I saw a glow in the sky, so I drove down to the Inn at the Rustic Gate. I sensed something special happening in my spirit.  It wasn’t until I was in the middle of the field; I noticed that the Lord surrounded me on all four corners.   A storm brewing to my south, a cloud of fire to my north, a rainbow of promise to my east and color of splender in the west. I felt like I was the only person in the world that could see this all at once.  I felt chosen. <3

You can have the right camera, right location, right props, etc. but if you don't have a personality to bring out the client's best and make them comfortable being photographed, you've lost the shot.

It's about the experience, not just the photographer's experience, but how the client is experiencing the shoot. That's what brings out the wow factor of the portrait.
