every time I see someone act rude, entitled or disrespectful towards a fanfic writer and/or the fics, I think the writer should be legally allowed to kill them

How I Organize Plots and Subplots

As an author with ADHD, I 'm always looking for new ways to get my jumbled ideas out on paper.

One way that has worked for me is creating a table (shown below the break):

In the header, I put the characters/the plot line, and then below, I write every major plot and what chapter they'd be in.

This is very helpful if you want to tell more than one story simultaneously.

I also highlight common plot events in the same color, so it's easy to see where my character's journeys intersect.

You can be as detailed or as vague as you want in the outline, but I recommend leaning on the more detailed side, as it helps with writer's block when it comes to actually writing the story.

I am neurodivergent-minded, so this might not make sense to everyone or for writer that just like to write with the flow. But I thought I'd share this anyway to help that one writer that's having trouble writing that first sentence.

Cool air hits his face as he scans the rooftop. It's empty. Silent except for his panting. He moves toward the flicker’s source, gun still drawn—then lowers it.

A mirror hangs from the wall, angled toward the diner window. A flashlight bounces light, mimicking a sniper lens. 

His jaw tightens.  

A flip phone is tied beside it, a note taped to the casing. Don’t disappoint me, Frank.

He yanks it free—then stills.

His eyes flick back to the mirror. The knot is loose. Sloppy. Rushed.

She’s still here. He looks up. Across the street, Jazmyn is already sitting with her legs dangling off the side of the building. She tilts her head, holding her hand up to her face. Call me.
