you literally do not have to think about your identity all that much

#i think my greatest search for identity was actually a search for a life where i dont think about it at all #spending all this time deliberating how i exist especially in the context of other people and their understanding of me #instead of just existing

a thing about me is that i'll swing from being quite grounded, at peace and emotionally secure to like ... very avoidantscaredexhausted every now and then and i want to go into a hole. its frustrating bc i kno i've worked hard to get out of having that world view, and i kno this isn't me, but i think i just gotta accept and forgive that this comes in phases.

UNFORTUNATELY this phase hits as im once again prepping for the busiest weekend of my life and i literally can not get out of any of these enormous social plans. i've canceled every single thing i could, and yet my weekend is still completely packed, and im feeling cynical and self-loathing lol. WHICH IS BORING!!

i genuinely feel like i go to underground parties/night clubs the way ppl step into a spa or smthg like i just feel immediate peace wash over me. i can be sober too its just dark and full of strangers all doing the same activity and 1 big loud music and its fine if ur a bit weird or offputting bc everyone is being weird

#i love parties i feel free to be weird and socially tactless and friendly to everyone and meet new friends and hear new music #and jump around like a chihuahua #and look at people's outfits #i love underground parties ppl are dressed to kill and i have an outlet for my fashion hobby #i love them too bc it feels like these little secret communities everyone has the same goal of Having FUN
