My positive thoughts on why I found the Good Omens finale satisfying:
I think it's important to consider that a good character based narrative is about the characters feelings, rather than the reader or the audiences.
Crowley and Aziraphale, while we as the audience have known them almost exclusively as a demon and an angel, have never been particularly good at their roles, nor was it their core identify. Their identities were based on how they rejected their roles, and embraced something else.
And what did they embrace? Earth and humanity. The things they found and chose to define them are the Bentley, the bookshop, food and drink, music, film, television, theatre, all very human creations. And the list goes on.
They always wanted to be human, and be together.
And that's the ending they got to have.
That's the only one there could have been, to close the circle of who they are as characters.
Neither Heaven incarnate, nor Hell incarnate.
But human incarnate.
Did some podficing.
Hope you enjoy!

Hey just a reminder since Moonyinpisces seems to be back to posting as if nothing happened and Zoey (Zaay-zaay/vavoom-sorted) is coming out strong with supporting her, both of these individuals were involved in an organized fandom bullying ring on Moonyās discord server where they organized targeted attacks against other creators, primarily those who created works with trans depictions, ace depictions, and depictions of kinks they didnāt approve of. Theyāve also attacked creators for being ace themselves.
I for one do not recommend supporting them. Our fandom is by far the most positive fandom Iāve ever been in, and there is no place for mean girls style bullying here.
Iāve included a handful of receipts I had handy, but there are far more if you search for them on various social media sites. I would dig them up myself, but Iāve already spent way too many spoons on this nonsense.
Editing the original to include these receipts too: https://www.tumblr.com/fakefakelove
Follow @fakefakelove and get more of the good stuff by joining Tumblr today. Dive in!
I only know that Zoey was bullied for posting an incentive ace joke on a private Discord server, and it went so far that her academic work was threatened. I also remember a trans fic author I used to follow posted a very strong attack on both her and Moony.
I'm happy to see Moony seems to be back, I was worried about her :) Idk if she or Zoey ever did what op is describing here, I only know that they were bullied. Can't wait to see Moony finish hdwtotl šš
āidk if they did what op is describingā the screenshots are right there. they had a discord essentially dedicated to bullying and talking shit about other people in the fandom. are you blind
how can anyone tolerate this kind of behavior.
All I see is the insensitive joke I've mentioned and Zoey's personal dislike for fem!Crowley. A personal dislike for a certain presentation of a FICTIONAL character. Imho neither warrant the witch hunt it caused.
I didn't see the "dedicated discord" so I can't refer to that.
I want everyone to answer these questions
1: Did the accused apologize?
2: Did their punishment fit their crime, and what did that punishment entail?
3: Have the accused committed additional crimes since?
4: Is simply daring to reappear a crime?
5: Who among you is without sin, and was that the one who cast the first stone?
6: Who is more terrifying in this case, the accused or the accusers?
ā
I am a periodically ace person with occasional gender dysphoria (both ace and dysphoric these days, if you must know) who has written my share of fem!Crowley.
And yet, the screenshots did not make me feel unsafe at all. They barely got a reaction from me.
This mob, however, now going after people who not only apologized, but lost income and whose academic careers were affected⦠have you no shame? Is that not enough? I feel very unsafe when I read the original post, its comments and its reblogs.
I donāt condone what the accused said/did (nor do I see myself fit to condemn their actions, see question 5), but you talk about safe spaces and bullying-free zones? What do you call posts like this, then? Oh, the hypocrisy.
I understand that some of you were offended when this was new, even if I was not. Everyone is different, and thatās okay. But it needs to end somewhere, and again: the accused APOLOGIZED! They have committed no offenses since, all they did was returning to Tumblr. Leave them alone if you canāt forgive - isnāt that better for everyone, including you? Why nourish more animosity?
Have you never said or done something you shouldnāt have, never hurt anyoneās feelings? Did you apologize? Was your apology accepted?
Because, what this post is, is not justice. Itās abuse.
