so one of the modules that launched with unrealized realities is paprika's, which occurs in a flashforward in kazdel where she's now a teacher. and the kids there literally can't imagine a Kazdel that doesn't suffer air raids. and columbia has the most developed airforce we know of in AK. so. like. adds rather worrying context to tin man mentioning the kazdelian arts units when he brings up the foreign arts units used for the false flag attack.

tin man's casual disregard for the effect his actions will have on kazdel is really fascinating as a character; he identifies as a SARKAZ but not really a kazdelian, i suppose. which makes a lot of sense! he's old enough that he knows the FIRST kazdel, which was IN columbia! theresa and theresis's kazdel is NOT HIS KAZDEL. but then you've got the contrast with columbian sarkaz like vigna and paprika, who ultimately end up connecting more with kazdel as time goes on. fascinating depiction of immigrant identity, i suppose. made all the worse by the discussion in the module of many people LEAVING kazdel; tin man's war has driven his own people to become refugees once more. driving more sarkaz to become columbian. where, thanks to his warmongering, they will be treated as second-class citizens and likely driven to poverty, then crime, and then the frontier. but the Myriad Souls are now IN columbia thanks to Nasti; his identity as a Sarkaz is only STRENGTHENED by the destruction he wreaks upon his people. fuckin horrifying man.
