“y’know, i don't know if you've ever looked up the term ‘goofing around’ in the dictionary… well, i have, and the technical definition is, two friends who care a lot about each other and have amazing sex and just wanna spend more time together. but if you have this new fangled dictionary that gets you mad at me, then we have to, y'know, get you my original dictionary.”
I'm really not sure. There are a lot of canon-based fics where Jon and Sansa are cousins and also half-siblings. But there are also a lot of AU fics/graphics - such as the picspams I create - where they are not related. I think it's personal preference really.
Sansa looked down at the paper in Val’s hand, brows knitted in confusion. “What?”
“So you can wipe the drool off your chin.”
She felt her cheeks heat up. “Am I really that obvious?”
“Uh, yeah. You look like you’re ready to attack him.”
Sansa’s face was bright red now. She thought her staring had been discreet but clearly she was wrong. Maybe a cook-out with all of Jon’s co-workers wasn’t the best place to lust over him. Especially when Val was around, who loved nothing more than to tease people mercilessly.
“I don’t know what’s going on with me lately. It’s been five months since I had Cara, and all I want is for him to drag me into the back seat and impregnate me all over again.” She sighed, heavily. “It’s his fault. He’s just so hot.”
Val laughed loudly, clearly amused by Sansa’s plight.
“You know, Jon always used to tell me that you aren’t as prudish as you seem, but I didn’t believe him until now.” She smirked. “You need to get laid, girl.”
Sansa snorted. “Oh, believe me – I’m getting laid.”
Val raised her eyebrows, a smirk pulling at her lips. “Is that right?”
Damnit, she always said too much around Val. “Oh, shut up,” she snapped with a roll of her eyes, as she spotted Jon heading their way.
“You hungry?” Jon asked.
He was staring down at them on the picnic blanket, baby resting on his shoulder, and from her spot on the ground Sansa could see a small strip of skin where his t-shirt didn’t quite reach his jeans. Nice.
She stood to meet him, one hand automatically coming to rest on Cara’s back, the other sliding around his waist.
“Nope, I’m good.”
Jon smiled and leaned forward to kiss her, expecting something chaste considering their present company. But Sansa had other plans and slipped him some tongue, smiling when he made a little appreciative groan.
“Gross.” Val stood as well, pretending to gag as they pulled away from each other. “You’re dad fetish is out of control, San.”
Sansa didn’t think her face could be more red but she never should have underestimated Val’s ability to embarrass her, with her inappropriate comments.
“Will you shut up?”
Val laughed it off, patting Jon on the shoulder as she passed him. “And I’m out of here. Later, Snow.”
Jon turned to Sansa, clearly amused but also confused by their exchange.
“What was that about? ‘Dad fetish’?”
“Oh, God.” Sansa ran her hand down her face. “Ignore her. She doesn’t know what she’s talking about.” Sansa turned her attention to the sleepy baby on Jon’s shoulder, pressing a soft kiss to her curly hair. “Are you tired, sweetheart? Do you want to take a nap on the blanket with mama?”
Jon ran his hand along her back. “I think she does. Mind if I join you?”
Sansa smiled up at her boyfriend and kissed him again – a peck, this time. “Of course not.”
They settled down on the blanket, Cara stretched out between them, her heavy eyelids already fluttering closed. It had been a warm afternoon and the heat had clearly wiped her out, drawing her into a deep sleep. Sansa watched, strangely fascinated, as her daugher’s tiny body rose and fell with her steady breaths.
“She’s incredible,” Jon murmured, before suddenly looking embarrassed. He had propped his head up on his hand, his gaze similarly fixed on Cara. “I mean, I know she’s just a baby, but… she’s really amazing.”
“I know what you mean.” Sansa smiled softly. “I’m sure all parents think their baby is the best baby in the world, but ours really is. Just look at her! So damn cute.”
Jon laughed. “She takes after her mom. What did you expect?”
Sansa groaned. “Dude, will you stop?”
“What?”
“The whole ‘amazing dad-perfect boyfriend routine’. It’s driving me crazy.”
Jon smirked. “Is it? I haven’t noticed.”
She scowled at him before reaching over Cara to slap his shoulder.
“You sneaky bastard! You’ve known all along.”
“About your – How did Val put it? – ‘Dad fetish’?” He laughed. “Of course I have. You haven’t exactly been subtle, Sansa. Or do I need to remind you what happened at your parent’s last week?”
She blushes as the memory of her pinning Jon up against their car when they left the house, so in love with the way he had cuddled and kissed Cara as they said their goodbyes. It had been hard leaving their daughter overnight for the first time, but after weeks of watching Jon play the World’s Greatest – and Hottest – Dad, Sansa had been excited about spending some time alone with Jon… and may have asked him to pull over to a secluded spot on the way to their date.
“Hey, don’t be embarrassed about it.” Jon brushed a piece of hair behind her ear, his smirk fading into a soft smile. “You drive me crazy, too.”
She grinned, suddenly smug. “Really?”
“Yeah! Your body is even more amazing, now. Those hips… and your boobs.” He wiggled his eyebrows, earning him another slap to the shoulder.
“Stop being gross,” she scolded, even as she giggled.
They settled back down, Sansa running her hand through Cara’s hair, in awe of the softness. “I want another baby.”
Jon’s eyebrows shot up. “Now?”
“No… not yet. Maybe in a year or two.” She looked up at him. “Do you?”
He nodded, eagerly. “Definitely. Although…” A pause. “I do wonder if this is just an elaborate ruse to exploit me for your fetish.”
Huffing, she dropped back onto the picnic blanket, annoyed but not really.
“Ugh. Way to ruin a moment, Jon. You’re the worst.”
He leaned over and kissed her forehead, trying to hide his smile.
“He and Sansa have never been close and there’s no natural ease between them, but before he can speak, she slips her hand into his and draws it into her lap, squeezing harder than he thought her graceful fingers could manage. He spends the first ten minutes of the service stiffly waiting to see if she’ll let go and when the jets roar overhead, he prays she won’t. She doesn’t.”