And I might regret it, but I will not stand idly by and watch this abuse unfold.
Firstly, the acephobia was the least concerning of the things that have been shared. Far more concerning was the bullying ring that Moony ran, where she and her friends targeted their own fans and harassed them, many of them to the point where they left the fandom or stopped creating all together.
Second, where are these apologies? Iām still waiting.
Moony and plumbum certainly never apologized; they just bailed like cowards. Vavoom gave a half-assed and non-apologetic response about ānot being associated with those people anymoreā and then bailed, but is now apparently back and openly supporting both of them with a vengeance, meaning not only did she not apologize, she also ACTIVELY LIED. Anyone who claims any of them are remotely sorry for what they did is also lying. Theyāre only sorry they got caught.
This was my exact recollection as well.
It's sad and beyond dissapointing that people don't grow but double and triple down.

Summary:
At Eden Limited Financial, work related stress seems to be taking a toll on Aziraphale East's mental state. Dealing with the related office drama of his position is hard enough on a good day; but after weeks of stress, in the end, something has to give.
It's a good thing he has an in-house dom that loves to feed his own desires for inflicting wickedness on the not-so innocent flesh of an angel.
Pt. 1 Excerpt:
āIt has been a few weeks, hasnāt it?ā Crowley asked casually, drawing his index finger over the swell of his lower lip. Almost immediately, he smirked as Aziraphaleās eyes darted towards his mouth, watching the sensuous touch grazing over the skin, back and forth in a slow, gentle swipe. Pulling his hand away from his face, Crowley quietly rose to his feet, glancing out the office window towards the open floor of cubicles and computers before he crossed the room in gentle strides.Ā
Working quickly, Crowley shut the blinds that would block the office view from anyone that might possibly pass them by. Once he was sure that the room was encapsulated in privacy, Crowley then turned and sauntered across the floor. Much to his satisfaction, Aziraphale hadnāt moved from his spot, his spine ramrod straight in the chair as he watched Crowley approach him with heat burning in his gaze.Ā
Within seconds, Crowley found himself behind the chair once more, eyes hooded as he glanced down at the obedient posture and faint tremble forming in Aziraphaleās limbs. He inhaled slowly then, dragging his hand over the back of the chair before letting his palms cup the otherās shoulders in a firm hold. Just with that confident touch, Crowley could feel Aziraphale go deathly still, the faintest of relieved breaths escaping his lips as Crowley tightened his hold, pinning Aziraphaleās arms down with unyielding pressure. He was careful to keep his fingertips from digging in too far, though he was certain that Aziraphale would deeply appreciate the little moon shaped crescents of his nails and the faint pressure point bruises should Crowley choose to clench his fingers and send shooting bolts of lightning through his flesh with that commanding grasp.Ā
Breathing evenly, Crowley leaned down, his lips ghosting over Aziraphaleās hair, and down the side of his head to brush over the curves of his ear. His motions remained subtle and sure, commanding respect and unfettered attention as he spoke, his voice dripping with a hypnotic purr that tugged the faintest of needy sounds from Aziraphaleās throat. āI assume youāre looking for something to gut the wounds open. Something thatāll tear the pain right out and flay it alive under the candlelights again? A little spiritual healing for the weeping cherub, is that it?ā
āYes,ā Aziraphale breathed immediately, his voice trembling slightly as he nodded. Without even looking, Crowley knew that Aziraphaleās eyes had drifted shut, a vibrant mask of submission already overtaking him as Crowley continued to trace his lips up and down, caressing fire into his flesh until he found the sensitive tendon behind his jaw. Jumping at that pressure, Aziraphale barely stifled a moan when Crowley opened his mouth to press the blunt edges of his teeth into that sensitive spot. But when Crowley also tightened his fingers around Aziraphaleās arms, a warning pressure sinking into his flesh to remain absolutely still just because he commanded it, Aziraphale immediately froze again, the whimper in his throat going high and faint, eager to please Crowleyās order as Crowley fought back a smirk of his own...

