible parts #this means I'd have to censor a lot on these sites #The comic will always exist in full and uncensored on comicfury #and if comicfury takes me down then I'll find another site to host me #but either way I'll figure it out I hope #I've known about this since 2021 so I'm not too surprised about it

So, now that Chapter 1 is done, what's next?

First, I'd like to extend to not only have Windflower on Comicfury, but also on platforms like Tapas and Webtoon!

The thing that's been stopping me before this is me not knowing how either sites work, since they both use episode systems and not chapters (Though I've been told episodes work just like chapters), as well as the awkward sizing for both sites. My pages are too short to post individually, so I'll have to figure out how to combine multiple into one big page

I do have the comic names coined on both sites though (I'm pretty sure at least) because I tried both two years or so back

Another thing I'd like to do is make some actual cover art, because for whatever reason I never uploaded the cover I made a year back and looking at it now I'm not the biggest fan of it. An updated icon would also be nice, as well as some other miscellaneous art to use here and there

I also have plans on opening the askbox on this profile at some point! What characters you will be able to ask things will be limited to start, but I think it'd be fun to answer any questions I might not get to in the actual comic

Outside of all this, I still have character ref sheets to finish up and the rest of the writing on chapter 2. Who knows, maybe I'll also make a few info cards on each of the characters?

Either way, there's a lot to come and I'm very excited to work on all of it <3
