Summery: Dean’s blinded by fury as he sees Y/N with what he assumes is still a murderer. but when Dean does something so shocking that he causes emotional pain for his twin, he regrets his decision.
Paring: Bucky Barnes x Winchester!F!Reader
Characters: Y/N Winchester, Dean Winchester, Sam Winchester, Bucky Barnes, Steve Rogers, Tony Stark, Sam Wilson, FRIDAY & Dr. Cho.
Warnings: Dean’s a dick again, fighting, swearing, mentions of blood, gun use and lots of angst.
“What’s all the noise?” Bucky asked, as you two came out of your bedroom at the compound the next day.
“Y/N’s brothers have turned up,” Sam said a sense of urgency was in his tone.
You knew how bad Dean could get when he wanted to be. He could get really fucking scary. This was going to be the worst you’ve seen him. You weren’t looking forward to it.
You gripped Bucky’s hand as you both went to the main area of the compound.
“YOU TOOK MY SISTER WHEN I CLEARLY TOLD HER SHE COULDN’T COME HERE ANYMORE!” Dean screamed at Tony.
“YOUR SISTER IS A GROWN WOMAN WHO SHOULDN’T BE TREATED LIKE A CHILD!” Tony screamed at Dean.
“Bucky’s my friend. He wouldn’t hurt a single person,” Steve snapped, feeling protective over his friend.
“Up yours, Cap!” Dean screamed.
“Dean! Please!” Sam Winchester begged as you, Bucky and Sam Wilson entered the room.
“GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM MY SISTER!” Dean screamed when he saw you holding hands with Bucky.
“Dean, please,” you said fearfully, hiding behind Bucky.
“You need to calm down, Dean. When you said-“ Sam Winchester said firmly, grabbing Dean’s shoulder.
“Get off me, Sam. You, missy. Are coming with me,” Dean shouted, hitting Sam away then going over to you and grabbing your arm.
“She’s not going anywhere where she’s not safe,” Tony said firmly as Steve gently shoved Bucky aside while Dean prayed you off him with great force.
“You can shut up. You’re the reason she’s in danger. You and this freak show,” Dean snapped, gripping your arm making you cry out in pain.
“What did you call him?” Steve seethed, standing in front of Bucky who was utterly helpless, pleading at you, almost believing Dean.
“Dean, let go. You’re hurting me,” you said tearfully, trying to get his hand off your forearm.
“Shut up. Sam. Get her in the car right now,” Dean snapped, shoving you towards the door.
“No! I don’t wanna go back with you! You ass!” You snapped, biting Dean’s hand so he’d let go of you.
Dean’s face turned red as you ran towards safety. The avengers.
“We can talk about this. Figure something out,” Sam Winchester pleaded, he hated seeing his big sister so hurt.
You gripped hold of Bucky who had a tight hold on you too. He held you close. You watched in horror as your twin went ballistic against the avengers.
“Y/N. Go to your room, lock yourself in,” Bucky said gently pushing you down the corridor.
“No! Someone could get hurt and it’s all my fault! I’ll go back with Dean and Sam back to the bunker. Please. I don’t want anyone getting hurt!” You cried, gripping Bucky’s hands, as your twin and your best friends fought each other in the background.
“GET YOUR HANDS OFF MY SISTER!” Dean screamed, pushing Tony aside and running over to you.
“DEAN! DON’T DO ANYTHING STUPID!” Sam Winchester shouted.
Bucky stood in front of you then you heard a sound you didn’t think you’d hear. Dean had shot Bucky. You stood there in horror. You didn’t let Bucky fall to the ground, you held him and fell with him.
“DEAN YOU FUCKING ASS!” You screamed tearfully at Dean who stood there in shock.
You held Bucky close as Steve ran to Bucky.
“He’s bleeding too much!” You sobbed, trying to get the blood to stop flowing.
“Buck. Buddy? Stay with us,” Steve pleaded. “Y/N. Help me carry him?” He begged you.
You nodded tearfully. Once Dean had calmed down and saw how well loved Bucky was and how much he meant to you, Dean regretted his decision.
“Y/N. Please. Cap, let me-“ Dean said tearfully as the look of pain and worry on your face caused Dean’s heart to break.
“It’s Captain. To you. Stay out of our way, you’ve done enough,” Steve snapped as you both gently lifted Bucky up.
“Y/N!” Dean called after you, Tony stopped him.
“GET THE FUCK OUT DEAN!” You screamed back at him.
“FRIDAY. Are our cells open?” Tony asked the AI.
“Yes sir,” the AI replied.
“You two are coming with me,” Tony said, grabbing Dean and shoving him aside.
“Please I wanna be in there with him!” You begged Cho as she gently helped you and Steve lie Bucky on a stretcher.
“I’m sorry, Miss Winchester. You know that’s not allowed,” Cho said gently.
Steve wrapped his arm around you and gently pulled you away.
“I’m sorry, Steve. This is all my fault. You’re gonna lose your best friend again,” you sobbed, clutching Steve.
“No. It’s not your fault. Not in the slightest,” Steve said gently, rubbing your back.
You two waited until you were allowed to see Bucky. It was an agonising wait and you both felt sick.
“You’re our friend, sweetheart. Our best friend. You can stay here and away from your brothers for as long as you need,” Steve said after a painful silence.
“…thank you, Steve,” you managed to choke out.
You two stayed in each other’s anxious grip as you waited for Bucky.