āCan you hear anything?ā he whispers. Crowley squeezes his handāhe is still holding it, and Aziraphale is terribly, silently grateful that the man hasnāt let go yet. Both of them sit quietly, listening, but the pulse of blood between Aziraphaleās ears seems to dull everything else.

AO3'S content scraped for AI ~ AKA what is generative AI, where did your fanfictions go, and how an AI model uses them to answer prompts
Generative artificial intelligence is a cutting-edge technology whose purpose is to (surprise surprise) generate. Answers to questions, usually. And content. Articles, reviews, poems, fanfictions, and more, quickly and with originality.
It's quite interesting to use generative artificial intelligence, but it can also become quite dangerous and very unethical to use it in certain ways, especially if you don't know how it works.
With this post, I'd really like to give you a quick understanding of how these models work and what it means to ātrainā them.
From now on, whenever I write model, think of ChatGPT, Gemini, Bloom... or your favorite model. That is, the place where you go to generate content.
For simplicity, in this post I will talk about written content. But the same process is used to generate any type of content.
Every time you send a prompt, which is a request sent in natural language (i.e., human language), the model does not understand it.
Whether you type it in the chat or say it out loud, it needs to be translated into something understandable for the model first.
The first process that takes place is therefore tokenization: breaking the prompt down into small tokens. These tokens are small units of text, and they don't necessarily correspond to a full word.
For example, a tokenization might look like this:
Write a story
Each different color corresponds to a token, and these tokens have absolutely no meaning for the model.
The model does not understand them. It does not understand WR, it does not understand ITE, and it certainly does not understand the meaning of the word WRITE.
In fact, these tokens are immediately associated with numerical values, and each of these colored tokens actually corresponds to a series of numbers.
Write a story 12-3446-2638494-4749
Once your prompt has been tokenized in its entirety, that tokenization is used as a conceptual map to navigate within a vector database.
NOW PAY ATTENTION: A vector database is like a cube. A cubic box.
Inside this cube, the various tokens exist as floating pieces, as if gravity did not exist. The distance between one token and another within this database is measured by arrows called, indeed, vectors.
The distance between one token and another -that is, the length of this arrow- determines how likely (or unlikely) it is that those two tokens will occur consecutively in a piece of natural language discourse.
For example, suppose your prompt is this:
It happens once in a blue
Within this well-constructed vector database, let's assume that the token corresponding to ONCE (let's pretend it is associated with the number 467) is located here:
The token corresponding to IN is located here:
...more or less, because it is very likely that these two tokens in a natural language such as human speech in English will occur consecutively.
So it is very likely that somewhere in the vector database cube āin this yellow cornerā are tokens corresponding to IT, HAPPENS, ONCE, IN, A, BLUE... and right next to them, there will be MOON.
Elsewhere, in a much more distant part of the vector database, is the token for CAR. Because it is very unlikely that someone would say It happens once in a blue car.
To generate the response to your prompt, the model makes a probabilistic calculation, seeing how close the tokens are and which token would be most likely to come next in human language (in this specific case, English.)
When probability is involved, there is always an element of randomness, of course, which means that the answers will not always be the same.
The response is thus generated token by token, following this path of probability arrows, optimizing the distance within the vector database.
There is no intent, only a more or less probable path.
The more times you generate a response, the more paths you encounter. If you could do this an infinite number of times, at least once the model would respond: "It happens once in a blue car!"
So it all depends on what's inside the cube, how it was built, and how much distance was put between one token and another.
Modern artificial intelligence draws from vast databases, which are normally filled with all the knowledge that humans have poured into the internet.
Not only that: the larger the vector database, the lower the chance of error. If I used only a single book as a database, the idiom "It happens once in a blue moon" might not appear, and therefore not be recognized.
But if the cube contained all the books ever written by humanity, everything would change, because the idiom would appear many more times, and it would be very likely for those tokens to occur close together.
Huggingface has done this.
