Making a Fairy Garden!🧚🏼♂️
I compiled a list of some tips and tricks of how to “make” a fairy garden and basically just a little list of ideas on what to put in your fairy garden and how to attract fairies. All of these are completely optional! All you need to attract fairies is to have open, honest, & good intentions and to believe so don’t feel like your garden or home needs these things. It’s all about your mindset and your intentions. The elemental realm is very magical and fun but it’s also something that you should have caution about. Remember to always be kind and respectful towards fairies and the elementals as a whole. Their purpose is to really protect and look after the environment and so try your best to keep up with your yard, be kind to animals and plants, and be kind to them as well. ♡✨
♡1. Fairy houses! All of these things are completely optional but my first tip is to have a little fairy home. You can find dedicated fairy garden houses in certain shops, online, I know they have them on Etsy, or you can make your own! Definitely don’t feel like you have to buy a house (although you can and they have so many beautiful options out there!) because you can always get crafty and make, paint, and decorate your own or you can simply buy a dollhouse from Walmart or a shop near you to dedicate for the fairies. They can be any size you want or feel is necessary. I think when you put fairy homes in a garden or somewhere in your yard/outside it’s like you’re welcoming fairies to come, feel comfortable, and relax as if they have a home there in your outside space and you’re really letting them know that you believe and respect their elemental work.
♡2. Plants & flowers! Already having a great landscape or garden to work with is always amazing and you might even already have fairies around if this is the case for you. They really love to take care of the environment so they’re naturally attracted to these beautiful outside environments and so having a couple plants, trees, flowers, bushes, full on gardens, etc is really great. Plant some trees, plants, or flowers if you’d like! Play around with the outside world and make it something beautiful and be respectful of the outside world. They are protecting and loving of nature so having these things will really bring them and them seeing you taking care of the earth will in turn attract them and learn to trust you. It doesn’t have to be a full on “fairyland” but even just planting a few flowers will be nice. It’s also important to clean up your garden. Get rid of weeds, trash, etc. they don’t like messy environments. Herbs and fruit/veggies are also really great to grow and have!
♡3. Shiny & Sparky! Fairies have been said to love shiny things and objects. They are very attracted to beautiful objects so fill your garden/flower pots/yard with shiny stones (you can even find these things at the dollar store), coins, gemstones, crystals, or even little mirrors are always great choices. Anything that’s small, dainty, and sparkly in some way is always really fun and great for them. If you have any pets/young children (lol) or anything in your yard/home that will eat these objects (this sounds strange but yes, unfortunately, this can happen and I’ve read and heard of cases like this) than I wouldn’t recommend putting them in the garden or in reach of young children or strange animals that like to eat these things lol.
♡4. Water! The elementals and fairies absolutely love water! I think it might be because it’s so earthy and natural and just really nice and cool for them. Having a bird bath, fish pond, or even filling up cute little pots/shells/cute items with water to place in the flower pots/garden is really great for them. There are so many creative little ways to incorporate water in your outside and garden spaces so definitely play around with that. Just make sure that the water is clean and is staying clean. Fairies, as I stated earlier, really don’t like gross/nasty/unkept spaces so make sure everything is fresh and clean and you’re taking care of things.
♡5. Garden accessories! As I’ve said already, fairies love shiny, welcoming, and beautiful things and so incorporating beautiful things to your garden/home/porch/yard like wind chimes, fairies welcome signs, fairy garden accessories like benches, beds, faux home decor, etc. are all really great. Having little figurines (especially of mythical creatures like unicorns or mermaids or insects like lady bugs and butterflies) are also really great. They are also quite fond of pathways made with stone, shells, etc. Things that kind of show you welcome and believe in fairies are always great choices. For instance, like I already said, you can have fairy welcome signs, figurines of fairies and mythical creatures, etc. are great to have to show your respect and belief in the fairies, elementals, and magic in itself.
♡6. Sweet stuff! Fairies are said to love gifts and sweet foods. Stuff like honey, sugar water, seeds, fruit, etc are really great to incorporate in your fairy garden spaces but just be mindful of animals and things like that so if you’re attracting animals you don’t want to attract with these things things than I don’t recommend putting them out there. Sugar water also helps to attract butterflies and fairies love butterflies so that’s always amazing to have. Having birdhouses, birdfeed, humming bird feeders, and birdhouses are also really great. Animals are very important to the elements so having butterflies, hummingbirds, etc around are always amazing and great for attracting them.
♡7. Flowers, Flowers, & Flowers! Fairies adore and love flowers and I know I already touched on this but I felt it was so important it deserved it’s own little section. Fairies are also very attracted to roses, honeysuckles (these are sweet things as well), snapdragons, lavender, bluebells, violets, foxglove (I read they like to hide in foxglove?), buttercups, ferns, etc. they really like a lot of vibrant and sweet flowers and flowers that have traditionally “beautiful” scents and looks.
♡8. No chemicals!! Fairies are very into natural things and beautiful things and as protectors and lovers of the environment, animals, and planets, using chemicals/pesticides and things that are harmful to planets or animals is just a really big no no. This will most likely just upset them and turn them away.
This is it for this post but I would like to just say that all (well, most if you want to include the no harm to the environment and no chemicals tip!) of these things are optional. You don’t have to have a huge fancy garden or home to attract fairies, intention is everything! Also make sure when you’re manifesting and attracting that your intentions are only for good fairies! There are mischievous or dark fairies out there and you don’t want to attract that into your home🧚🏼♂️
