Greetings all to the garden...

I'm Wisteria (They/he), or Wist for short! I'm a neurodivergent 21-year-old Political Science major whose main passion is art. I write everything from poems to short stories to novels. I love both nature and architecture photography. I largely consider myself a jack of all trades type, dabbling in whatever makes my queer little heart happy. I also love D&D, urban fantasy, queer romance, astronomy, and whimsy~ On this blog, you can expect to see posts related to mental health, writing, fantasy, romance, and any other interests on my mind that day. I’m writing this post with tears in my eyes from the intense pain she is experiencing. She has suffered from severe pain and multiple fainting spells over the past two weeks due to severe anemia and her inability to afford all the medications she needs because of their high cost. All she wishes for is to never faint again, so I hope you will stand by her and help her buy her medications quickly. Please donate.

Worse still, she is suffering from a severe decline in her health and significant difficulty with movement, as the pain and weakness have made it very hard for her to live a normal life. She needs urgent medical follow-up and continuous treatment to improve her condition, but the cost of treatment is extremely high and she cannot afford it. Now she cannot sleep properly due to constant pain, and she cannot afford the medications and painkillers that could relieve her because of their high prices.

Lost to Time and Out of Place: tell me bout the gays

The gays! The story takes place in a universe where accidental time travel was commonplace because of rifts and holes in the space time continuum.

Seth was a time traveler who upon going through a rift lost all memory of where he came from and who he was. Albin was the New York Temporal Displacement Agent who was in charge of helping displaced individuals get back to their times by finding essentially what are known as “Return Portals,” which are basically the Universe’s attempt at righting itself by providing a wormhole to send the time traveler back through. But when Albin attempted to do that, it didn’t work. Leaving the two of them to figure out how to get Seth home, all the while some mysterious group appears to be chasing Albin.

I made this using graphics available on Canva and images online. I did not draw or paint the wisteria flower on there though. But I have drawn wisteria with oil pastels before. It was not very good XDD

Signed, the Universe is a poetry collection of mine! All the poems are from the perspective of celestial bodies starting with the sun, going through all of the plants, including some dwarf planets, and a poem for asteroids and comets. It’s still a WIP because it needs a thorough editing session. I wrote it my first year of college and I was still very hesitant in my poetry writing.

I wanna know about the Something about Monsters Narrator!

The Something about Monsters narrator is a celestial, who takes on the role of observer of the Universe and knows absolutely everything. Well, absolutely everything except anything to do with death. They’re a bit of a tsundere (constantly complaining about humanity but then showing unavoidable fondness for us) and are pathetically pining over the celestial Death (who probably has the coolest design out of all of the Celestials in my head.)

But yeah. The Narrator makes the story function like the perspective is third person omniscient because they know everything and are constantly commenting on character’s thoughts or motives, but it’s always through their own perspective.

Haha yeah! The Revolutionaries was the series I always thought I’d be known for. I worked on it all of high school and a bit into my first year of college. It’s a side state of affairs, really. I took on way too much outside influence for the story and it ended up just not working how I wanted it to no matter how many times I tried. I still have so many draft attempts, world building stuff, and character information. A lot of it doesn’t hold up today though because I just wasn’t that good and did not do the groundwork required for the type of story I was writing.

But!!! Don’t fret, @alutiskyran (hi love <3) and I are planning on revamping it entirely to fit into The Heart of San Lobato in a Terry Pratchet esque universe.

The Werewolf’s Steeple: Cash is heavily based on the character Jim from Our Flag Means Death. He’s Puerto Rican because of Vico Ortiz.

Something about Monsters: The first third-person POV story I wrote. It barely counted because the Narrator was a character and had a lot of opinions.

The Revolutionaries: This was supposed to be my magnum opus until The Heart of San Lobato and the Werewolf’s Steeple.

Happy Worldbuilder Wednesday!

Across any of your stories, what's the piece of worldbuilding you're most proud of?

