Everything that kills me makes me feel alive. Everything that drowns me makes me wanna fly.
Um, are you okay?
Just perfect...
The mayor is dead... at an event to promote coexistence... with a note saying you shouldn't have trusted us. There are no leads as far as I can tell and certain people have been conveniently missing when it happened.
Just perfectly a-ok. (/ deep sigh ) ....
Finally I'm out of that...
Thank you, Captain obvious.
Like what?Pray tell what worse thing could happen now. I need to check on Grace and the rest of my pack. Have you seen one of them?
You're welcome.
Do you really want to know or is this like your first question? Grace? ... Grace Castell? ... Last I saw her she was with Bryan. Ah, guy with brown hair, about ye high. As for the rest of your pack, I couldn't say. (/ shrugs ) ... Good luck.
It’s daisies, not roses. Can’t we? I mean, I heard the eskimoes have a nice thing going on.
Roses hurt more. Got those little thorns. I think they compliment sunshine better.
mmm... Too cold. Unless you have no problems sharing body heat, I guess.
my favorite story was about a man who’d live forever. a man who fell from the stars

It's not who you were It's who you are.
Finally I'm out of that...
Holy shit what happened?
Well someone has murdered our mayor.
And I'm sure that some shit it about to hit the fan.
Hey watch where you’re going.
Huh?
Oh.. ... Sorry. I ... (/ sigh ) Sorry.
I didn't step on you or anything, did I?
(/ mumbling incoherently )
MYTHOLOGY MEME | (3/8) LEGENDARY CREATURES
A WITCH is a practitioner of witchcraft. Witchcraft is the use of magical faculties, most commonly for religious, divinatory or medicinal purposes. This may take many forms depending on cultural context. The belief in and the practice of magic has been present since the earliest human cultures and continues to have an important religious and medicinal role in many cultures today. The concept of witchcraft as harmful is often treated as a cultural ideology providing a scapegoat for human misfortune. This was particularly the case in Early Modern Europe where witchcraft came to be seen as part of a vast diabolical conspiracy of individuals in league with the Devil undermining Christianity, eventually leading to large-scale witch-hunts, especially in Protestant Europe. Witch hunts continue to this day with tragic consequences. (x)

It’s easier to just hate both.
Just full of sunshine and roses, huh.
And that's true. But unfortunately we can't live without people.
Said But Never Done. // BLAIR&KALEN
—- Blair wasn’t sure why she had decided to attend the ball, nor why she felt herself actually being excited for it. She had put in a few extra shifts at the cafe to save enough money to buy her dress. It was plain, but pretty. It didn’t make her stand out, which was exactly what she was going for. The last thing she needed to was for everyone to be staring at her. She much preferred to hide in the shadows, watching everyone dance and laugh and have fun.
Something changed when she walked inside. The nervousness in the pit of her stomach slowly slipped away and was replaced with a feeling of sheer horror. Things around her started to tremble subtly and some even started to float or move around the room. Visions of a particular classroom flashed before her eyes. People running away from her. Bodies. Panic. Screaming it was her fault. It was her fault. It was always her fault.
I shouldn’t have come.
Things around her started to lift up and down in the air, she tried to make them stop but she felt herself loosing grip of her control. Her doe eyes searched around the room, making sure no one was watching. There was no way she could let her secret get out, let alone hurt anyone ever again. Her gaze fixated on a man walking towards her. Oh no, he saw. “I-I can’t control it, I don’t know whats happening, I can usually control it.” Her voice was frantic, but dropped down to a whisper when she remembered the other people around her.
When he got no immediate answer, Kalen was about to look for a hex bag, anything that might have put a curse on the poor girl. She seemed frightened out of her mind with what was happening, like she'd never seen this happen. He had to do something to put her mind at ease. Just until she murmured so quietly that she couldn't control it.
Couldn't control it?
Well ain't that some shit. Ok. So new tactic. He tugged on her arm and as quietly as possible to not draw any more attention told her, "Come on, we need to go." No sense in causing panic here. Really this would probably be the worse timing in the world. He could see the newspaper heading now - Witch Throws Mayor Through A Window.
Once they were out of public eye, he turned back to her. There didn't seem to be anything wrong with her, no markings, no tattoos, or anything that might have tripped a spell or some revenge ritual. So at least she's telling the truth on this being her own abilities. That really wasn't much of an improvement to be honest.
"It's ok. You're going to be ok. Just take deep breaths. No reason your body needs to freak out on you along with your powers." He wracked his brain for something that might help her, but came up empty. It was rare that he dabbled into magic much less this kind of obscurity. "Focus on something neutral. The ugly bland painting on the wall next to us is a good start." Strong emotions mixed with frazzled witch? Not a good thing. "Is this the first time you haven't been able to control it?" Maybe she didn't know she was a witch? That wasn't uncommon. Anything that could be a potential lead to some type help for her would be great.
Maybe she wasn't even a witch... But then what? There was something off about her but it wasn't exactly a feeling he could completely pin on her either.
I hate people.
But I love parties.
There's something wrong with me, I just know it.
Said But Never Done. // BLAIR&KALEN
Everyone is dressed in their finest and very best. Even Kalen, who had grown sorta used to the loose fitting clothes that made him look more like a hippie than a former cop, had gotten all spiffy-ed up. Though really he's lucky his suit still fits pretty well. Not once had he missed this charity event. It led to some fun times in his past. Smile, greet, shake hands, share some words, he knew this dance pretty well.
And then he felt it, that odd little tug when magic was being used, the smallest of surges that normally he wouldn't pay attention to. It felt... odd, however. A little off from the normal stuff at any rate. Trying to keep it as discrete as possible he looked for the source.
It wasn't until a loud thump of furniture being lifted just the smallest bit then unceremoniously dropped that he got the general location of the 'problem'. What in the world was this girl doing? Then he noticed the panic on her face. Oh man, this cannot lead to good things. But he had to help her. He got closer, putting his hands in front of him, just to show her that he meant no harm - a habit really. "Miss, are you ok?"
