I have now begun to read Project Hail Mary. I haven’t watched the movie, but I’m curious possibly just because of the sheer volume of PHM content that has been on my tumblr feed recently. Wish me luck! I’ll reblog periodically with thoughts.

Also, the part where he went I’m single I don’t have kids, but I really like kids. I don’t like where this is going. Oh thank God I’m a teacher. That was hilarious.

I like that he was all prepared to go back to his regular life but then explaining the problem to his students and seeing the way their fear disappeared when he mentioned the 30 year time scale made him realize what was going to happen to them. And so he begs for a chance to keep working on the problem. This is interesting cause he keeps describing himself as not very important and saying that “real” scientists should be working on the problem with him, but is still insistent on trying to solve the problem even when he has every chance to return to his normal.

Ok, so he’s still a bit bitter that the alien astrophages proved his theory wrong, but he’s still working diligently.

Another design is using 2 20x25x1 filters, taping them to the sides of the box fan and then to each other so they sort of make a triangle, then cutting cardboard to make a top and bottom to the triangle.

I’ve personally used both the flat single-filter version AND the triangular two-filter version, and based on subjective personal experience I would argue that the benefits from the second filter, both in terms of airflow and filtration, are absolutely worth it. If you need a makeshift air filter and you have two filters to work with, build the triangle (if not the box, i have no idea how good that one works but based on the info here i presume it’s a fair bit better.)

Imma be honest. I did not predict this finale, like, at all. So...let's see how this goes!

At Ch 370 but now I'm imagining Soleum's deteriorating state of being transforming into a newly made Yellow Dragon.

Like, that is the persona that was strongest behind his humanity, right. So when he sacrifices that humanity to use the Edit Ability, what surges to the forefront is the actual Dragon. And not the Mascot version, but the Real one. The one whose pieces made him anew. And with stealing back from Cheong (and more) , and perhaps with a bit of blessing from the newly revived Azure Dragon, he is now a Golden Dragon.

His ability to process and communicate and understand as a human dwindle rapidly, ofc. But now there's the Azure Dragon rounding him up as it's newly hatched child, and the Agents desperately attempting to make a connection with him as they do with other powerful folklore creatures. Perhaps attempting to steadily reconnect a bit of humanity in him.

For a moment there I had the foolish hope that the Blue Dragon had showed up. Too bad those hopes were dashed so quickly.