Happy very belated Worldbuilder Wednesday!!

That's an incredibly tough question to answer because, even though I really only write urban fantasy, I take great pride in integrating fantasy into the real world. I suppose the piece of worldbuilding I'm the most proud of right now would be the vampire lore for my WIP, The Heart of San Lobato. Full explanation under the cut for those who are interested!

Every vampire on Earth can be traced back to the original vampire whose name has been lost to time. But some French guy in the 1700s thought it would be fitting to call him Cain, and that name became the most popular in academia. Essentially, Cain committed an act that was the antithesis of human nature, so the story goes, and as such, he was cursed to become something entirely inhuman. However, he learned to tap into the power of this curse and warped it to give him eternal life and magic beyond the capacity of any witch. But even still, he was not satisfied. He took his twelve children and turned every single one as well, passing on the warped version of the curse. These twelve became known as the Ancient Ones. Cain disappeared, either imprisoned deep within the bowels of the Earth or killed in battle. No one really knows, and every Ancient One has a different story. Now these twelve remain as the most powerful vampires on Earth and are the roots of the twelve vampire bloodlines. This French guy sorted the Ancient Ones into four classifications based on their powersets: Pestilience, Famine, War, and Death. Each class has three bloodlines, named for their powersets. The twelve bloodlines are plague, zoonosis, pallor, hunger, starvation, rot, propaganda, savagery, recon (originally grief), memento, sleep, and seduction. Vampires can turn humans by injecting vampire magic through their fangs. However, the vampire magic gets weaker the further down the bloodline you go, so a vampire made by an Ancient One would be far more powerful than a vampire made by someone whose creator was made by an Ancient One.

Decided to dabble in some simply little art today. It’s been a while, so I decided to have some fun with it. ^^

Hey everybody,

So, I wanna be clear: I use this page to platform fundraisers specifically for people and causes of Black African descent. We often don't even consider that Black people exist across the globe, and have to deal with the same suffering and political conflicts in tandem with pre-existing antiblackness. Sudan, Congo, Haiti, Cuba, Palestine, etc. I want to use my position to amplify their voices, to give them the spotlight and space to be seen in a world that often neglects their existence.

That being said!

My peers (of all backgrounds) and I have been sharing fundraisers for Gaza for at least three years. And I recognize that that's a while, but folks being tired of hearing about it doesn't prevent suffering from occurring. It doesn't stop people from experiencing horrors under genocide. So often I get asked on my personal page, why no one is listening or helping, and I don't have anything to tell them. I don't know what to say anymore.

Because I see what they're saying, I do see how it feels like my peers and I are basically circling fundraisers between ourselves at this point. I see how the world treats them, and I don't know what more I could possibly say to convince people to care, after everything we've witnessed. What could I possibly say, if that's not enough?

We could use your help. But much more importantly, the people of Gaza could use your help! Even if you can't donate, reblog a campaign post shared by your peers every now and then. Pick one family's campaign and commit to sharing that one, if nothing else. Anything is better than nothing. Everybody on here claims to have some sort of marginalization and struggle that they wish to be witnessed and acknowledged, so I know you understand and empathize.

Anything is better than nothing, y'all. Please.

actually there's nothing wrong with being mentally ill. you can be narcissistic, you can be psychopathic, you can be delusional, you can be insane, you can be bipolar, you can be whatever the hell it is you are. you don't need to make your mental illness pretty to be worth being here. the fact that you've made it this far is amazing and you deserve happiness and I'm sorry that the world we're in is too ableist to recognize that.

Okay! I should be all caught up on every ask that was ordered. I apologize for the significant delay. I was hit by a series of health problems, including a stint in the ER and being bedridden. If I missed anyone, please, please let me know!!! I want to make sure everyone got what they asked for. I will probably do another ask-for-order at some point in the nearish future, but for everyone's sake, I will probably use preset questions based on each emoji.
