So my in laws work in the dog business and I now horrifically curious if my mother in law has heard similar bonkers ideas. I know there's definitely people out there with strong opinions about neutering pets.. (there's even an industry for fake dog testicles so if you HAVE to neuter your dog you can get prosthetics put in) and I wouldn't be suprised if they overlapped

There is unfortunately a surprising amount of people out there who legitimately think neutering dogs, especially male dogs, is another form of basically force feminization and that yes, male dogs do know and mourn the loss of their nuts.

The guy who invented basically fake dog nuts is a wild story btw that I highly recommend reading.

I've been using these since forever and they work incredibly! Feel free to accommodate them to what resonates with you :)

I mostly say these phrases in my mind over and over again as I'm applying a certain product, you can say them out loud as well. Playing affirmations in the background can also work really well when you're putting that intention into your makeup! （˶′◡‵˶）

As you apply highlighter: "My essence shines through"

As you apply lipstick/gloss/balm: "My words are sweet. Everyone pays attention when I'm speaking"

As you apply lipstick/gloss/balm: "My words flow perfectly. Speaking my mind perfectly comes easy for me"

As you apply mascara: "These eyes see everyone's true essence. These eyes see through facades"

As you apply blush: "I am confident and assertive"

Remember to have fun with these! I mostly use these ones every time I'm putting on my makeup because they always work for me. However you can change them up to whatever intention you're setting for that day! Oo, this is a good one! I so rarely get to use it but I always find myself staring at the jar like what can I put you in....

So lungwort (Pulmonaria officinalis / P. angustifolia) is a perennial herb with small clusters of blue, pink, or violet bell-shaped flowers, tall hairy stems, and spotted or blotchy leaves. It was once used to treat illnesses of the lungs and still features in modern herbal medicine. It's also a commonly-found plant in ornamental gardens.

Magically speaking, lungwort is associated with the element of air and with healing, weather magic, particularly the summoning of wind, and travel. (Wind and travel associations often go together, as in the old maxim, "Go where the wind takes you.") Very little seems to be known about the magical associations of this herb. Most of the sources I have point to its' medicinal capabilities rather than any particular ritual use and I suspect the magical associations are based on the medicinal use.

Given its' history as a medicinal herb, lungwort can be used for any healing magic associated with respiratory complaints. If you want to get creative with the elemental association, you can use it in spells for travel protection, particularly while flying, or when trying to summon or quell a wind, or with any magic associated with breath.

Important Note: If you're going to buy lungwort, double-check the scientific name, as a lichen by the name of lungmoss (Lobaria pulmonaris) is sold as lungwort by some herbalists today.

🖤 Spell Jar for Protection 🖤

Ingredients/Equipment

Chilli Flakes (or Chilli Powder, whatever's around) - to ward off unwanted guests

Rosemary - purification, protection

Salt - absorbing negative energy, protection, purification

Black Pepper (both peppercorns and grounded) - banish negativity, protection from evil

3 Bay Leaves - protection from harmful energies

Protection Sigil or a Banish Negativity Sigil

Preferably Black Candle to seal the jar (white may be used as a substitute as I have done)

A Jar

A Funnel (trust me, if you don't use one shit will go everywhere, make and use a homemade paper funnel if you need to)

Spell Method

Cast a protective circle or do your own pre-spell rituals, whatever works for you and light the candle

Cleanse your equipment and ingredients (I use specific ritual incense but again whatever works for you, sage burning, etc)

Put the ingredients in the jar one at a time, repeating a chosen affirmation for protection with each one. The order doesn't nessicarily matter as the intent is what's most important. However, I recommend leaving the bay leaves until last

Use a marker to draw a sigil that represents protection or banishing negativity on at least one of the bay leaves. If you need to break up the leaves to fit them in the jar that's okay; again, the intention is what's most important

Close the jar and seal it with the wax from the candle

on this easter sunday i would just like to say-

leaving christianity has been the best thing i’ve ever done for myself. i can scarcely articulate just how good it is to be free of god & all the rest of it. it was terrifying, letting go of jesus, but i feel like i can finally rest. i feel like all those good things christianity promised me are happening only now that i’ve put it down. like i’ve been thrashing under the baptismal water my whole life, held down against my will, & now that i’ve surfaced- i can breathe. but it’s not new life in christ. it’s just.. new life. & it’s nice. it’s nice that not every one of my actions is steering me towards one of two great endings. it’s nice that i’m whole on my own & not a vessel for someone else’s spirit. it’s nice that the harm i do is solely my responsibility & i don’t get to outsource the blame to any fundamental nature. it’s even nicer that the good i do is all mine. it’s so nice that love & compassion is mine to give & receive as myself. that when i show goodness to another human, it is me & not christ in me. that when i love another human, i love them & not christ in them. & ofc it’s much more than nice, but for all the grand words that i could ascribe to it, it’s also much more ordinary. no more cosmic story. no more good vs evil. mostly, no more ultimate purpose. i suppose i can make my own. but the loveliest thing is this- i can just be.