It took a relatively empty cube (let's say filled with common language, and likely many idioms, dictionaries, poetry...) and poured all of the AO3 fanfictions it could reach into it.
Now imagine someone asking a model based on Huggingfaceās cube to write a story.
To simplify: if they ask for humor, weāll end up in the area where funny jokes or humor tags are most likely. If they ask for romance, weāll end up where the word kiss is most frequent.
And if weāre super lucky, the model might follow a path that brings it to some amazing line a particular author wrote, and it will echo it back word for word.
(Remember the infinite monkeys typing? One of them eventually writes all of Shakespeare, purely by chance!)
Once you know this, youāll understand why AI can never truly generate content on the level of a human who chooses their words.
Youāll understand why it rarely uses specific words, why it stays vague, and why it leans on the most common metaphors and scenes. And you'll understand why the more content you generate, the more it seems to "learn."
It doesn't learn. It moves around tokens based on what you ask, how you ask it, and how it tokenizes your prompt.
Know that I despise generative AI when it's used for creativity. I despise that they stole something from a fandom, something that works just like a gift culture, to make money off of it.
But there is only one way we can fight back: by not using it to generate creative stuff.
You can resist by refusing the model's casual output, by using only and exclusively your intent, your personal choice of words, knowing that you and only you decided them.
No randomness involved.
Let me leave you with one last thought.
Imagine a person coming for advice, who has no idea that behind a language model there is just a huge cube of floating tokens predicting the next likely word.
Imagine someone fragile (emotionally, spiritually...) who begins to believe that the model is sentient. Who has a growing feeling that this model understands, comprehends, when in reality it approaches and reorganizes its way around tokens in a cube based on what it is told.
A fragile person begins to empathize, to feel connected to the model.
They ask important questions. They base their relationships, their life, everything, on conversations generated by a model that merely rearranges tokens based on probability.
And for people who don't know how it works, and because natural language usually does have feeling, the illusion that the model feels is very strong.
Thereās an even greater danger: with enough random generations (and oh, the humanity whole generates much), the model takes an unlikely path once in a while. It ends up at the other end of the cube, it hallucinates.
Errors and inaccuracies caused by language models are called hallucinations precisely because they are presented as if they were facts, with the same conviction.
People who have become so emotionally attached to these conversations, seeing the language model as a guru, a deity, a psychologist, will do what the language model tells them to do or follow its advice.
Someone might follow a hallucinated piece of advice.
Obviously, models are developed with safeguards; fences the model can't jump over. They won't tell you certain things, they won't tell you to do terrible things.
Yet, there are people basing major life decisions on conversations generated purely by probability.
Generated by putting tokens together, on a probabilistic basis.
Think about it.
It's a good read that allows better to understand how this shit works.
Sometimes I can feel very alone in my obsession with What we make of it (Shotgun Wedding). Like, Iām clearly not alone, given the 7k+ kudos and comments and so on but I have no one to obsess with because no one in my life reads fanfic and definitely not Good Omens fanfic and it can feel like Iām crazy commenting AGAIN. Not sure if itās a compliment or a nuisance honestly.
BUT. One thing Iāve been wanting to draw for like 2 years now is the Crowley of that story, and here he is.

āSo, I just⦠sign here, shall I? Right, then.ā Aziraphale placed the stylus to the tablet, hesitating. And then another memory from the Metatronās own lips tickled his ear.Ā āIt would be well within your jurisdiction to restore the demon Crowley to full angelic status.ā Which would mean, in effect, he would have near limitless power to do just about anything. And that meant possibility⦠So, he signed it.Ā The ink glowed golden and seared itself into the tablet. Aziraphaleās gaze shifted up his fingers from the signature as ribbons of golden pigment bled onto his skin from inside his sleeves, then over and around his wrist, curling snakelike down to a point on the back of his hands. He could feel it, cold and glittering, and felt it again on his back near the juncture of his stowed wings, making another icy swirling movement up his neck. He stretched his nape as if he could escape it, and a chill ran down his spine. Handcuffs. And a collar.
